Welcome to the Lego General; we talk about Lego. Sometimes we build stuff.

Thread Challenge:
>Build a mythical creature!
I was trying to build a human sized robot for last thread but ended up turning into something MFZ scale instead.
Finally made a blue Gsquad Mech to finish my Team off!!!
>>6153571
This thing is basically buildable with 2006-era parts. It looks like an old creator mech.
Neat!
>tfw no Lego Terminator series
Had completely no Medium blue but went to the Lego store yesterday and found some 1x2 so grabbed a few along with about 50 of each ball joint and a TON of varius white slopes/modtiles etc!!
Tried to give it a Bird/Ed209/Rex/X1Alpha design to it!!!
Not my photo but this is what I had in mind for Kira and Killer Queen. There's a better brick-built head for KQ but it's with white bricks and Catwoman stickers.
Thoughts? On the fence about having to buy ballet Batman just for his head/helmet.
>>6153583
I really need to head to the lego store before the mixed joints are gone
I had to have one when I saw last thread's image
Seeing you guys pick up those lego dimensions sets for 99cents yesterday made me jealous as that they're still $22 here in Australia
>>6153593
kek
neat
>>6153595
It's from a Chinese cartoon called JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
>>6153593
That's pretty spooky. I just realized I can finally make a space kook with that new Mr. Freeze armor.
>>6153584
needs a pink face
>>6153591
Ive easilly used 100 in Mocs this month !!!
Does it bother anyone else that its arctic roller, not antarctic roller?
>>6153605
Does that even exist?
I think there's only dark pink minifig heads, like from the CMF alien queen
>>6153610
arc•tic (ärkˈtĭk, ärˈtĭk)
adj. Extremely cold; frigid. See Synonyms at cold.
n. A warm waterproof overshoe.
ant•arc•tic
adj. Southern.
adj. Of, from, or pertaining to Antarctica and the south polar regions.
adj. Opposite, contradictory.
proper n. One of the major ecozones of the world, covering the south polar regions.
Basically, I'm not really bothered.
>>6153593

My birthday can't come soon enough
>>6153625
surely minifig printing services are cheaper than this?
lemon slice studs when?
>>6153625
Jesus dude, do you shit golden bricks?
>>6153577
Aaaahh, Im jelly of your pink mech
>>6153584
Looks nice. Have you tried the CMF pig head for KQ though?
>>6153642
Flipped his head around so there's just blank yellow space in the face section, the CMF pig is currently my [STAND]-in (heh) for KQ. Its eyes are too cute and friendly/harmless-looking, that's the thing.
But I'm using CMF dog guy for Kira at the moment, with his friendly face and 1st-place ribbon, so maybe I should make some concessions.
Considering making a minifig-scale SHA as well, which would be around the size of a minifig head unfortunately.
>>6153642
>>6153650
Here's an ancient pic from someone else
>that Stray Cat
>>6153652
It's your money so spend it as you wish, I personally want to get the most of my money's worth when lurking on Bricklink.
So I'm torn between the Detective's Office or the Parisian Restaurant. Which would you guys recommend? Perhaps some pics if you got 'em?
>>6153669
I don't have any modulars, but I like the detective office. It is probably the best stand alone building.
>>6153669
I don't have either. But if I were to pick I'd choose the restaurant. You can never have enough lego food.
>>6153650
>>6153653
Both of these are from Moko.
How is everyone doing with Wave 1 of the Nexo Powers bags? I've gotten 4 packs so far and I have two that I've gotten 3 copies of. Are some powers more common than others? I'm happy with the bats, but the mammoths are kinda lame.
The circled ones came with battle suit Axl.

why couldn't Lego just make all mixel joints in dark grey?
>>6153594
I don't even want them that much but I'm gonna go tomorrow and pick a couple up
Don't worry, lego will screw burgerland over and it'll all balance out
>>6153763
the 1x2 with socket on the long side has a dark gray version, actually.
I used my free time today to make a spacebike
>>6153790

