So this year's E3 was a fucking disappointment. I mean, there were some high points but pretty much everything ranged from being meh, to shit we already knew about, to shit that NO ONE cares about. There was no winning conference, all of them were mediocre.

How do we fix the gaming industry? Everyone seems to agree that it looks bleek.
Why doesn't anyone organize the way that SJWs do or any other group that has put gaming into the shitter?
id suggest:
>more gameplay, interaction, TECHNOLOGY over realism (specifically graphics)
>risky new IPs
>relevant soundtracks
>advertising that isnt just gameplay footage or ingame cutscenes
>interaction that extends beyond pushing buttons on a pad
>surrealism

Because the people who want to play games don't want to waste time and energy organizing political movements. All SJWs and other groups have are politics.

Let's get real. I really don't understand... Most of the games Sony showed at this conference are their now "classic" Uncharted/TLoU narrative focused fare/QTE ridden movies; even GoW is going narrative focused, and that's a spectacle hack and slash in the same court as DMC and Bayonetta (albeit kiddy by comparison). shit like Days Gone doesn't seem to be offering anything new gameplay wise other then lots of zombies that look cool and can be used as an environmental hazard. Seriously, Most of the games shown don't vary enough with interesting gameplay. Even Spider man, which does look good, looks to have alot of QTEs in the gameplay and "tap x to win". What is going on??????? Also, almost all of these games come out next year. Xbox, PC, and Nintendo seem to all have offerings with interesting gameplay and good narrative. Other then Shadow, there was no Kojima or Fromsoft. Sony's seems to have really dropped the ball, and with MS coming out with a new powerhouse console and games coming this year. Sony really fucked up. Sonybros btfo.

Just trying to draw in as much potential buyers as possible. Bring in the film-goer audience by presenting games identically to movies. Advertising with gameplay might alienate them.

So now that paid mods are returning and this time will probably stay around forever and become a secondary cash machine for developers, whats the next step after that?
How about mod season passes?
$10.99 per month for premium mod membership where the dev company hires 10 pro level modders that churn out fan requests and shovelware?
Cross-game mods such as "Minecraft in fallout 5!" where Mojang gets a cut of each mod sold, bethesda gets a cut and modder gets a cut.
Hell even Mojang themselves could introduce the mod themselves.
