Why didn't they just run sideways? Later on, it was shown that simply rolling sideways was sufficient to escape the ship. So why not just run sideways?
How was it, when storyboarding this scene, nobody ever asked Ridley Scott this question?
>expecting humans to make rational choices while panicking
>inb4 someone seeing a giant wheel run toward them wouldn't panic
Because unlike in the case of the morons such as yourself or the person who made this comic, Ridley Scott understands that being in the position of someone running away from a falling city block is far different than looking at it happen from a bird's eye view. You have no perspective on the direction of its movement, you have no idea if it will actually continue to roll or flop one way or the other. The most natural human reaction is to run directly away from it. Everyone who dislikes this movie is somewhere close to retarded I've noticed.

Remastered version of the Wire actually looks good, as if it was originally shot this way?
>>79824660
I like the remastered version as well. I think people prefer the 4:3 ratio because Simon wanted it to look like a documentary or something like that.
>>79824726
Yeah but, judging by the compositions it looks like it was shot this way originally? It doesn't look like it was butchered by cutting its vertical length like in some other remasters.
Aspect Ratio 16:9 HD (restored hd version)
4:3
Camera Panaflex Millennium XL (as Panaflex® Camera and Lenses by Panavision®)
Panavision Cameras and Lenses

Negative Format 35 mm

35 mm (Kodak Vision 500T 5279)
Cinematographic Process Super 35 (3-perf)
I guess it depends if the camera org. shot it in 16:9
it really looks like that to me
>>79824835
Most are extended portions of the negative, but some scenes were cropped to the point of losing image compared to the 4:3 ratio in some misguided attempt to preserve the composition.

Why do people pretend to like this mediocre movie?
>>79824617
Because it's pretty good
>>79824636
Yeah this. I thought it was going to be super bland except for the visuals but it was pretty fun.
>>79824617
Why does anyone pretend to like garbage that caters to women? To get laid.
He didnt cheat on Marge right?
I like to think he didn't.
If older people can't hold marriages together, how can we?
>>79824476
They reference it in a later episode.
He did.
>>79824476
How did Marge get to Captial City so quickly and why did her cold suddenly disappear?
Also the Turkey thing was really out of character for her.
Get over it. Homer banged her, regretted it and completely ghosted Mindy after.
Is it too early to say this might actually be the best show of all time?
The Wire and The Sopranos are pretty much perfect for writing/acting, but the visual quality doesn't come close to The Young Pope. Twin Peaks reaches the same level of quality, but they fuck it up in the second season. But then again that might happen to The Young Pope too, since apparently they're continuing it.
As a limited series though, which I think was the original intention, it's a huge step forward for the whole medium of television. It really is like a ten-hour film by a great director. There's not a single image that looks cheap or compromised.
Seriously, what's better than this? I haven't seen "The Decalogue" yet and I've liked the movies I've seen from Kieslowski, so maybe I should look at that
No, it's never too early for the truth
Nope.
I don't think anything can compare. The last time I've had such strong positive reaction to a tv show was Twin Peaks and that was fucking ages ago.
I'm also terrified of the 2nd season. It would be really hard to make the show better and they can easily fuck up the equilibrium.
I really wanted to start watching this show, but then again it's popular and normies like it therefore it's an automatic no for me

Rebels thread.
Will season 3 be the last? I love it but wouldn't mind as Pre-A New Hope is getting boring boring for me and was never an area I was hugely interested in.

Isn't Mads Mikkelsen doing his voice?

It's his brother, Lars

this show is a weird mix of kiddy cartoon plots and legit star wars. I like it more than clone wars with the less weird animation.
Tough one to decide. Tony has a more aggressive, thuggish personality, but even he would draw the line at poisoning a child. He also feels remorse for his actions, whereas Walt doesn't seem to show signs of such a thing. Even when his family turn on him he still pulls the "but I did it all for you!" bullshit.
Walt is white person evil, cold and calculating. Tony is shitskin evil, aggressive and violent.
>>79823830
Are you fucking serious? Walt is pure evil. Tony just had shit parents and his friends are all garbage.
>>79823863
>Italians
>Not white
>>79823905
Tony did some pretty evil things too though. Killing Christopher, for one. Also the way he killed the dude who shot Christopher was cold as fuck. I know he deserved it, but the way he chose to psychologically torture him first was pretty unnerving.
HOLY FUCK
THIS MOVIE LOOKS AWESOME

Really, how does it looks atrocious? The Score, the photography, etc looks amazing.
Stop spouting words without meaning and debate me.
This is a real movie made by a real studio in the year 2017 and it's probably going to make a lot of money
Let's reflect on the sentence above for a minute

Not sure if anybody cares, but there's currently a shitstorm going on with Star Wars merchandise that also confirmed that the leaked script was real.
Subsidiaries were asked to create toys based on a scene from The Last Jedi in which Kylo Ren trains with robots recreating Luke vs Vader fight from Return, but the scene gets either reshoots or will be edited out.
A similar scene appeared in the leaked script.
We're fucked.
>>79823469
Which leaked script ? There were so many here on /tv/
Care to share a sauce, OP ?
While I'd like if the new movies didn't relentlessly feature callbacks to the OT, I don't really see this as a problem.
Kylo Ren has already been established as a wannabe fan boy who's desperately trying to overcome the fact that he's a mediocre force user so he can live up to his grandfather's legacy.
It depends how strongly they "recreate" it. I mean, you could say elements of the duel at the end of RotJ were recreating the one from ESB, but in a way that was actually done well.
>>79823469
How do you know this?
