Mostly this for SAS in general. The suit design just didn't do it any favors and the color choices should've been more subdued. Toyko Ghoul comes off as a series that has dynamic poses or interesting weapons and acessories from the few chapters and art I've seen.

Ok, on a scale from 1 to absolutely livid, how pissed should I be? I ordered Killer Queen 2nd (supposedly complete) from Solaris for $80 shipped. Figure arrived safe and sound, but without his soundplate. I like the soundplates but a figure missing one isn't a deal breaker for me or anything. Still, dropped $80 on a supposedly complete figure. Part of me wants to comtact them and bitch, but I don't really wanna send the figure back over a soundplate when i can't read it and have several others that look cool on display.

New figures are the cheapest to get when they are just released. Older(that don't get reissues like Okuyasu) and second colors when they are gone they are gone so those go in price yes

Just buy what you want my man, don't go on a spree because of anime hype. See SicChan channel to get a feel of the figures you want to buy. Only downside of the guy is that sometimes he doesn't show the actual range of the figures aside from that he is pretty good and has reviewed every SAS but Okuyasu and Koichi I believe? I'm from south America, a single figure is 2.7k EMS and wouldn't want to risk it with sal because third world country and shit. If you are from the states or Europe I'm guessing sal is safer and cheaper. And I don't know if I'm getting lucky but all of my mandarake orders were marked as gifts(without asking) so I think you can ask for them to be marked as gift so you don't get hit with taxes maybe?

As a fellow south american, I have to say the SAL gamble is quite worth it.
It usually takes a long ass time to arrive but it's worth it if you're a poorfag, and as of late, I haven't gotten taxed at all, which evokes a feeling similar to pic related.
You can even get extra lucky and receive it quickly, recently my Wheelnareff and my Giorno 1st arrived at the same time in customs, Pol came within the same week, while Giorno hasn't came in a whole month.

Standard. The only thing you should keep an eye out for is if Blue King Crimson's eyes are painted properly since that was his QC issue across the colorways. I can see Epitaph being an easy fix but the screaming eyes from what I've seen and handled bounce around being close to the intended look or being painted really wrong. I still remember one of Baldy's KC's looking upward instead of forward.

They have. It's crazy to see Yoichi not having a release date since the painted reveal since I expected to see preorders up around a few months after. JJBA slowed to a crawl for even reissues.

If or when Part 5 gets an anime I'd imagine they will ramp up production for some reissues with a recolor or two if we're lucky. The threads reflect that with mostly anon's starting to get into this line or rushing to buy Part 5 SAS before they become hard/expensive to find.

This line used to be monthly, whether it be a second colour or a new character. Characters sometimes came with different expressions and accessories! Weird, I know. To top it off they costed 3000yen.


Ever since they started branching out to other IP they slowed down. Now, you're lucky to get more than a couple a year, they are way overpriced (not entirely their fault, but too much for what you are getting) and come with shit all. Baoh and Gyro being exclusive is just the cherry on top.

The line changed to worse version of itself over the years, but some of the latest releases, like Anasui and Weather, have some really good accessories, Anasui and Jolyne don't even get generic screaming alternate heads.

I mentioned this a few threads ago, but a cool idea for Weather Report's design as to spice up the mainly white coloring, would be to have it solid paint from the head, but as it gets to the waist, it'd slowly start to transition from solid, to translucent to clear plastic at his feet, since you rarely see him fully materialized anyway.

plus the extra cloud parts, a couple of blood spires, maybe a thundercloud or two, if not hurricane pieces, but then again, effect parts exist as well.

I'd fucking love a weather report stand figure, though.

Seeing Jotaro is the only case, 1.5 was made to replace the original 1st's heads due to the poor sculpting job with the standard head you see on Part 3 Jotaro's now. Stuff like 2nd and 3rd are labels for the alternate colorways so Jotaro 2nd is his blue colorway and Jotaro 3rd is his green. There are other labels like WF, Limited Edition, and "color" Ver. but same rule applies.

Jotaro 1.5 is expensive because he comes with a Yare Yare Daze soundplate. I bought a Jotaro 1.0 off AmiAmi for 2k. And the Purple Jotaro included the 1.5 black heads with it as a preorder bonus, so i bought a preowned Purple Jotaro off Amiami that included them for 3k. That might not be the best deal unless you really care about that soundplate.

Alot of the times, you'll see something for one price only to come back later and see a different price listed after it's sold, dunno of it's something to do with the way the site is coded or what. Some people e-mailed Medicos regarding an eventual general release for Gyro, which they replied that they do intend to release a Gyro 2nd at some point. Whether you see Medicos themselves as a reliable source, it's up to you.
The way I see it is that they realized that it's ten times smarter to release the exclusive first rather then doing it at a later point.

As an American, those prices look absolutely absurd, but, I also don't have to pay any taxes or customs fees on figures coming out of Japan. For instance, right now, I could get a brand new Josuke from Amiami for about 3800 yen + about 1000 yen for air mail shipping. After conversion, it should come out below $45 USD. As someone who's lived in Central America (countries pretty far behind Brazil, for the most part) the worst you could expect on a tax is somewhere between 10% or 20% on a real bad day. That would bump up Jotaro 2nd's or Josuke 8's price to $55 or $60 max after shipping from a site like Amiami, and that's brand new. Unless your buyers only know about Amazon, those will have a real hard time selling.

It doesn't help if you came in during the anime adaptation and Kira and Killer Queen were being reissued and people wanted the 2nd variants due to the colorway chosen. Hell, before that they were still a pain to find and were found for a pretty high price. Why Medicos never reissue 2nd variants and beyond is a mystery.

WF Killer Queen comes with an additional head and hand and the colorway is pretty great.

I've been thinking about getting a WF Crazy Diamond and had a question about it. I've heard that the alt Josuke head that comes with him isn't compatible with newer Josuke releases. Is that true? How bad is the fit? Is it at all possible to fit it on the newer release Josuke's neck peg?

Speaking from experience here, and do not attempt it if you have a newer model of josuke. If you do, when you take it off the peg will most likely snap like it did mine. But even without the head wf crazy diamond is still worth it, its superior to the original in my opinion

I bought Jotaro (2nd version) on ebay, labeled as brand new. It arrived today but the cardboard is not sealed with tape (like, for example Robot Spirits from Bandai).
Is it normal for S.A.S. or is it used?
