hey /v/, here's the deal. i REALLY want a new fightan to play, cause SFV was a mistake to buy and im taking a break from MvC3 right now, i really want to get another fighting game for my PC, but i dont know what to get. Ive never really tried the so called "anime" fighters, ive just owned persona 4 arena and one BB game. I was thinking of getting into guilty gear, but i dont have a ton of money and there's a fuckton of versions on steam. which game in the series would be the best to buy for both single and multiplayer, and which has the biggest online community? or should i just go TEKKEN 7? what do people on here suggest for a game to play for the next bit?

If you want the father of all anime fighters, GGXrd Rev2 is what you should buy. If you want to play something more in line with today's anime fighters, buy BB Central Fiction or Uniel Exe Late (Not sure if Uniel is available in the West yet.) As for Tekken 7, it's a great game, but not as a "pick up and play" game. You can mash your way at low levels, but Tekken is honestly one of the biggest (and most rewarding) time sinks for fighting games. If you plan on returning to SFV or MvC3 anytime soon, I wouldn't recommend T7, as that game expects you to learn a LOT of things just to begin playing it.

I played it on Linux with WINE last year and it worked perfectly with minimal effort. Now I'm on a Win7 machine, I've tried various fixes and I'm getting nowhere. Has anyone else had this problem?

i got it working after patching it and getting a crack exe that was the right version.
also, I remember you have to create a .bat file to set core affinity.

The PS4 uses parts of the PCSX2 emulator if not all (both PC and the PS4 are x86-64), I am extremely sure. The PS2 version of Star Wars Bounty Hunter is available on PS4, and it has the same progressive scan issue on PS4 as it does on PCSX2.
Other than that, it's fine. If you don't have a garbage PC with a shit tier CPU (anything lower than i5 or AMD garbage means trash IPC/single core performance) then it's fine. Like 95% of the games are playable, even though a good amount are pretty intensive.

How would I go about making a PS3 controller work on PC? Always liked the feeling of a PS3 controller, and I'm in the mood to play some PS2 classics, and any other steam games I have that are controller compatible. Is there some adapter I need or anything?
