I'm pretty sure it's slashing except for the charged R2 when tricked. The easiest way to check that sort of thing is to look for shockwaves and dust on the hits that touch the ground.

I fought Rom in the chalice earlier and spiders weren't spawning properly, only to suddenly appear when I got close to where they were supposed to be (telefragging me one time, too), and I've had a couple different bosses apparently completely ignore collision for several seconds in a fight.

The trick here is to take on the boss without healing until you feel comfortable with him at first. Regardless if you heal or not, if you haven't memorized a boss' pattern you ARE going down, unless you manage to do it on the first attempt.

For a strength build should I go 18 arc for auger or just stay at 15. Being able to parry while two handing seems strong but I haven't played with it yet. Otherwise I would put these one end to push it to 12 to 15 but that seems redundant with 20% rune

But I didn't actually try the bosses until 72.

However 70 with a +10 weapon is overkill thoug. I ended the DLC at lvl 76, basically barely lvled at all.

NG+ DLC is hell for any character that isn't well planned out though, with at least decent gems backing it up.

I had to give it up on my first character since she simply wasn't even close to being a good build and her damage output was abysmal with low 20's in her offensive stats and no good gems.

Going through DLC in NG with a lower level but appropriately built character feels much more rewarding.
