Those two things seem pretty minor in comparison to everything else. Like actulaly being silver, looking like a shattered mish-mash of panels in alt mode, and not taking 30+ minutes to transform into said alt. mode while scratching its paint off in the process. Also the ~$100 price difference.

Besides, the other 3P Megatrons have pretty good face sculpts, especially for 3P. The odd man out is Despotron, whose face isn't really bad, it's just not GEEWUN, which honestly matches the aesthetic of MP-10 better anyway.

I'm one of those people that would buy g1 Megs in any form. MP36 has it's issues definitely but all the paint rub stuff can be remedied by sanding down the back piece that goes over the head and the connection area for those two rounded parts that make up his armpits and just try your hardest to not make his legs clash together.

I actually love his transformation since I loosened up his legs.

I wouldn't really recommend him just for the price tag alone and all the issues unless the person loves the character.

He can be great but it's a whole lot of work that Takara should've done in the first place.

Really? I think the balance is definitely the other way. His limbs are black like the toy instead of gray like the show, he has a lot more inaccurate kibble than most MPs, he has the toy's clear wings, and his entire paint job is based on the toy instead of the cartoon, plus all of his metal parts are painted silver instead of flat gray or bluish-gray like the cartoon. His windows are also smoked gray like the toy instead of the cartoon. The only thing I think he takes from the toon are his face sculpt (mostly) and his shoulder cannon.

I remember cartoon geewunners being quite pissed over all this stuff. It's DEFINITELY more toy than toon, anon. I mean, unless you think that emulating the toy would mean it would have to have the same terrible proportions and design. In which case, none of the MPs are very much like the toys, at all. I do agree that Wheeljack is one of the best MPs, though. Definitely in my top 5.

Hascons gonna have the old movie Prime on display, I wish the Western Star would be there, I'd love to see both of them together.

There's a rumor going around about a Platinum Edition Metroplex and that it might just be the same deco used on the SDCC metroplex. Now there is some past precedent for this(Platinum Edition foc Bruticus being the same deco as the SDCC one) and takara is re-issuing metroplex as well.

But yeah I have the urge to pick up a second metroplex since my first metroplex was the regular Thrilling 30 one. And I have SDCC Fort Max and TR Fort Max which I picked up real cheap as well as Trypticon now. So I feel that I need a second plex to go along with everything else.

I wish the QC was a bit better on Computron, the combiner ports are all over the place (some barely hold in their slots and others are really stiff) and he doesn't balance very well at all. I suspect I should probably tighten up the balljoints on the PE feet.

I have both, the First edition doesn't cheat with her transforming chest and her blue is more accurate to the show, but she has no paint on her whole arms, all black from fingers to shoulder, the minline on the other hand is smaller and her fake chest make her look way more femenine than the FE (that looks like skinny dude from some angles), the mainline also has blue forearms and beter wrist articulation.

I'd say go for the mainline if you want a cute easy to transform robotgurl, FE if you are into tall ladyboys.

So I got Funpub Ramjet and Skywarp where they were on deep clearance over the weekend and I'm very mix on how I feel about them. I have Ramjet, and man, why does Funpub have to do this with the flat head sculpts? It's supposed to be a huge fin that swoops back, not a dinky lookin para-scope thing. It also looks worse in vehicle mode becuase of this. If the original toy didn't lack leg articulation, I would say it was a better figure.

Well, that's accurate. Even if you want toon accuracy you run into an issue because Scorponok is supposed to have a regular sized Headmaster for his head, while Fort Max has a Headmaster with a Headmaster for a head. Scale issues were inevitable since they decided Scorponok shouldn't share that gimmick.

I'm most friendly with Beast Wars and the Armada trilogy, and I've been trying to recollect the old toys I remember having from back then.

Recently found one of my all time favorites, the TF Universe line Reptilion.

Can any of you guys recc me some more really cool and detailed Beast Modeformers?

I went to target earlier today and the toys they have now seem way too simple, with very blocky designs and small color palettes. And what is a "Titans Returns"? I prefer the more complicated designs.

Yeah you would probably have to headmaster it somehow for transformation, but I think it would look pretty good.

Huh, so targetmasters are lil' robot ot man becoming a gun for the bigger bloke, effectively becoming a gunner to aid in combat.
...So, is G1 Megs in his alt mode considered a targetmaster?

Also I had a worst nightmare featuring Hasbro releasing toys of Shattered Glass version of DJD members. GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME.

I fucking hated Metroplex.
He's garbage compared to Fort at least for me. Fort is nicer looking, more poseable and a better head. Metroplex is just so boring and unfinished feeling to me.

Unless it's the Japanese version, don't bother. The Hasbro version usually has loose joints and I believe the plastic quality isn't quite as good as TakaraTomy's release.
