The introductory section is how the entire game should have been.

Every part of the game after that is just a Resident Evil 4/5/Alan Wake clone but worse.

It is not a good game at all, but it is worth playing if you're into survival horror.

The pacing is bad, neither the controls nor the camera jive well with its emphasis on stealth, few of the enemies or the environments are particularly memorable or interesting, and it just isn't scary. That said, it does actually require effective resource management, some of the weapons are very satisfying to use, and the Executioner DLC is pretty nifty.

If you can find it for $5, go for it.

If you aren't going to play the game the right way don't even bother with it. There's absolutely nothing good about revolations unless you're playing it with your friend. The levels are super short, the monsters are shitty, and nothing is even a little serious or spooky.

I only have one friend that would be willing to play Resident Evil, and there's no way he's shelling out for REV2. I'm doing this solo. It's not all bad, though. I enjoy seeing Uroboros again, the characters are fun (Claire's campaign is way, way more interesting though. Barry randomly swapping from Lich King to Uther keeps throwing me off), and the shooting is alright. It looks good, too.

I just keep running out of supplies because the aforementioned AI partners are absolutely braindead and all enemies nearly one-hit.

I'm so excited to see lawyers make millions of dollars while the plaintiffs get a $30 rebate if they're lucky.

I dropped Witcher 3 four times before going through a complete play through.
It seems boring as absolute fuck the first time, but I have it on PC so I downloaded some mods that have made it slightly better (shaders, fast travel anywhere, etc.) And it makes the travelling much better.
Gameplay is really shallow, the writing is the only thing that really kept me playing.
I think it's a game that you finish or you don't, all depending if you'll slog through mediocre gameplay for writing and characters.

If you don't enjoy it then don't force yourself to finish it.
