So I bought a CW devastator from some guy. Except he covered it with aftermarket stickers. Most are harmless construction stickers, but there are some unnnecessary decepticon logo's and a big DEVASTATOR sticker on the back of Hook's vehicle mode. How do I get rid of them?

Tl;dr how do I remove aftermarket stickers from CW Devastator

I think this person ordered the Classics Devastator that was a repaint of the Energon one, thinking that it was the combiner wars one. Respectfuly disagree with your opinion there mate, TR SW has a few issues (oversize helmet, chest door paint aps) he might be too big for most CHUG collections, but he has better proportions than the cybertron mold, I'd have him on my collection if i wasn't a scale fag, I still have FoC SW as my CHUG Soundwave.

I wish MP Soundwave could play MP3s. Music Label Soundwave is great but yeah he really looks more like a piece of hi-fi rather than a transformer and the bot mode definitely aged

MP Soundwave would have so much empty space that would have been perfect for electronic guts if they dropped the "can store up to three cassettebots" gimmick that just legitimately doesn't work. You could even have speakers in his empty-as-fuck legs. I suppose it wouldn't be that wise to have a gimmick literally no one would every use anyway, though.

How? I know it's a loose ass hinge connection, but if you put the drone piece back on and rotate it with very slight upward pulling, you should be able to wedge it out.

Unless you used some kind of tool and fucked it up, in which case you should just yolo it and scrape the visible part off.

The vehicle mode is the exact same shape and size as the cab from LG Ginrai, so the stock chest cage on Ginrai should work fine. I don't know if the PMOP chest cage will fit, though, since the cabs are slightly different.

Also, they advertise that you need to use PC-15's replacement head for PC-16, but apparently the stock head from PMOP/Ginrai will just barely fit if you turn it backwards or something (I forget exactly, but point is it fits)

High Score is a very tiny game controller, but his plastic is excellent and his transformation is pretty tight. Giant gorilla arms but good articulation otherwise.

Meantime is a watch and tallest of the ones I have, great transformation with noodly limbs that bend just right for good poses. Light piping and a good headshape. Highly recommended from myself and everyone else I've seen talk about him.

Zoomout is a video camera, small but not as small as High Score. Simple transformation, good fiddle factor. Video screen turns into beetle wings, cool feature. Arms are a little stubby but the rotation of his shoulders lets you do a lot more than you'd think.

Spy Shot's a little finicky getting back into camera mode and his wrist joints are a little tough sometimes but he's a good-looking figure and his photo camera form is good, even has a clicking button. Good light piping. Legs have good articulation but the arms are a little awkward. Has claws that open and close too.

I love all of the ones I have and if I had the space and money for them I'd probably indulge in the rest too, but these were the ones that came recommended to me.

Hasbro doesn't like to touch Beast Wars designs too much after Bob Skir ruined Beast Machines.

>Bob Skir says that other writers came up with the Vehicon Generals and "all the mystical stuff came from Marty [Isenberg] and I, based on Hasbro's request that we add a "spiritual dimension" to the show". (The phrase "I am transformed" comes from Hasbro too) The overall arc of the series also came from Skir and Isenberg "based on many conversations with Hasbro, Mainframe, Fox, and us".[8] Hasbro was quite keen on the spiritual tone out of a desire to try something new with the franchise, while Skir felt Nature versus Tech was an obvious theme but he felt that was a lazy cliche and the show should be about a balance between the two. (The technorganic characters helped him argue this)[9] He merrily went all-out with the spiritual aspect, expecting Hasbro to change their mind but he found they liked it and asked for more![10] It was Hasbro itself who said "hey, what if someone turned into a plant?" as part of their drive to stretch the franchise to its limits. [11]

>Our heroes use their wiles and resourcefulness, plus a few cool weapons. Guns? I've never been a fan of them myself, and do not write heroes who need them."

Well, shit. I took off the panel again and this time, I examined it under high intensity light. Sure enough, the stress marks are there even though they're really hard to see.

