Nah. Doing it in the caves actually works. the moment you see them, run to them, bait the attack, parry, and you'll actually not take frenzy damage because you'll have iframes during the entirety of the parry animation.

The caves also lets you fight one at a time.

Literally amazing. You should down parry cunts with the MLG lazers and black sky, you shut down loch cunts with the Axe L2, you shut down BoM spammers with the spray, you shut down everything. The Axe just dominates when they're not parrying with it's reach and damage, and the MLG covers all your gaps. Damage on both is huge too, with the right gems.

The difficulty of this dlc is an intention piece of the design, not because they wanted the game to be hard just for the sake of it being hard but because they were trying to show you how much of a living nightmare that the Hunter's Nightmare actually is. Just about everything in this nightmare is meant to be brutal and difficult and challenging because it's a literal nightmare.

You walk into the lair of a transformed, horrifying beast of a hunter who held out the longest of all hunters, Ludwig and as we know the longer you hold out the more horrible of a beast you become. Not only is he one of the greatest hunters but this makes him one of the strongest beasts ever when you think of it. Ludwig is going to kick your ass up an down the Underground Corpse Pile because that's who he is. He's a nightmare of a beast and in his second form he's the nightmare of all hunters.

It's a quality weapon with split damage arcane, you'll get a shitload more damage on a str/skill build, on an arcane only you'll barely be hitting reasonable damage compared to any other faster weapon you can hit bigger numbers on

This is my main issue with Bloodborne. Farming wasn't required in DS/DS2 for this shit. It sucks. Demons Souls you had to farm for grass but they fixed it in DS. I wish we did not have 3 things leveling our damage.

If we're talking iframes, Dark Souls had less, but I still found it easier, shield or no shield. Demon's Souls had the most and was the easiest between the moveset utility and plethora of healing items.

fishing hamlet enemies have high drop rates on much better gems than those found in the main game. you will probably pick up a couple just clearing the area. 20% bolt radials from the wizards (HIGH drop rate) is a huge improvement over the previous state of arcane, where you could get like one radial 15% nourishing per game playthrough. it hardly qualifies as "farming"

Are you serious? All of Artorias' attacks are well telegraphed and all of them can be dodged with ease once you get used to the delay he has in some of his swings. The only mistake you could make is rolling the same direction as the swing and wind up out of iframes but still in his hitbox. If that happens, its your own fault. I could do that fight on NG+7 with base vit without trouble.

I found Dark Souls to be overall harder than BB, but that's largely because I got used to playing super aggressively in DeS, and DkS kicks you in the nuts any time you try to be aggressive in it. BB, meanwhile, is designed around letting you play aggressive. Fits much better with my playstyle.

That being said in DkS you could trivialize basically every enemy in the game by just parrying/roll BS'ing its attacks on reaction.

DkS2 is the hardest, but it's also shit.

Not worth it at 40str/25skl imo. Its scaling is close to burial blade's. 0.3 strength, 0.7 skill. It's not even a weighted quality weapon like saw spear, leveling priority is 50 in skill before putting a single point in strength.

That being said, i fucking love this thing. Its transformed mode reminds me of 2H katana's playstyle from DeS. Very cool weapon.

What level should I have been around for vicar amelia? I just beat her first try at level 30 with a+6 saw cleaver (got a tonne of twin shards from yahar'gul and hemwick) and the fight was comically easy. For the most part I just stood on her and mashed R1->L1 and she barely fought back. I thought this was supposed to be some critical midgame boss but she was easier than Paarl.
