Maker Studios bought blip several years ago with the idea to have a content creator focused site separate from youtube. Their creators could create their own website and upload videos using blip instead of youtube, but that didn't work in the end.

I don't get the appeal of idubbz.

Most Youtubers, I can see what draws people to them even if I don't like them. Ethan and Hila have that fun neighbor-couple vibe. Filthy Frank dials his outrageousness up to 11 to entertain. Reviewers provide some insight or at least a common platform with the viewer for jokes.

I just don't get idubbz. Every video of his I've watched, he doesn't seem to make any jokes. He just sort of talks blankly into the camera making the most basic observations, maybe with some bare minimum sarcasm. Then he says nigger or faggot every once in awhile.
