Pretty simple. Find a good teammate who knows how to roam, and stick with them after you're done babysitting your safe lane.

Gank mid with smoke if you know how to, even if your mid is a retard creating space for him can let even a complete idiot contribute to your team.

Ward like a motherfucker. Wards stop your team from getting ganked, and lets you spot enemies to gank. Then find a partner to roam with and use Venge's stun and armor debuff to fuck the enemy up (bonus points if your ganking partner can follow up with another stun and has high physical DPS). Then after you kill a fucker, plant a deep ward somewhere not immediately where you killed the enemy, so that you can set up more ganks and so that the enemy doesn't immediately de-ward it because they suspect you killed them because you had ward vision.

Use your ultimate to (1) save a valuable teammate who got jumped on, and (2) pull an important enemy completely out of position. Good swaps will literally win matches, and you fuck the enemy over by dying anyways.

Just more practice is what you really need, same with every hero. Team communication too, learn to use your mic to coordinate instead of flaming your teammates.

Land Hooks, and learn when is a good time to initiate. Jumping solo into the entire enemy team is usually not a good thing, and you have to try to keep being a pain in the ass after Hookshot, like specifically trying to interrupt their big spell caster or stopping them from approaching at all.