I've browsed these generals for years and have never seen this apparently dank meme mentioned. After googling it appears to be a /tv/ thing. The image was mostly posted here as a reactionimage that expresses the joy of Lego and works fine in that context.
[spoiler]i was just jacking off to Kate Mara so this is a little spooky[/spoiler]
Any sauce on where the idea she liked Lego comes from? Interview? The only relatively celebrity people i know like Lego are Adam Savage and his asian friend and Matt and Trey from Southpark.
Side view
I ordered some pieces in this shade of blue with my last cracklink order because until now all the pieces I had were the four cylinders on the rear and a couple of large curved plates from the Cloud Cuckoo Palace. They only had a few, but happy to say I used every piece.
WARNING MIXED GRAYS

I've had this big fan piece sitting around ever since I got it in a random thrift store bag. I think it makes a good engine fan.
>>6153799
that is a MASSIVE bike. Nice color scheme
>>6153808

Hard to see but there are two fins on the underside. It looks a lot like a manta ray from some angles but I can't get a good picture

He's neat.
>>6153617

Yes, like a penguin
Honestly though, its good that pedantic nitpickery doesn't win out.
>>6153628
We will get them in next friends sets.
>>6153697
I'm waiting for big sales. They are not worth full price and they will be on sale once day for sure.
>>6153763
>Macy Mech has best colors and figure - I need like 10.
>Nexo powers there are shit or already doubled
> I still want it
Sales when?
>>6153763
All the weird color decisions like the differently colored joints or those randomly colored "filler" bricks are due to kids being retards and making the building process as easy as possible so that even the dumbest one can finish it without issues.
That and being cheap fucks.
>>6153870

>>6153897

>>6153898

>>6153206
>>6153209
that's neat anon, i love build ideas based around unique parts.
what we could do with a tutu?
>>6153893
The Galapagos Penguin does live north of the equator with others species living north of the antarctic continent, you're correct.
The penguin is a southern hemisphere creature and antarctic is a proper descriptor.
I've never used LDD before, but I don't want to buy a bunch of parts on BL only to find out they don't work with what I want to build.
Is the parts inventory in that set fairly up-to-date? How is it when it comes to unorthodox or perhaps even illegal connections?
>>6153594
I'm still holding onto hope that the Reject Shop gets them at some point. Hang in there, Ausbro.
what a weird piece
>>6153932
those fucking faces
>>6153888
he's more a characterization of a mcguffin. someone needs to build XXXX or repair YYYY, and someone else needs to magic ZZZZ, thus ava and robin, because the knights have their own shit, and are too busy with screentime to build a jet
>>6153932
So many rapefaces.
>>6153940
Is the show worth watching? I've never really watched the shows that they make for these action themes.
>>6153942
its pretty cute. i like it better than i liked ninjago (and i like ninjago better as a line)
it is a standard lego show though, so the characters are steriotypes of themselves, some to the point of being annoying/assholes, yet everyone magically loves him
unlike ninjago though, the badguys are great, and more entertaining/loveable than some of the main characters
>>6153824
These look really good.
>>6153763
Have anyone found any creative or surprising uses for that cockpit piece?

that's a really cool builds. I love the engines and how the windscreen is tucked in pretty well. Nice colourscheme and use of prints too, are they all official?
>>6153992
that is great
nice greebling and excellent cockpit
(by the way, has anyone ever thought off where the word cock-pit came from? It's really strange if you think about it)
>>6154012
thankyou!
the cockpit is an absolute mess of illegal connections and is a mix of free-hinge and click hinge so it can pop off easy.
that said, I cant believe how snug the angles are considering how trash the windscreen piece is for anything other than exposed mecha
>>6154012
oh, and most of the orange are sticker-ed from a heap of exo-force sets that I picked up cheap the other day.
>>6154020
The cockpit is named after the small piece of skin where the shaft and ballsack overlap the crundle in a resting position.
The term got adopted in aviation because most pilots are some sort of intersection between being cocky or an asshole and it thus make it the least cool area of a goddamn aeroplane.
>>6154029
>thinking cockpits are uncool
(yes I know the greys mix)
>>6153884
i just saw this guy at a Ross last week, but theyre like 2$ less
>>6153932
i want to make a mech out of those. Potts forms the head, Closet is torso, Lumiere can be a sword...ill figure out the rest later.
>>6153799
I like this a whole lot.
>>6154014
>The word cockpit was originally a sailing term for the coxswain's station in a Royal Navy ship, and later the location of the ship's rudder controls.[citation needed] Cockpit first appeared in the English language in the 1580s, "a pit for fighting cocks", from cock + pit. Used in nautical sense (1706) for midshipmen's compartment below decks; transferred to airplanes (1914) and to cars (1930s).[2] From about 1935,[citation needed] cockpit came to be used informally to refer to the driver's seat of a car, especially a high performance one, and this is official terminology in Formula One.

