So it seems blood gems disappearing in the DLC is a thing. I put all in my storage box and went into the optional part of the fisher village, where you get the Beast Hide Garb.

I picked up three gems(radial, waning, waning), but when I checked my inventory at the end, I only had the circular gem.

I'll go into the cave next because that should give a far bigger sample, but someone with higher item discovery should have a better chance of getting any usable data.

The Beast Cutter's stat requirements changed from 15/15 to 11/9 between the demo and the real release, so you can leave skill at base for Cruel Fate.

Repeating Pistol with minimum bloodtinge investment is pretty bad, don't do it. Just leave it at 5 and go with the normal pistol.

Consider using "saw" weapons like the Saw Cleaver, Saw Spear, Threaded Cane, and Whirligig Saw, since they get a damage bonus against giant beasts like Watchdog of the Old Lords and Amelia. Farm the bonewagon enemies in post-Rom Yahargul and depth 5 CFR dungeons for beasthunter gems.

Without higher BT there's no point investing in BT at all as you wont be doing any damage with your gun anyway, same for repeater pistol: may as well use normal pistol as it will just be for parries anyway. Loch shield is arcane shield so you don't need it at all for hunting beasts, I would put fist of gratia there.

Other than that you got two serrated weapons which is good, and the stat spread is fine too. Just need to think about your left hand a bit more

Last I checked, if the Hunter rune goes hostile the other player's title will always read as "Vileblood", and to them yours says "Hunter of Hunters". I don't think I've ever seen a title that says "Blood-addled Hunter", even though the message that pops up when you're spawning says it.

Love it, it made the whole game a lot more vibrant, the new enemies and weapons are crazy and anime, and yet somehow it still adds up to a coherent package along with the main game. Whereas I thought DaS DLC was more of the same which was excellent, and DaS2 DLC was great and so basically saved the game, I think this one actively adds, and yes, 'expands' the main game. But like truly expands it, more than just adding new levels and weapons, it's made the scope of the game a lot wider. Another DLC triumph for the From lads

Your level doesnt matter THAT much. Make sure you have at least a +6 weapons with 20 main stats. Some decent gems from the Brain Trusts in Mensis help too.

Abhorrent beast is technically in the main game, but not as a boss. If you're going to count him, add Beast-Possessed Soul to that list.

There's also Undead Giant, Keeper of the Old Lords, and maybe one or two more I can't immediately recall. Some of the base enemies that become bosses get new attacks they didn't have before, like pigs getting an instant charge and backwards kick.

Orphan of kos is pretty easy with the bowblade, but I don't see how this guy would even be possible with a melee build holy shit

Don't do Root Chalice's (yet).

They are the procedurally generated ones which are only for farming items.

If you want all trophies you only need to do the Layer 5 Pthumeru, but it requires material from Ailing Loran and either Lower Loran or Isz to reach it.

You should also find the Beast Claws and the Workshop Haze Extractor on your way, and if you bother doing Hintertombs (100% unesisary for Platnium or high end gems) you'll get a set of cloths.

If you want good gems then you do Root Chalice's that are Layer 5 and have all the additional rites for maximum difficulty and maximum quality of loot.

Is there a better moment in any of the souls games than when living failures summons the meteors from space? Seeing that made my jaw drop.

Petrolpenny was a Father for a foreign religion, and because a Hunter out of necessity. Dude had a family to protect. He's too recent to be taught by Gehrman, and in fact Henryk might also be too recent. Remember, Gehrman was involved with the very beginnings of literally everything. I don't think the badge means to say that the first HoH came to Yharnam as a Hunter already, but that the first HoH came to Yharnam, saw shit was fucked, and took a novel approach to the problem by becoming a Hunter who hunted blood-addled Hunters. He/she then passed on this duty to other foreigners who were good enough and resilient enough against blood to put down the crazies. Kind of like what Eileen does when you come along. What about the Saw Hunter Badge? Old Hunter Badge? Spark Badge? Powder Keg Badge? These are all badges made by Hunters, recognized by other Hunters only. Just because Hunters sprung from the Healing Church does not mean they stayed that way. They evolved and branched off into more and more niches, kind of like the Church itself, which came from Byrgenwerth, and branched into Mensis and The Choir.

Hunters of Hunters is just another niche, but filled by only one person, usually. They are foreigners who dress as crows, carry the Blades of Mercy, and hunt those who have lost their wits.

Not in any kind of confirmed way. Great Ones exist on multiple planes, even the ones we meet in Yharnam/the dungeons. We don't even know how Great Ones truly come about -- only how to become kin. There are probably hundreds of Great Ones floating about in other cities, countries, and worlds, even arguably space.

Nah. Those are properly from whatever different world/space they're from. When the choir messed around with Ebrietas' blood they eventually were visited by the bobbleheads and Iosefka used modified old blood to eventually turn people into bobbleheads. Nah, it's fine for arc builds. But if all you're using is tools you really should have more than 50 arc. Doesn't really matter once they hand you the brew, however. That shit tears all the npcs apart.

That's the suffering involved with an ARC build, I'm afraid. Only advice I can give you is to run past everything and have a cooperator carry you through the bosses.

I went in with a 50 arc build and managed to get the kin mode. Just get yourself a reliable weapon, stuff it full of the biggest elemental weapons you can find, and cut everything down. The fishing village showers you with rank 17 bolt gems, so you should have something powerful and electric by the time you reach Orphan. Especially useful for Tonitrus.

incredibly good stagger and rally potential in club form, strong followup to charged R2 also in club form. Great for simply smashing stuff to bits. Tentacle mode speaks for itself. Huge sweeping reach, great backstep/sprinting attacks and R2's multihit gimmick can be really strong. Builds beasthood like no other. Pretty generous with attacks that knock people flat too.

No. Nothing came from space. The emissaries and ebrietas were taken from Isz. Fauxsefka mastered the technique to replicate them. The Healing Church failed miserable and ended up with Living Failures.
