If 8+ drops were to scale properly from the ridiculously overpowered 2 drops, their effects would literally be "win the game". Instead, the more expensive a minion is, the less it gives, and the more the game punishes you for over investing. I move a few cards around depending on if I'm running into a lot of a certain archetype.

Double void terror with brann and argus for example have been stomping all the aggro druids. However, for example, if I happen to run into a lot of control, I swap a void terror and dire wolf for more resiliency depending on the class of the control decks

Said fucking no one ever. Reno doesn't even counter Secrets Paladin. In fact any Reno deck is countered by Zoo or Tempo. If anything it made Secrets better because it counters aggro decks that actually did well against secrets.

I've beaten reno that healed for 29 because midrange decks have the staying power to outlast them.

It's funny how reno decks are bending over backwards to accommodate just one card. I faced a reno warrior one time that had to run crush to fill its slots. It's pretty sad.

It's good, you play it with two ofs and cut the cards that aren't actually that different. Like, Novice + Loot instead two Loot is no big deal, also Blizzard + Cone instead of two Blizzard etc. Amnesia played it to top 5 Legend and he says it's way better, JJ won a tournament with it.

All in all superior to old Freeze.

It's such a conditional OTK that it's pure garbage.

Your opponents side of the board needs to be clear, otherwise this won't work.

You are assuming good RNG - there is a fairly high chance that only one Axe flinger will be hit 5 times and that's it. 10 damage for 3-4 cards? That's shit.

In reality you are looking at minimum of 10 and maximum of 18 damage. An RNG dependant combo with such a low damage output for 4 cards and 11 mana (so it needs to be Thaurissan'ed, and I'm not counting commanding shout because it doesn't do anything here) is absolute fucking garbage tier.

How could anyone possibly think this is good

There's ways to make this better, such as buffing the Axe Flingers or adding more whirlwind effects, but come on. It's still trash tier

Let me tell you a little story about a kid I met at a GP 5 years ago. His name was Andrey Yanyuk and I played him in the 6th round, we were both 5-0s. He seemed like your typical grinder scumbag, checking cards in hand and graveyards every 3 seconds looking for any reason to call a judge.

Anyways, he was slow playing the whole match because my deck had a massively favorable post-board matchup against his and he won the first game. I took game 2, and it looked like I was going to take game 3. But he slow played so much that it ended up being a 1-1 draw, and in GPs that's as bad as a loss for both people.

A few months later that whole cheating scandal happened, and I wasn't surprised for a second. Someone that intentionally slow plays to rob someone of a win for a draw is capable of anything.

That's the personal experience I've had with the kid and he hasn't changed a bit since then. The fact that he built popularity of controversy and acting like a baby only goes to show how shitty Twitch and HS are collectively. You do that shit in the MtG scene and you get shunned like a disease.

How do I make this beast hunter work? I'm like 1-3 in casual with it. Eboladin, tempo mage and a smorc ran over me. It seems to run out of HP though it did beat a by the book dragon priest.

MC, easily.

A lot of the time it's not even THAT bad, depending on what class you play. A single minion on board and BGH usually removes all value from MC. Of course if they already had board control and you had nothing, you were losing anyway.

With Skillmane, it's not easy to remove at all. You can spend a lot of resources killing the 6/5 body and the end result is that basically you only removed 2 attack from board, and this is not even counting freezing trap or other shit they might have (and superior burst to paladin).

Of course paladin overall has stronger cards than hunter currently.

MC on it's own in pally is not all that broken broken. The problem is that paladin also has the best 2 drop in the game, the best 3 drop in the game, it can follow up MC with Boom into Tirion.

In a vacuum, Highmane is just the stronger card. MC just contributes to overall power level of paladin and pushes it over the edge. This is why patron was broken as well - none of the cards in patron decks were broken or super strong on their own, it's the combination of all the stuff that made patron deck broken. Same thing with paladin, it's the combination of every pally card that makes paladin tier 1 broken right now
