I keep about 3-5 TFs per shelf. The rest are in their vehicle modes stored in a box awaiting their display time if I ever felt like it.

I also keep a few figures on my bookshelves because of the extra space and to remind me to dust them every once in a fortnight.

What are the odds either Hasbro or Takara will fix the molds so that this problem is corrected? I recall the mold had been broken at the factory and the workers just quickly patched it up without checking to make sure the finished product came out ok.

Most Deluxes and Legends from Titans Return are pretty good buys. Just avoid all of the cassette tapes except for the humanoid ones (Rewind, Red Guy aka Frenzy aka Rumble aka Whatever The Fuck You Wanna Call Him), because the tapes are pretty meh besides the humanoid ones, which are great.

Im that beast machines rattrap newfag that was excited to get into transformers and wanted Titans Return.
My first order arrived yesterday and its Sergeant Kup.
I fucking loved him on pictured because i always wanted to have classick blocky chunky human-like transformer (all i had were some weird abstract G1 ones and beast wars/machines).

What i like:
- the figure looks very complicated compared to what i have. I like his frontal glass being on his chest with those front lights. Makes his torso look like its made of many parts.
- His legs are FUCKING AWESOME. what a good engeniering. His legs contain both wheels and close to form a leg without any gaps which is cool

What i dont like:
- he is so damn loose and wobbly. Everything just wiggles around and it feels like an action figure with very loose joints

They briefly dabbled with the idea of it being a Lio Convoy redeco instead, but neither idea wound up going anywhere.

Eventually Botcon (under Funpub) WOULD do the whole "Alpha Trion as a lion" thing by redecoing the below average Thundertron mold as him, then go "lol nah it's just Cheetor" in their own fiction.

The Human Alliance line was great. Currently fiddling around with the complete collection of them. Jazz, Barricade and Bumblebee are especially amazing. Wish we got a good Ratchet in a similar scale.

I said "almost every", not "all". But let's be fair, Hasui was responsible for Magnus to start and Kobayashi finished it. For all we know, the "bad" parts of Magnus are all Kobayashi's fault and the "good" parts are Hasui's doing. Though to be fair, that's just conjecture, but you get my point.

He fucked up Starscream twice, if he really did do Tracks, well, that's a horribly problematic figure, Rodimus Prime is a mess of QC and design issues (and despite all that AND mine breaking, I still like it, but it's a mess nonetheless), Grimlock has the stupid tail gimmick that wasn't necessary at all, and if he worked on Ironhide... Hip skirts. And I'm someone who doesn't mind those, but still.

MP05 is a mess only because of design time, that's something I would expect from hasbro, not takara, and you have to give credit to the first starscream mold trying to hide more of the jet kibble and having the eventual robot kibble turn into sword scabards.

Tracks isn't even a mess. Almost every issue people have can be solved by fucking transforming him properly, making sure the grill panels are flipped and the side mirrors are installed all the way, and that the backpack is actually secured in the holes it's supposed to tab into.

And MP-05, for all his problems, is a DECENT figure. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone but I like him. But remember that Hisashi Yuki designed him in only 12 DAYS.

It's a terrible mould. Head falls down, backpack and shoulders come untabbed, articulation sucks (elbows and knees), knees are loose (requires fixing, typically with sheet styrene), most of the robot torso is completely hollow... I could go on, but the point is that it's a mess.

I don't want to dissuade you from it, but I'm not sure how you can say it's in your top three Autobot cars (assuming you're talking about the official MPs) unless you only HAVE three.

And I don't think having his arms be monotone is really worth putting up with the rest of his paint scheme which is entirely inferior because they chose to copy one of the worst animated/colored episodes of the whole show.

Normally I find grey prototypes revolting but that's the mp03 and it looks sexy.

I won't be getting any more seekers once a hasbro mp skywarp comes, but I hope for future revissions they allow for a faceplate change, they should keep the jets the same size at least (1/60 scale jets are cool yo) but plenty of other things need to change

People do. I don't like it myself, but it's more because they went out of their way to show us they were all one colour and then ended up breaking it up when they released it.

But I do agree that, generally speaking, the arms don't really make it an ultimately better version. Even then, I'm still not convinced they'll colour-match the arms on this one either.

Now that's just a damned lie. If you move the shoulders, the chest untabs from them. If you try to move the wings (especially to get them out of the way of the awful shoulders), you'll knock the backpack off, even if you've attached it PERFECTLY (which is fiddly as hell to do right to begin with).

The knees are extremely loose and if you fix them, you'll see that they're very much inexcusable as they come.

The head is held up by friction, but it doesn't tab into anything and the moment you try to move it, it falls back into the gaping void in his torso.

The articulation is really disappointing in certain areas (his elbows can't even go 90°) and he's just overall a marked step down from every other Masterpiece Autobot car we've got, even just judging it objectively.

At the very least, all the others stay tabbed together.

Maybe I was exaggerating a bit to say "almost all" of the Masterpieces that Kobayashi designed are a mess, but between even being near that Starscream, Tracks, Rodimus' numerous issues (clear plastic on the thin cockpit hinge is a big mistake, as I recently learnt), Grimlock's gimmick is unnecessary and hinders his articulation, and while Ironhide's hip skirts don't bother me, there's no real need for them (I mean, just look at the Shadow Fisher upgrades that fixed the design effortlessly).
