For all the silly bits, for all the vinvocci and shitty CGI turning master-races, it was overall good.

One of the best Tennant's performances.
Wilf is amazing in this.
Drama is fantastic.
Overall it just feels really touching and epic. It's pretty clear that RTD didnt want to make VNA level dark episode. He wanted to make something, that would every single family in the UK would enjoy on Christmas.
I totally understand why people cant stand it.
But experiencing it in the time, when Doctor Who was national miracle of the UK, when every single living person cared about Tennant's Doctor, it was pretty amazing.
