Witcher 3 is one of the most expansive, well-written games I've ever played, considering its size.
It's like the anti-Fallout 4, there isn't a single main quest or sidequest in the entire game which isn't considered with some level of decisionmaking.

Every single one has a moral choice that I could see being justified, and you'll just stumble across them randomly sometimes.
At one point I met a guy in the woods who had, for plenty of good reasons and plenty of bad ones, slaughtered most of a village, and I was given exactly as many choices as I wanted to decide how to deal with him.
He wasn't important to some other quest, he wasn't an optional companion, he was just there because CDPR decided to make more good content for you to find.

The only times I ever came across a "bad" quest was when I realized my choices in Witcher 2 had meant the associated character was dead, or nowhere to be found, or something like that.

Rise of the Tomb Raider I'm p sure is mediocre

Partly because they wanted a stronger focus on story, thus they bounce between characters like crazy rather than just getting a selection of fun powers built up over time. Another part is they thought they difficulty needed to go up, and they cranked it up to annoying.

The real shame is that there's very little to no surprises anymore. Hotline Miami always kept you on your toes with special events in stages, but 2 they pretty much have you kill everyone and the mission ends for what goes on for what feels like twice as long as the original.

Rain World is just dull. Oh, I don't have Hotline Miami 2 as much as most. I did enjoy the story and I completely disagree with people who say the first had a better soundtrack. HM2 is synthwave heaven and every level having a unique track carried me through the whole thing. I even enjoyed a good deal of the gimmicks they tried like the journalist and Snakemask guy. I'm just warning you, the game gets more frustrating than fun the further you go and the end of the fans 1/3rd of the way through the game is basically the end of fun gameplay. It's not like the greatest thing I've ever played in my life but it's fun and it works, and there's more options on how to customize your combat style than the previous games.
It's sort of a way-less-handholdy version of Arkham combat, you've got light attacks, heavy attacks, dodges, and "gadgets" with your signs.
Difference being that enemies are WAY more varied than in the Arkham games and there's no "you're a retard" signals over enemies' heads to show you exactly what to do.

I went through a good number of gates and areas. It's hard to say how far you get when you have every direction open to you and can come and go from them at the start of the game as soon as you learn how the karma system works. I eventually saw as far as I could in each direction before I was basically finding no food and way too many hostiles and then I looked up what I was supposed to do and got bored because I knew I would be following this guide for the rest of the game if I wanted any hope of making any progress because I did accidentally stumble on some things on my own like the reveal of what yellow blob thing is and such but I had no idea what they wanted me to do with this progress.
