Did you check your local post office website for an update? Once it hits your country then switch to that for more up to date reports. Other than that, if you did pick SAL then it's a very slow process to come to your home. Expect to go over a month if not more before you can inquire about a missing or lost package.

Yes, yes, and yes. I personally love the sculpt of the figure. The articulation on the figure is ok, being just a bit worse than regulat DIO's. As for accessories, not a whole lot. Hands, an alt head, and the Soundplate. He can usually be found pretty cheap too, think I paid 2k yen for mine.

Aijin/IBM is the tallest so far for released SAS and he stands 7.8 inches going by MFC. BIG Star Platinum is 9.95. I doubt it's going to be silly if Medicos is sensible on box dimensions if all he's coming with are the usual hands and head. It's not like those RAH Stand boxes since I've seen that in-store and that was pretty damn tall since I mostly collect 1/12 scale stuff.

I have the 2nd version and while I like it the articulation for the shoulders is a tad hindered. I think he has a better sculpt than normal DIO, but if you want a DIO he's great and the soundplate adds to it.

I know Medicos loves to disapoint but don't forget we've gotten some pretty cool shit in the past. Think back to Sticky Fingers zipper effects, Anasui's Diver Down parts. Hell, even as disappointing as Gyro is at least we got a ball throwing effect

As for Diego, if they actually go with the tail they have also used a "plug" to hide holes before granted it was one of the most questionable choices I've seen before Pucci's hat.

Yes, the punch/kick effects are excellent and a suprise for me which makes a sweet pairing for Diver Down. Paintwise he's pretty good on mine but I was hit with poor gluing of the elbows so I had that.

I've never seen any major paint QC issues, I could be wrong though. If I recall correctly the main complaints people had with him were over his questionable colorway and ugly shoulders. I'm not too bothered by those issues though and would highly recommend him

With proper placement and adjustment it doesn't produce a bad gap. I had to pull them out a little more to get the arms in place but I'm well aware on how much of a gap that shows.

Actually I was a little suprised to see a sort of pop out arm function from Medicos since they always have stuck to their form of articulation and only changing things based on design.

Paintjob is perfect on mine, and I can confirm that with just the least bit of patience the shoulders won't look ugly. It's a pretty ugly joint if not hidden but it really does add a lot of range.

It's pretty limited since he doesn't have butterfly joints to really get them across. You can extend them more outward but that's it though you can get him to fold his arms if you manipulate the elbow joints enough so I guess there's that.

That's actually what's appealing to me to about this, I swear I'm not baiting. I like the idea of getting one high-quality, highly-articulated JJJBA figure a year rather than paying a premium to plug gaps in a collection of smaller figures with some seriously outdated engineering. My entire collection besides Kira 2nd and Joseph has been boxed up for well over a year.

Honestly it looks the same to me. Maybe it's the guy posing him but ankle pivot still hasn't been applied to Star Platinum and they dropped the bicep swivel for the ball jointed shoulder to keep the sculpt. They did include the jointed shoulder pads from SPIV and dropped the hinged neck to make for a more cohesive look but articulation doesn't seem to be the major point for SAS BIG but better sculpt and larger scale.

High quality I'm sure of though so paintwork should be on point at this scale.

I had them on display but didn't have enough cabinet space to keep them all inside. Got a bit antsy when ACDC took a shelf dive and chipped some paint on his loincloth.

They're all in excellent condition with the exceptions of The World 2nd's stand (half the of peg snapped off when I first used it, thankfully I was able to pull the broken piece out of the figure's back without doing any damage), Silver Chariot has a toe piece that's glued on that apparently Mandarake missed (and so did I until the glue broke down), ACDC has a couple of small paint chips on the edge of his loincloth, and inexplicably Old Joseph's stand's screws rusted while sealed in the packaging. Not sure what good prices to ask would be on the collection.

WF Joseph (not Joseph 2nd) should be a good seller at above $70 or more given how much he is on Mandarake. Star Platinum 2nd be a decent sell also given his lowest is 6k. Kira 2nd and Killer Queen 2nd should also be strong sellers but check around Mandarake sold out listings and figure an average from that.

Everything else has met either a reissue or easy to find at a decent cost so cover the prices you paid without marking up a lot if you want them gone quickly. The /BST/ threads always seem to have anon's wanting an SAS and I guess eBay for a larger audience.

They should since the punch effects come with smaller base arms to support them for either solo use or for other SAS. The issue comes up when using them on smaller hand pegs so trying to have something like Stone Free use it isn't viable without the supporting arms. You need hand pegs around the size of Star Platinum's and The World to be entire swaps without the support.

If you care about the best articulation, Star Platinum Part 4. Part 3 is still plenty fine and I do like the headsculpt and overall color choices from SP1st-3rd compared to Part 4.

Pic related was a request(headswap) but you see the changes such as butterfly joints for better inward arm range, The rounded ball hip setup for excellent leg movement and smaller cloth piece so it doesn't hinder any forward leg poses. Ab crunch is better also but SP Part 3 still holds up. Also jointed shoulder pads instead of Part 3's molded in shoulder pads to the neck cloth.

