Some inevitable, some unlikely. I've never had a grill cause problems in a /vg/ guild, at least not for the actual guild or more than one or two players. Yeah but they're all awful. You're killing things as Thau the same way you would as Chrono; with your pyro / cryo / kino skills.

Honestly there is nothing in the game a lot of CON is useful for. On my Wizards I get around 40-50 CON at lv200 which puts me at about 8.5k total HP before Gems and that's plenty.

I dunno, I feel like sorc as it is now is a one circle wonder. At circle 2 you've ltierally maxed every useful skill, and have 2 skills+points left over (attack ground and summon salamion), of which one is only a one point skill.

I honestly think sorcs current skill set is going to be the one you have for final at circle 1, regardless of what the "you're given access to them all because it's a beta and they want people to test it" comments. If that was the case, why did they make reaching job 15 such a task?

Swell arm with shrink and attributes can really do a lot of damage. Also you can still get +218 damage with maxed attribute on just the buff in c1. It's definitely noticeable.

You're going to take linker regardless, really. That's why I didn't even really factor in Kino. I mean I think c1 elementalist would still be better for just damage while soloing than Kino would be, but I'm just guessing.

See cleric is mostly support with some damage trees, but cleric support also does damage either through autos or mechanics like cure. Wizard tries to have both damage and support trees but the support is entirely support, with no options while soloing. Thaum might be able to use a damage ability, or maybe change shrink to do more damage than just the attribute deals, but I think chrono could use it more, if only to draw people away from sorc and give us variety.

ToS needs a ring of flame lord like item that let's you trigger the following skills when auto-attacking by chance:

You know what they need to remove from this game? That thing where a group of enemies ninja you and instantly aggro. It's interesting enough as an occasional thing, part of a quest or something, like how things tend to aggro you whenever you have to interact with something in a quest, but running across a map and having like 11 times where a group of enemies pops up and instantly cast homing bullets that each do like 700 damage gets tiring.

Yeah the wizard support classes actually feel like a committal toward supporting compared to the cleric classes for sure.

Honestly you could get away with going Wiz > Pyro > Linker > Thau > Chrono. I played pyro / linker / thau to 185 or so, and fireball / flame ground against linked enemies just carries so hard. Since they're both multihit you get tons of mileage out of Arde Dagger and other elemental damage gear.

I haven't played an Ele yet, so I don't know if C1 would really help you that much, but I do know that pyro/linker is enough to get you by if you plan on playing purely support.

That's fine as long as they don't +30000 themselves back to full hp. It makes sense for them to run away sometimes. I like how enemies are fairly good about running to heals laid out for them too. What they need to do is fix that invincibility buff they get when they bolt from an npc. They either get stuck in aggro and run back and forth or they pile up and get stuck and invincible.

Look at the enormous difference in how long it takes to get class levels between ranks as it is now. Now imagine the difference at rank 8 or 9. People need long term goals, but they need to be able to actually achieve those goals too.
It's not like this is some early release under the excuse of an open beta either. I don't think it even has a release date in Korea and they're way ahead of us. It's an actual "please test our game, it's so shit broken right now" beta. I wouldn't be too concerned about stuff like that in the final release.

This is also why arguments about Arde Dagger and other gear are stupid. We're all gearing up like twinks and treating it as endgame. Arde Dagger is the defias set of ToS.

"Grinding" essentially meant cheesing through the entire mission without killing shit because normal mobs were pointless. You spent more time loading than actually playing. Elementalist is a class to take for life or not take at all. C1 is really bad and you'll level with your Pyro skills (that still scale greatly even on ranks 4+), but C2 is where the class starts to shine. Its sustained DPS spikes and you get Meteor, which is a great overkiller even on level 1. On C3, you'll have a god of damage, with Frost Cloud ticking for over 3k every half second. You really get the full package on C3, but on C2 you already start to never sit on cooldowns.

Wow this class is fucking shit. I really wanted to love this class but C1 and C2 were totally fucking garbage. Grinding was a pain in the ass and bosses took forever to kill even with really good gear. I bought the best I could get off market and I still took 5+ min to kill a boss. Cryo C2 has to be the most useless circle of any class. You get two completely useless skills and pretty much nothing else. Oh slightly higher pike damage and more fucking ice walls you can't utilize yet, what a joke.

C3 is okay but it really falls apart when you cast your heavy hitters. Every skill has like a min CD, why the fuck? You have to rely on your autos to even do anything decent because Wizard C1 is worthless.

I'm current Cryo C3 > Linker, unsure what to do after Rank 5 but Cryo is just frustration. The class is really cool but it's hampered down by unnecessarily long cooldowns and SHIT skills, I mean bolt is subpar and gust and subzero shield are a fucking joke. I took them in C2 because I wanted SOMETHING to fill the gaps because waiting for pike and wall to get off cooldown is pure suffering. Wow, were they fucking serious with these moves? Why the fuck does Cryo have gust anyway? Give me Frost Ground or something, not this shit.

But yeah, horrible start aside. It's just subpar right now and I'm geared through my teeth. I heard people saying Cryo C3 is where they really surpassed Pyro in DPS, bullll fucking shit. Cryo is nowhere near Pyro's DPS, not even half. Pyro can at least keep Flame Ground up 100% of the time. Cryo is just waiting for your shit to get off CD and auto attacks.

Am I just doing it wrong because fuck me, this is frustrating.

Nope, welcome to Cryo. Freezing is great for normal hunting but when it comes to bosses get used to auto attacking for a long, long time. At least we can ice wall, but it has a huge cooldown too, and an unlucky link to the boss means your wall is gone in a few hits. Imagine how it is to only have c1 damage and no other offensive tree because Linker is mandatory and elementalist is a commitment.

This is why I was saying wizard needs more offensive options. Not everyone wants to go pyro, and you shouldn't be forced into it.