After some painful deliberation, I've decided to just not put them back on at all. I don't want to deal with having to worry about when they'll break, especially because the rest of him are so solid, it'd be such a shame to force myself to tiptoe around him because of the shoulders.

Alt-mode kinda suffers, but if I squint enough I barely notice it...

It really annoys me that they're taking the S1 organic designs and remaking them as mech animals, rather than using ANY of the already mech animal transmetal design.

I'd rather POTP Primal be transmetal Primal but I fully expect it to just be an all mech rendition of S1 Primal

My personal review of all the molds, from the experience of having owned at least one version of each at some point and still having a couple around:

>Binoculars (Longview / Farsight)
Cool robot design and the binoculars themselves are neat but there's something about how plain they look that never really clicked for me. Still, I would say Longview is worth it for how rare it is to have a yellow movie figure that isn't Bumblebee.

>Cellphones (Highline / Speed Dial / Wire Tap)
Great mold all around, the cellphones look like realistic mid-2000s flip phones and the drone-eyed robots are incredibly adorable. The transformation is a little rudimentar but that's hardly a detractor. Highline probably has the best deco, but the other two still look great.

>Compact camera (Spy Shot / Photon)
Literally one of the greatest "Basic-sized" figures ever made. The camera looks great, the unsymmetrical transformation is absurdly genius and god, that bizarre but nonetheless beautiful retro-ish robot design, it's just glorious. Spy Shot looks the best as a robot but Photon feels slightly more realistic as a camera, even though they both could easily pass off as actual compact point-and-shoots at first glance.

>Watch (Meantime / Midnighter)
Interesting transformation and lots of poseability, but the overall design of both modes feels a little bland for me. imho, they could both be passed, although I do know they have a "micro appreciation fanbase" of sorts which would argue otherwise.

>MP3 player (Night Beat / Booster)
The MP3 player is easily the most lazy design in the entire subline but the Lazerbeak-based robots are pretty much perfect. Night Beat is negligible but Booster is totally worth getting, he even has a decent amount of articulation in his feet and wings.

>>6504572
>Gameboy (Hacker / Power Up)
As far as I love the concept of Gameboy-based bots they are both unfortunately rather bland, neither modes look particularly remarkable and the transformation really isn't all that interesting. If something, Power Up has a neat deco, but there really isn't much to them otherwise.

>Video Camera (Zoom Out)
Yet another badass kino mold that just shows why this subline was so goddamn good. The camera looks great, with all sorts of sculpted details from buttons to a neat fold-out screen, and the robot is basically the closest there is to a proper CHUG Reflector. There's just something so charming to his stubby design and his color palette, I would definitely recommend him in a heartbeat.

>Vidya controller (High Score / Twitcher)
Easily the most interesting and unique robot design in the subline, gotta love how he looks like an angry little dude. The controller feels a little too small for something Xbox-based but still, he also looks great in that mold nonetheless. Twitcher my favorite deco but most people seem to prever the classier look of High Score.

If you only have to choose one then Spy Shot would definitely be my pick but, if you're willing to go further that, then Zoom Out, Longview, Highline, Booster and Twitcher are probably the figures in the series. The others are also good enough in their own merit, even the most mediocre molds like the Gameboy and the watch have some charisma to them, but those six are the ones I would personally pick. Hope this helps, anon!

So it turns out that in Takara's fiction, Trypticon has a similar power to his TR toy. Anything he eats grants him more power, but having humans, transformers, and beasts from the legends universe inside him grant him a truckload of power.

He basically has the similar powers to the Godmaster, the powers Ginrai gains in his chapter (mostly the beast, and human energy), on steroids do to all the people he had inside him.

So Trypticon has probably been elevated into the strongest transformer in their fiction. Hell, even exploiting a weakness and Metroplex using his chest beam, he still survived relatively unscathed, a testament to his strength.

no it's a fantasy sequence Starscream is showing Blast Off to manipulate the constructicons to do what he wants
>>
>>6504855
>tfw this has to be explained over and over again
That page is forever posted out of context.