What's the proper way to part out on BL? Just made a purchase and it didn't subtract from my wanted list and when I view the order FROM my wanted list, it doesn't tell me how much of said part I purchased.
>>6154503
On your order detail on Bricklink, if you scroll down all the way down on the invoice, there's a little option to "Apply Order to Wanted List", which I think should do the trick.
>>6154514
Just seems to duplicate the items from my wanted list. It's a bit of a pain since I'm parting out 2 older sets scattered across multiple stores. There's gotta be a convenient way to do this.
>>6154273

>>6154544
At least they are doing high-end playsets. Scarif, Tadokana and Jakku were all in the $60-70
I'd love to see a UCS playset that's properly scaled and made as an accurate representation someday
>>6154237
Why are we getting a Quadjumper? It was in the movie for all of three seconds before it was completely destroyed. What's the point?
>>6154459
How fast is it?
Also you need to get the rechargeable battery pack. It helps take less space and can help downsize a MOC significantly.
>>6154561
I had to look it up just to remember what it was. I like it's bulkiness but that motherfucker's gonna sit on shelves bigtime
>>6154561
That's three seconds more than the snowspeeder.
>>6154555
A lot of the minifigs look like they are on fire. On Rathtar Escape, they all are. Does anyone recognise the fourth character included with the Quadjumper?
>>6154564
Not terribly fast. It's for a contest, competitors have to build something that can cross a bridge made out of two metal beams. Folks can only use a regular batterybox and a single medium motor.
( Pictured: one end of the bridge)
>>6154572
True, but at least at that point the movie wasn't out yet. Now they are releasing a set that everybody knows is only in the movie for a couple seconds. I guess they needed a ship set and couldn't find any others to make.
How much could one expect to make on one of these? (In good condition but without the original bag)
>>6154514

>>6154601
>>6154615

What happened to the three armored minifigs that were posted here?
>>6154621
Took em down. Why?
Just had a flame with a faggot who was whining "newskellies" implying that new skeletons are not as good as old ones
I was trying to explain him that old skeletons were completely useless as characters or minifigs because their hands werent made for holding stuff and doing anything with it just like minifigures.
I was also telling him that old skeletons were bad quality in general because their useless piece of shit-wobbly-hands were attached to very tiny thin pin that often would break. And the new technic of skellie-hands allowed them to be as useful as any other characters so you can make
>a skeleton holding bazooka
>Army of skeletons that walk and do all kinds of random motion-poses unlikw with wobbly-hands ones
>a skeleton that is a character and not a dumb decoration
But that faggot went completely insanely retarded with his
>MUH OLD SKELLIES KIDS THESE DAYS DONT UNDERSTAND MUH SKELLIES HANDS
>MUH NEWSKELLIES
fucking christ.
What a piece of shit.
>>6154622
I wanted to save the pic, and to ask where the armor came from.
>>6154632
Its Si-Dans new EOD armor. They clip onto the figure parrs very well. My only complaint is that the leg armor is slightly longer than the figure's boot.
>>6154561
The same reason they made figures of nobodies with 3 seconds of screentime back in the 80s.
AKA, I have no idea.
>>6154626
It's simple.
Oldskellies are for ragdoll poses.
Newskellies are for minifig poses.
>>6154634
They do look really good. I'll be picking up a couple sets, thanks anon!
>>6154638
>It's simple.
>Oldskellies are for ragdoll poses.
>Newskellies are for minifig poses.
I know about that. Like for example Ninjago has both - character skellies and picrelated - decoration with wobbly hands action.
But there are autistic lego builders who completely reject newskellies for retarded reasons.
>>6154646
No problem. I dont suggest buying any of their weapons, though. Si-Dan makes interesting armor pieces, but their plastic is standard Chinese shit-tier.
>>6154647
>But there are autistic lego builders who completely reject newskellies for retarded reasons.
They will never have a satisfying skeleton army then unless they're willing to commit heresy, in which case they refute their own point.
Can't be a lego purist when you're already a heretic.
>>6154647
>But there are autistic lego builders who completely reject newskellies for retarded reasons.
how do they feel about other new pieces/colors?
fleshies?
>>6154657

