Attack, then wait ~10s then attack again.
Repeat.

Only in Devil Deal pool, but it is always available there.

The only real "hint" you need is to keep practicing.
Once you can complete the first two floors without being hit at all, you'll likely be getting Devil Deal items every run.

If you can do that, you'll be well in the clear for a good run.

Holy hell, is there a single person who has filled it all the way up to 999 with out using chaos card+hourglass?

An entire run, the main gameplay of greedmode is pretty fun, I enjoy(ed) greed mode before the patch. Then there's ultragreed, the worst fucking boss in the whole fucking game. Everything about this boss is bullshit, if you lose to him, its most likely due to bullshit. The bullet patterns and attacks are easy to dodge, its harder to dodge monstros attacks. BUT EVERYTHING FUCKING ELSE ABOUT THE FIGHT IS TOTAL FUCKING BULLSHIT. Oh hey go ahead and buff the health of the fucking coins to the point of not being able to shoot them, I fucking love dealing with 100 mobs, boss getting healed, or bombs. Oh and that cock suckers scaling health is fucking bullshit. Both new bosses have new and ""unique"" and """"""fun"""""" health systems. Hush has a damage cap, where it can only take a static maximum of damage, this is still pretty fucking stupid, but it doesn't feel like a GIANT FUCKING MIDDLE FINGER like ultra greeds scaling damage.

More indepth on this is that the entire rest of the game has a balancing show between fire power and defense, having moms knife and crickets head is better than just having the wafer, this is because you can kill the bosses before having to really deal with dodging, these fights ruin this balance by punishing you for getting too powerful. Wafer is now better than having moms knife brimstone crickets head two pentagrams tech x, because even with alllllll that damage dealing powerups, YOU STILL DO THE EXACT SAME FUCKING DAMAGE. The reason why ultra greed is more bullshit than hush is because with hush, if you didn't know any better, you would just think that the boss is really really hard. With ultra greed you see the scaling. (1/2)

No really, the only reason why I should have to use bombs in a fight is early game when I don't have enough fire power to deal enough damage with tears alone. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO USE BOMBS TO MAKE THE GAME THINK I AM WEAKER THAN I REALLY AM SO I CAN TAKE OFF ANOTHER SLIVER OF THIS FUCK FACE OF A BOSSES HEALTH. No really, best strategy for ultra greed is;

Then we finally kill this cock sucker and put into the greed machine... a single fucking coin I AM GOING TO GO TO HIS HOUSE AND CHOKE HIM TO DEATH WITH STAKE.

Greed machine jamming is bullshit because the donation machine jamming is bullshit, its just that the bullshit is 1000000 times larger because instead of having to go into a store, pop in some coins to have it just jam, you can just shrug it off and finish your run or just reset, WITH THE GREED MACHINE YOU WENT THOUGH THE ENTIRE FUCKING RUN TO PUT IN A FEW MEASLY COINS.

Can you imagine the hell it would have been to try to get 999 coins into that machine legitimately? You would have to beat greed mode, fight that bullshit boss, if you are somewhat lucky and can get an average of ~9 coins in per run, it would take you over 100 runs.

I understand not wanting people to just break the game and put in 999 coins in a single run, but a better solution would be to just have it break after 99 coins, that way, if you have a perfect run of saving 99 coins for the machine, you don't feel like the game is giving you a giant middle finger and jamming. Only 11 runs.

Alright, finished Lazarus and got Post-its for literally everyone except Isaac and The Lost now. All that's left are those two and Brains, along with The Keeper when Edmund stops being a faggot. I'm gonna sit on this game until Lost's Holy Mantle is released though because this steak has gotten cold and I'm sick of playing a game where completing is futile because some indie devs were mad their secret was uncovered a nanosecond before intended. I'm starting to have fun again, but not as much as Rebirth's launch

Still a very decent effect. To date I have not regretted taking No. 2. Very nice to have in Greed Mode as well if you can't manage to get any bombs the normal way, as you can just keep blowing up the reroll machine with free butt bombs instead of wasting coins.

Been shoveling shitty horrible damage runs as maggie all day trying to beat mega satan and hush. I finally get a run that gives me enough power to go through floors at a reasonable speed. Not finding any angel rooms as usual due to taking idiot damage. Finally get one on womb 1. Womb 2 nothing, but I get to hush with thirty seconds to spare. Get goat head from a hush room hoping this will give be angel rooms. Beat hush with no effort due to picking up the mind. No angel room on cathedral. No dads key to be found. I blow through blue baby without clearing many rooms and decide to keep clearing for a chance at a joker card or dad's key, and find a card on the second to last fucking room.

Is Azazel still "nerfed"? He honestly feels just as strong as before.

Dead eye is so good, it's essentially just double damage on anything that takes sustained hits.

Never pick up anything that splits your tears though. I got cricket's body with it and all the little shots that don't hit anything count as misses, pretty much completely negating it, I assume parasite does the same thing, I'd add this to the wiki if I knew how.

Maggie gets shit everywhere. The low damage is what kills me. If I'm right, characters starting damage isn't just a baseline, it's a multiplier, so a maggie run is always going to be significantly weaker than the same run as a different character. Low damage plus low speed makes most runs go so painfully slow.
Judas is my favorite for the same reasons. Health is for scrubs and when I fuck up I want it to be punishing.

There might be a flag that makes it so that it works specifically for Eve's version of WoB, but the normal item WoB doesn't proc when running on only soul hearts anymore. I traded the last of my HP away for it a couple runs ago and didn't get any of the bonuses.

I used quotes because he still feels overpowered to me. Even the weakened brimstone deals decent damage, he can still pick up red hearts, he has flying and good speed, and starts with black hearts. The only disadvantage is his range, and the speed makes up for that. I just think he's inherently broken.
