TIL On July 23, 1982, a Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter crashed at Indian Dunes in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California, during the making of Twilight Zone: The Movie. The crash killed three people on the ground—actor Vic Morrow and two child actors, Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen—as well as injuring the six helicopter passengers. The incident led to years of civil and criminal action and was directly responsible for the introduction of new procedures and safety standards within the filmmaking industry.

>ITT: Movies you like that the rest of the human race despises.
The cat in the hat movie is fucking funny consistently and it has some of the best set up and pay off jokes I've ever seen in a comedy which is fucking mind boggling considering its Mike Myers in half a tonne of latex makeup wandering around oddly colored sets.
I had no idea people hated this movie so much until like the start of last year when I bothered to look it up online.
Welcome to the party, fellow catposter.

cuz she was an austin powers girl
infinitely better than bond flicks
Because she kept taking her shirt off when she wasn't supposed to. They'd just start rolling and two seconds later, she'd be naked. Bitch couldn't keep her shirt on.
More like why didn't she do porn?

Are we supposed to sympathize with Salieri? Because I felt nothing since he just grew into a bitter old man who never got over his envy for Mozart.
>>79310931
I do. It's tragic to love a man's work, yet hate the man. Especially if he essentially stole your current fame AND erased your legacy.
He may be bitter, but he's extraordinarily sympathetic. He worked hard, mastered his craft. He earned prestige and became vain. He then learns at the height of his success that the craft he's so lovingly honed over decades, the craft that he's based a significant portion of his identity and understanding of the world in, is being totally dominated by a younger, absurd, irreverent man. He discovers that he despises Mozart the man, but adores Mozart's music. Torn by these emotions, he finally succumbs to his envy and destroys Mozart the man with his own music, after destroying his career.
What would it be like to hate someone so passionately, but also love what they create?
It's a nice puzzle to work over, and it's the core of a fascinating, sympathetic character.
I feel for him in the movie, but in real life they didn't have nearly as much animosity and Sallieri was still well regarded when he died.

this is true.
