If you think tanks are simple, you must play kusoge shit like XIV. Healers have it extremely easy because they always know what to do, unlike DPS, their role is reactive. "Big damage boss ability coming out?" better shield.prep a big-dick heal. There's no guess work or complexity. It's also easier than tanking because healers are ALWAY ranged which means they can subver t a ton of mechanics due to distance alone.

Whenever I get into a dungeon with DPS, there's always a fuckup from either the tank or the healer.

I miss the days when the healing role was something that each individual took care of for themselves, usually by means of having an inventory of potions and medkits or some low-tier healing skills, and any more dedicated healing types were versatile mages who could do more than just heal.

How to make a fun healer:

This is how literally every skill in existence works. I've been rock climbing for a long time now, and I cringe a little when I watch people go on a gym wall that are making mistakes I perceive to be super obvious. However, they're perfectly good climbers. It's the same with musicians hearing when somebody playing their instrument fucks up, but manages to conceal it well. They still notice it even when most others don't.

With MMO roles, you really have to have played a role before you can effectively critique someone's performance beyond only the most obvious level.