Starscream is using Airachnid to mess with Blast Off's dream to produce a saccharine, sappy make-believe perfect life for him where Onslaught cares about anything other than crushing his enemies. He does this to buy Blast Off's cooperation as he modifies the other constructicons into believing they work for him (starscream). By offering to make Onslaught-senpai notice him, he wants to use Blast Off to convince the others that everything's fine and dandy and normal because as a combiner they're resistant to mind manipulation unless there's an inside force pushing that agenda.

In the real world, Onslaught is not having wet sloppy makeouts and sappy love recitations with Blast Off. He pretty much has literally done what Starscream promised, which is to notice Blast Off. And that's it. And it's all obviously a setup for future drama to come crashing down on Screamer's head.

Zoomout is by far my favorite as he almost passes for a real camera (from the front-- great fake lens, fake viewfinder) in alt mode, and his hands are little articulated claws for grabbing non-toy objects, which I feel is optimal for posing/photographing these 'Real Gear' dudes. Great piping for his red eyes, too. Only gripe I have is his arms are a bit weird both for posing and for the transformation, but still highly recommended cuz they're definitely not bad

How different is the deco between the Takara re-issue Metroplex and the SDCC one? I only have the regularly Generations metroplex and the SDCC Metroplex was the only thrilling 30 figure I never got.
>>
Would we ever get those armor kits for Overlord or Devastator for example from Transformers ZONE? Hopefully wish that Takara does these if we have a reissue that's not going to be fucking cancelled
>>
>>6505624
Only if someone at a Third party company REALLY wanted them made. Oh, and remember that the Zone generals have two sets of armor, so pray the one you like gets made.

And oh boy, pray even harder that the hypothetical armor for Trypticons doesn't break the bank, his could easily break 100 or even 150 on his own since among the things they have to add for the kit to work, is new arms with better articulation so they can hold the club better.

Also:

>Takara making the armor sets

>>6505623
The Takara's whiter, doesn't have the build imperfections you'll very likely need to correct on the SDCC, more paint applications (like the red on the shoulders), no chrome, and certain areas being cast in white plastic instead of black (like the ramp on the right boob).
>>
>>6505635
Oh forgot, the most notable change are the runways, they're white on the Takara. I remember people buying both so they could give the black ramps to the Takara version and sell the other Metroplex.

>I surprisingly like the swords
>those thighs, I dig them

>transformation is insultingly simple
>no attempts to hide the chest in alt mode at all

It has its problems but I like. And honestly I wish they retooled this mold for Nautica instead of Blurr.

I didn't think I'd like this, but I do. Being able to flip her between modes in like 20 seconds is surprisingly fun to me. I wasn't sure if replacing the Generations Windblade with the new one was a good idea, but the face alone made it worthwhile.

All they share is the waist estension engineering and /maybe/ the thigh pieces. I wouldn't really call that a retool.

And honestly yeah, I would've been ok with a Scourge retool too. That probably would have been better even.

Really highbrow and scourge are just hollow shells with the waist extension piece between them and the same thighs.

If you want to be nice then sure, they just share engineering, but they share the same common set of parts, allowing visually different toys with a mostly new transformation between the 3, if anything windblade is closer to highbrow because she also has aircraft backpack syndrome.

In all honesty the only guys that could ever give an idw accurate nautica would be 3p unless takara mp's suddenly go in that direction but by that time I think most of us would be dead

IDW has been running from the Marvel origin of the Transformers since day one as far as denying Primus/Unicron created the Transformers.

Part of this was due to Simon Furman; a condition of him going to work for IDW was an iron-clad embargo on Unicron as Furman REALLY got pissy when fans shitted on an arc he did on the Dreamwave Armada comic, which had all sorts of Unicron wank in it from Furman.

Even now that Furman is long gone from the Transformers, they STILL won't let anyone touch Unicron. They might as well go full tilt and have the Quints show up as the makers of the Transformers, while they are at it