Part 3 Star Platinum for me, has a better overall "look" since I'm not a fan of the boots on Part 4 and the headsculpt really divides people but Part 4 is generally more fun to pose with all the changes. Though the biggest gripe is the loss of Star Finger for a wood piece that is only good for replicating the Sheer Heart Attack chapter but it's understandable. However since SP Part 4 doesn't have any other colorway you can only lean on Part 3 for 3 variations.

As for Jotaro, I'm a bit of a purist so I can't really attach SP Part 4 to a Part 3 Jotaro but I can pair SP Part 3 to Part 4 and not get bothered so easily.

Part 4 SP just suffers from a singular colorway and headsculpt design though it comes down to preferences but overall artiuclation is a selling point in my opinion. Part 3 poses fine but you lack things like waist rotation and the ability for the legs to do the splits due to the waist decorations on his sculpt.

Using sla printing you can get a very smooth surface that requires minimal sanding/priming to smooth. I usually use moddler.com for 3D prints; they're more expensive than something like shapeways, but there's very little work required to get their prints looking good.

If you have patience and some luck, I would strongly consider Yahoo Auctions Japan for figures.

It takes some work as well as some luck to find good deals but sometimes you can get stuff for a pretty good price, even with shipping costs, just make sure to read the fine print of an item before bidding.

One thing thats great about YAJ is the possibility of finding lot sales, which can result in really good prices. I got like 5 figures + the papercraft road roller for I think 100 bucks shipped to my proxys warehouse.

I have all three Rohans and while Rohan 3 is definitely better than the first, Rohan 2 is still my favorite. I feel like 2 has the best headsculpt, and while I haven't actually messed around with 3 all that much, 2 has better articulation than any other SAS I own, including Joseph and Star Platinum 4 (which are the two with best articulation as far as I can gather from these threads). Plus his extra head isn't generic yelling, and he comes with a Heaven's Door soundplate (or at least the black version does, I don't have the white one so I don't know about that one)

What determines who gets more colorways? Is it as simple as how popular the character is? Is that why Jotaro/Star Platinum and Dio/The World have so many variants?

I imagine popularity used to be the main determining factor, hence why Jotaro, SP, DIO, The World, and Rohan have so many variants. I honestly have no idea how they determine what gets a variant now though. With the popularity surrounding DiU, you'd think we'd get another Kira, Koichi, Okuyasu, Jousuke, P4Jotaro, or Crazy Diamond. Maybe they've found that having more than two colorways typically isn't profitable or something (though I wouldn't think that'd apply to WF variants due to limited nature).

I mean, Gyro's colors are based on a particular illustration, not ASB itself, even if they're mostly similar, there are several tweaks, like the shade of purple and the colors of the cape and Gyro's hair.

I've never given a shit about any of the exclusives in the past and see them pop up on mandy every now and then, but i've never been on the hunt for them. I'd say within the period of WF so keep an eye out during those time periods. I've seen a consistent trend of WF SAS being sold rather quickly during the event. Otherwise you also have a shot to preorder on AmiAmi if you're fast enough.

That's the hope, but they've been heavily dialing back on the line. There was a time when new releases came every month. Now, we're lucky to get two new JJBA SAS a year. (New as in a new mold, not a recolor.) Some people have been viewing the Prosciutto mold with the hope that it means Medicos is still going to continue the line and revisit previous parts, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd rather not psych myself up that we're going to get a figure of Part 8's best boy only for it to never happen.

Anyone have some pictures of the Akira Statue Legend alongside some of the Part 4 SAS? The few I can find don't really show them where you can see the scale very well.

I was moving his head and removed it, but I'm having problems to put it back to his neck. I forced a little and it seems to have made some marks around the entrance of the neck and, sorry for a lack of a better term, pushed down the edge of it. Question for anyone with Bruno and other part 5 characters: does any of the cast's heads fit on the zipper neck that comes with bucciarati? Bruno himself is compatible with it and is helpful when recreating GD/BB but I don't know if the peg is the same and I don't want to risk breaking the peg

Everyone who's been in the game for a little while knows that you shouldn't pay more than, for example, $30-40 tops for Trish and slightly less for Spice Girl, but over-stimulated first-time congoers aren't going to know that.

Just trying it out, Fugo, Mista, Trish and Narancia fit easily, Giorno with a bit of force, didn't try Abbacchio because deemed I would never be able to remove it. Polnareff is currently stuck as fuck, don't go there.

I had the same idea when I got my Bruno. I used it for the extra head, but when I tried to swap heads, the joint's wheel snapped. Would recommend being extra careful if you plan to be swapping the heads around.

Purple should've been Joseph's default IMO. He's the only JoJo I have no interest in getting because man, Medicos just seriously dropped the ball on him. Damn shame as he's my second favorite too

I wouldn't say they dropped the ball on him, he's definitely a home run of a figure with great articulation and accessories, it's just his lack of a smiling head and colorway leave a little to be desired. I will second you on purple Joseph tho, we absolutely need that. If you can get a good deal on it I highly recommend WF Joseph, easily the shining jewel of my collection