>>6154655
>heresy
>oficial skeleton that is Lego creation that was made so skeletons will be better at holding stuff and less breakable joints
>heresy
This why i think that such people are retards.
In every "nerdy" community/hobby there is some sort of a retard that super-attached for one thing for no reason and hates everything else that is "MUH HERESY :("
>>6154657
>fleshies?
LOL!
Haha and those ones too.
However i do agree that its visually hard to accept a fleshie in a fully yellow community.
But its just a skin color.
Skeletons and their hands - is a completely different situation where new is definitely better.

>>6154561
Cool ships are made to be toy-ified. I wanted to see what the Quadjumper could do myself. Does it make giant rocket-assisted "jumps" as flight? Sounds like a fun as hell way to travel to me. Seems like it's not really a ship that's designed for off-world flight, though, just planetary travel.

When I first started making the bike on the right, the idea was "take the front end of a 1950s Buick, chop it off, and stick a trike body on the back", but since I never plan out anything in detail, it ended up going a different direction. I tried it again with the lighter blue, but I think it ended up looking more like a 1960s Ford Starliner.

I'm ridiculously tempted to buy the Transporter (love how it takes after WWII landing craft) but the scale would bug me. How much of the second set d'you think would be necessary to extend it?
Another thing that bugs me is that it's FO-era. I'm mostly into Imperial Army stuff but they've never had a decent ground transport vehicle that isn't a big damn AT-AT

>Wizard of Oz dollar pack
I would do that but it would cost a regular market-price?
(also im from europe - is that ok? you can open it and just send me parts in smaller package)
>>6155989
Its brown because rust
>>6156023
ah i get it now. the "bad" side is destroyed and chaotic/rusty
Anybody have a link to the site showing how to make lego dnd type dungeons?
>>6155989
>its white-brown because 2face is borown-skinned in this movie
Two-Face is "borown-skinned" [sic] because he's played by Billy Dee Williams, a callback to a series of movies that's clearly older than you are.
>>6156057
to be fair, one movie, and he didnt even become two-face in it. Nice to see the Dee man getting some respect, though.
Hes come a long way since Colt-45.
>>6156057
>older than you are.
i mean i know im (((((only))))) 32 and i didnt see that movie "as a kid" but you still a faggot for putting this here.
brown skinned 2face is shit because it destroys aestetically appealing color choice.
>>6155809
> That bomb dropping mechanism
Simple yet effective, I love it!
>>6155840
>The Batwing is $89.99
Fucking hell. That's more expensive than the Scuttler. That's almost as much money as the Batcave.
>>6155813
Even though, as an adult, it's annoying to have ten identical Batmans (Batmen?), I'm still fine with them doing that. I remember as a kid, there was only one normal-colored Batman action figure, and he was never in stock, so my childhood Batman TAS action figure was wearing a bright orange flight suit. I would have killed for a regular Batman as a kid. Remember, we're not LEGO's target audience; they do cater quite a bit to adult collectors, but we're not the primary demo. This way, kids who only get one or two LEGO sets are guaranteed a regular Batman.

