I actually quite like a lot of the pin system toys, in particular Drive's. It was pretty simplistic but I thought the way the brace worked in tandem with the driver was very well executed. Hopefully if Build does have a pin system, hopefully it will be something unique like that, and not just another "put the gimmick object in the slot and pull a level" like Fourze and Ghost.

I think as far as biggest names in toku/mecha singers go, the only ones who haven't been gear voices yet are Masaaki Endoh, Ichiro Mizuki, Hiroshi Kitadani, and Yoshiki Fukuyama.

Voice actors is a different story though and there's a huge list to choose from. I'd love to hear Hideo Ishikawa (Ryoma Nagare since Getter Robo Armageddon) voice something.

It came out early last year as a web exclusive. A figure of Hakaider followed. It certainly wasn't cheap. It's got a nice design that comes from a recent pachinko game, though it skirts away from the slight eeriness of Takeya's designs in favor of a more typical detailed updated design.

I like the look of the Takeya sculpt more, but I went with this one because I heard early SIC figures are more fragile. Though if anyone has good things to say about the SIC Vol. 11 Kikaider I might look into getting it anyway because I love the sculpt and it's different enough from the newer one to be worth getting.

I managed to get all of those fairly easily before they got impossible to find. Proto DRMFBeat is upwards of 20k now, so I'm REAL glad I got it beforehand.

You don't remember the days of Watermelon DX being $50? Pineapple DX $40-50? Strawberry DX hitting $50? Grape DX being something like $70 because of the faceplate? The base belt being something like $80-100 at one point? Looking at Mandarake right now the only really bad Gashats seem to be Tokimeki Crisis DX, Dragoknight Hunter Z DX, Shakiriki Sports DX, and Gekitotsu Robots DX and they're all floating around $35-60 each. Hell, even the exclusive stuff like the Proto Gashats and DVD/game pack-ins seems to be floating around that price range as well which is pretty good all things considered.

Keep in mind this is all recent stuff within the past couple months since Mandarake rotates its "Sold out" section every month or two. Finding an actual Kiwi lockseed was nigh impossible as the show was airing and when you did find it that nonsense was $50-80, Mango was like $40-50 then its price dropped to the $20-30 it is now. If you need sources you need to go back to when Gaim was airing and hope Mandarake has its stuff on archive websites. It also says it's been opened though. Not "Resealed", "Opened". So you're getting a properly used one rather than an unopened one or a resealed one which means you have to consider problems with the thing and the usual cigarette smell to permeate the thing. It was definitely a "Safe" story, but it definitely has the usual pickup in story after the first dozen or so episodes. Drive's biggest problem was the neck snapping tone between comedy and drama some of the episodes would have.

But the actual cop stuff and the romance story were definitely some of its highlights.
