Coming at ya with some stats regarding the beast claws R1 (transformed R1 that is)

Beast claw with the beast embrace:
>Can get off 6 swings with 20 end and 9.3% increase in stamina cost in 4.14 seconds
>Deals 345 per swing
>This means you have a DPS of about 500 per second

Beast Claw without the Beast Embrace rune:
>Can get off 7 swings with same stats in 3.86 seconds

Testing was done on NG+ Cainhurst ghosts, gems used were two 26.3% and one 27.2% on a +10 claw (AR listed as 486), each swing down several times and when beasthood meter was gone so no damage multiplier was applied.

It's still a dream and it's still real, it's just a different plane of the universe. Would anyone actually want to become a great one though? Tbqhfamily I'd rather stay a hunter and just hunt great ones or some shit. Being a great one seems boring, all you do is watch over people and decide whether they live or die, knowing there is no challenge and nothing else to learn in the universe since once you become great you gain infinite knowledge and wisdom.

Going with the idea that different beastly forms are based in differing blood sources, we can explain beasts with MP, we can explain kin with Ebrietas, but we don't really have an explanation for what Cainhurst beasties are all about.

But here we have Orphan, probably the apex of Kos-related blood users, and he looks like a giant gargoyle. He even gets wing-like things in his second phase, and his arms have the beginnings of winglike growths in both phases.

To speculate even further, and I don't really have any evidence basis for this; maybe Burgertown stole the Kos blood for experimentation, succeeded only in making robins and things so shitty they're officially titled "Failures," and then they sealed the blood away. But one scholar stole this "forbidden" blood and took it to Cainhurst. Could be any number of reasons for doing that; reward from the Cainhursts, a desire to continue research on it, etc. Then you get a castle full of Orphan-looking fuckers, except dryer because it's not a fisherman town.

I don't know though, it might be a bit of a stretch.

Sure don't. Rakuyo doesn't want it at all and Reiter, as you mentioned, doesn't have the best scaling. You'll get a damage boost to the bullets from gems anyway, but your main use for bullets is getting viscerals so your 50 skill can rip anuses apart, they don't really need to hit hard. Endurance will also allow more BoM spam and more comfortable BB use if you're into those kinds of things.

Did Micolash have a line he said when he killed you before? I think I just heard it for the first time. All it is is "The cosmos, of course" delivered in a completely different tone.

Not if you've got bloodtinge, no, both of those get pretty good scaling with it. Blunderbuss in particular is notable because it's the only scattershot gun with good scaling. Pistol is only useful if you lack the skill for Evelyn.

If you don't have good bloodtinge, you should still get circle gems available on them, you can put pulsing gems in and get some health regen out of them.

You can choose one for PvP and one for PvE if you prefer.

The one I dislike the most is the Saw Cleaver, I think it has the most boringest design and all the tricked attacks look stupid to me. That said, I made a Henryk build and used it extensively, so it's not all bad.

For PvP, regular claws are probably the worst. Steak at least has one-shots, claws had nothing but R1 spam with similarly bad range. And again, that said, I've used claws a lot for PvP.

so guys here is the deal i can't access the dlc. yes i did all of the steps required. yes i restored my licenses. yes i turned it off and on. I even rebuilt my ps4's database via the safemode menu. i also reinstalled the game and the 9gb patch. My disc is also from the same region as the dlc. I'm getting frustrated because sony are being fucking useless. I just want to play the new content that's all. Does anyone have any ideas became i'm all out.

As for the roar, I've looked into it a little more. I think there's an undeniable connection between the roar and an increase in beasthood buildup per hit.... But I can't tell if it's a self buff you're applying to yourself or if it's a debuff you apply to the target you're attacking. Honestly I think it might be the latter.

Do Rom's spiders appear outside of the boss fight? What about the skeletal puppets in micolash's fight? Seems like such a waste to have those enemies appear in those moments only.

Just tested whirlgig saw +8 for the first time on my strenght twink that was progressed in the mensis and holy shit this thing is powerful, using only the story gems i just sawd through the place. Upped it to +10 immediately as I could completely raped story Ebrietas on my first try, something that I have never done before.
I'm in love, can't wait to get some chalice gems in this beast ripper.

I have 859AR with all my gems and 568AR without. Bolt damage is 118 without gems. I got a normal abyssal gem so I think it can go really high with a cursed one. I think there's an Odd Bolt gem in the DLC that really boosts your damage.