So you want another car then, instead of a monster loader? Maybe another pimp mobile but this time two colors on each half. Is that it?
>>6156099
>So you want another car then, instead of a monster loader?
Yeah i want a cool elegandt looking and unique car with authentic 2face coloring.
Not a lego City loader with few spikes and 6 stud-shooter.
>>6156099
>Maybe another pimp mobile but this time two colors on each half.
Yeah. That'd be great. Or go really crazy with it by doing half a pimpmobile on one side, and half of a different style of vehicle on the other.
>>6156099
It's more of a general batman problem where almost all of his villains are mob/suit types so very wacky vehicles don't make sense
But something like a limo or repurposed police vehicle would have fit better
>>6156056
>Anybody have a link to the site showing how to make lego dnd type dungeons?
Google BrickQuest
>>6155989
it has purple tubes on it and that's all that matters
>>6156067
I get what you're saying but it's hilariously worded.
>guys it's not a race thing but his skin color LOOKS bad
>>6156113
nah half regular limo, half suv limo
>>6156174
There is literally nothing wrong with liking some skintones over others aesthetically.
>>6156174
nah m8 you still retarded for not understand how colors work. 2face design didnt mean he will be having any brown color in his style.
At all.

Eh, you do know that this is a parody of the Batman franchise right? This is not some super serious movie like the animated DVD releases by DC. This is the wacky adventures of LEGO Batman from The LEGO Movie aimed at kids and adults with a sense of humor.
>>6156094
Kids like batman, but they only need one. And if they like the movie they will have more or all sets.
My nephew and his friend always say "oh no, another xy" and that was with Ninjago and Nexo knights that has several characters.
>>6155854
No pimp cape, no purchase
>>6156187
>Not a fucking BROWN AND BLACK. (or brown and white)
it is actually brilliantly subtle commentary on race relations and internet commentary on the Commissioner and Whatshername being in blackface for the movie.
>>6154626
>old skeletons were completely useless as characters or minifigs because their hands weren't made for holding stuff
Are you fucking stupid?
> doing anything with it just like minifigures.
That's because skeletons can't move, because they're dead.
>old skeletons were bad quality in general because their useless piece of shit-wobbly-hands were attached to very tiny thin pin that often would break.
That's because they're skeletons, idiot. Bones are fragile after death.
>tell someone that I get their point but their post could be misconstrued as being racist
>get sperged on because they missed my point
such is life in the forechins
>>6155879
Yeah, I would have preferred something that's half muscle car, half luxury car or something like that.
>>6156288
>get sperged on
>because an anon misconstrued my post thinking i was calling him racist
such is life on 9gag
>>6156259
The only one who's black is Two-Face. I don't know if you're aware of this, but there's more kinds of people besides white and black. Rosario Dawson, for example, neither white nor black.
>>6156356
Um it's not really my job to educate you but this is not in keeping with the PoC/whitey dichotomy
racist

jesus fucking christ
i hate vehicles
but you know what? i already own fucking 3 of them from this line, because they're "fun" vehicles, not just cars and batmobiles and shit
depending on extra pictures (the flip side of 2faces, the planes action features, shit like that) i might end up with all 4 of these
>>6155851
>>mfw I preferred the turret
>But I think this'll be a perfect complement to the 2016 FO battlepack.
Yeah, their's nothing wrong with the turret, it's just not as playable as a speeder.
The inclusion of TR-8R and the Flame Trooper means we're finally getting more than just four stud shooters for weapons as well!
>>6155981
>>tiny one-seater Milano
>Cute, and nice to see the GotG's literal flagship in a more affordable set for kids
Actually if you look at that one pic, it's a two seater.
Still, loving the Mini M-ship (Milano's class) coming with Ravager Attack, since we need more smol swoosh-ables that aren't Microfighters.
>>6156219
LEGO does this so that you don't need to buy every set to get popular characters. I guess it's more of a first world problem.
REMINDER that Kanan in magazine is now available in Poland!
