The first blacksmith sells titanite shards, you could easily get more than one regular weapon to +5 by the time you reach him, unless you were using rare weapons, which are supposed to be harder to upgrade anyway. You also buy large shards when you got to the giant blacksmith, you can pretty much beat the game with a +10 weapon anyway.

Estus in DaS3 seems to heal you way too fast and it's hard to punish.
At least in Bloodborne you could shoot and riposte people who try to heal and weapons killed enemy players pretty quickly anyway, now fights are going to last forever.

Is Dragon Flame viewed as a crutch similar to Pyromancy? The DPS isn't much unless the host is naked and primarily I use it to push people back into the bonfire room people love to sit in that hallway with a halberd and 100% dmg shield, shield break for punch openings, and long distance chip damage. Help a mate out. I'm using a +10rapier, +5 red rust scimitar and a +10 large club. I can't for the life of me beat the ivory king.
I use the club for the loyce knights phase and then switch to the rapier for the boss.
Here's the thing, i don't think i'm doing nearly enough damage to do this, the fight always drags on way too long.

Gravelord sword is my goto PVP weapon. Poise breaks all but the heaviest of builds and the toxic stacks on block as well, not to mention you can get it immediately after arriving at Firelink. Dark Silver Tracer is great as well thanks to its speed and stupid crit damage, but you have to play through most of the game + DLC to get it.

Poison throwing knives and dung pies are always fun, just remember dun pies toxin you as well.

Toxic is my favorite because it makes most players panic. People don't really prepare for it outside of PvE, and not many realize humanity cleanses it.
