Both sides are right you know. Norm either always was or has become inherently nihilistic as he has consumed russian literature. He's a smart guy who convincingly plays the fool due to his knack for timing and his leaning into a joke no matter how low brow. The hosts identify that he lacks specific objectives and goals which he reveals when talking about his son. As a yungman men tend to do things in order to ultimately have sex. Now that he is older has had sex, a child, and a successful career he is sort of killing time. It's been noted since he wont play the game of hollywood to be in big productions where he has no control. He isn't anti social as he does interviews, but he's socially reluctant as he often would rather do things he finds more rewarding than activities focused on basic human interaction.

Is he selfish for wanting to live a plant like existence? Is it selfish to want to do things you find inherently rewarding? Does he owe anyone a continued fountain of entertainment? The only thing that keeps him working (and from gambling everything away it seems) is that he genuinely wants to provide for his son.
I bought his audio book off audible and like others think he made interesting decisions. After I finish it I hope I have some more consideration or insight on the guy.
norm is /our guy/
Aww

>always was or has become inherently nihilistic as he has consumed russian literature
Wrong. Norm's views on nihilism and religion pretty much echo Dostoevsky's views in that both believe that nihilism is destructive and both want to believe in God. But they just "want" to believe, they don't actually believe and that's the problem. He needs to find his own faith that he actually believes in if he wants to move on. Doesn't matter what it is, anything that saves him from nihilism is good enough.
What went wrong?
>>85205118
wasnt it that part 1 and part 2 were based on a book and part 3 was just fan fiction?

John carpenter is going to die soon just like Romero without making a final masterpiece to hold us over.
Fuck him

gilian anderson is hotter now then she was in the xfiles, tho.
So apparently the WW sequel will take place in the 80's and will reveal that Wonder Woman is an ancestor to the Wayne family.
So does this mean that Batman is trying to fuck his great, great, great grandma or something?

sounds retarded and literally renders all of baman's accomplishmemts meaningless. He's supposed to be nothing more than a man with the willpower, intellect and resources to get shit done. He's an avatar for humanity. making him related to a god would be GAY

Wasn't she on the island until the war? How does that even work then?

it wasn't THAT great tbqh
I overlooked Yi Yi for a long time. I thought it was a slow and boring movie for pseuds but it's actually a very honest and heartwarming film, I think it's a 10/10 on my list. Other movie that I thought I wouldn't like so I didn't watch it for a long time is A Separation and I liked it a lot actually, both movies gave me that emptiness feeling when they ended.

i honestly don't even know
I don't even think Carpenter thought it'd be as good as it was.
it just werks

Prime Carpenter was a genius film maker.
it has very simple but working atmosphere. You get to see the comfy suburbs preparing for party time, but after dusk nobody walks the streets nor opens door for you when killer is right behind you.
Can you help me find a 2008-2011 3d animated kids movie?
I remember it was on the news for being "worst box office failure in history" and the news also said it was "worst animated movie ever"
All I can remember it was made by some unknown studio and characters were pretty much flying geometrical blobs like squares and balls and one of the characters looked something like pic related, a crappy 3d model of flying manta ray.
The film also seemed to be aimed at very young kids
>>85203983
Delgo
Delgo
>>85204007
thanks, but this wasn't it. The animation looked like 1000 times cheaper than delgo. If I remember correctly it was just simple blobs that take 5 minutes to model, floating over coloured backgrounds
I never see this show discussed here.
thoughts? do I like it /tv/?
Dont like it at all myself. I like Simpsons, Family Guy, American dad etc but I cant stand this fucking show for some reason.
It's low-key funny, but not ha-ha funny. And the two loud-mouthed children can be annoying sometimes which spoils the cozy. It's the short of show /tv/ isn't passionate about one way or the other.
Not bad... notjing excellent either
Archer is better
Better than current Family Guy and maybe even current Simpsons
what's the appeal of this

It's a top notch production that alt-right closet dwellers are too insecure to enjoy.
A real gem of a film. Great sets, costumes, acting and, of course, the wit.
