Each commander has a specific active ability that you can use in mid battle if the commander is in the captain slot.

I forgot to add. When you level up commanders, you activate their passive abilities. Which in turn can give massive boosts when properly leveled up.

what did you expect exactly? ramming does damage to the enemy equal to the maximum hp of yours and does damage to you equal to the maximum hp of enemy

i.e. minekaze ramming farragut will always sink but farragut sometimes can survive

the current hp of the target doesn't matter (being half-destroyed doesn't make you weight less, n'est-ce pas?)

As for ships to keep, pretty much the Cleveland for reason stated above.

Any advice for how to play a Fubuki in T7+ matches? Everyones always so far away and the extra torp range doesnt help me much cause most of the time if someone adjusts their heading even slightly they all completely miss by a mile. And if I do a wide spread from long range each torp is like a mile apart from each other by the time they reach the target. The reload time is also a real pain in the ass.

The thing is, in game whenever you would actually encounter a CL, they usually are mildly balanced. You rarely ever see someone crying that CLs are OP or UP. You only see them tiers 1-6ish.
So CLybabies really don't exist.

Torpedos with good angles.


The DM has autoloaders and thats about it.
Its shell velocity is absolute shit. It cannot hit anything behind 10km reliably. What it does hit with the armor changes is a joke.
HE will bounce or do little damage.
Last I checked plunging fire still wasn't that effective with AP.
Thanks to the handicapped range and shell velocity anything that you do engage at 10km and below will either be able to torp you or just straight up delete you with better guns.

Its AP damage is crap and its HE damage is laughable.
1/3 of the AA of the Balti for about 20 percent more AA range. Larger citadel than the Baltimore. More repair costs than the Baltimore.

The most advanced and most powerful heavy cruiser in the world at it's time is the weakest tier 10 in WoWs. What a fucking joke.

You're hills are the massive amounts of islands/fog.
You can't really have hills in a naval battle anon. If you want to have a different perspective play a sub or a CV in SO.
Most sub players are bad, but its definitely a different type bote that gets used to.

Unlike all of the other botes, when you go sub surface all sound stops. Its just silence with occasional sonar pings.

Good luck on your finals.

I will try out SO when they fix how ships start and stop, as well as the subs' silly movement. Reticle bloom is annoying, but I'm sure I can deal with that.

You get used to the starting and stopping. If I can hit ships with TBs, you can predict the players movements with guns.
The reticle bloom can be drastically reduced by skills/ship equipment and smart ship movement/planning.

Its definitely much different to adjust to compared to Steel Ocean after playing WoWs so long.
