So I found a few odds and ends of Lego clearance at Walmart today. Two Lego chima bird Chi sets, two ultimate Nexo knight sets, and a freak hero factor bag set. Was all deep clearance price so I bought it all as well that Lego Batman Joker bag set and this was the end result.

It's the cheapest and easiest way to get parts. If you want to build say a dozen soldiers you won't get cheaper. If you just want to make a select few it's cheaper but overkill and you will just have a tub of unused parts.

So what powers did Makuta have prior to his transformation, besides his Mask and the stuff Ekimu has shown (mask making, some form of astral projection, telepathy, etc)? Apparently Ekimu had light powers, but did Makuta have anything else?
We don't even know if the two were just very powerful villagers or a separate race entirely. So many unexplained stuff.

Mind you, I liked the more "fill in the void" approach of G2. G1 lost its magic because the legendary objects and beings were throughly explained, and so they fell from their pedestal and suddenly stood on the same level with the mundane.
When someone asked where the brothers' Legendary Masks came from they answered that "I can't reveal that, but you kind of get the feeling someone else made the Masks for them."
I found that fascinating and wanted to hear more stuff like that. Not full revelations like G1 did, just some subtle hints to tease the imagination.
I came up with my own headcanons on the Mask Makers and other things, so I wasn't complaining. I was more curious to hear if others did the same.

There is no "high tech fortress". They literally swapped the elements of these two. The entrances have to wrong colors, the enemies have the wrong colors, the Rahkshi boss attacks were clearly meant for the other level.

Well, Bionicle is in its own universe with the possibility of an alternate Earth. Also, Brutaka's mask and Takanuva's adventures prove the existence of many different alternate universes.
So it could be possible all those franchises are on different planets in the same universe, or it's on the same world with a Turn A Gundam-esque reset after each one.

We don't need something groundbreakingly complex or amazing. Something simple and fresh to reboot interest in constraction, like Bionicle did in 2001 after Roboriders (which had a single wave + Boss, so I imagine they weren't a huge success).

Keep CCBS and Technic as the basis for the build so to not alienate constraction fans, but integrate the sets with minifig collection. A way would be making mechs piloted by minifigs, like HF Invasion from Below, but with classic minifigs kids can easily collect and customize. A CMF series for the minifigs could be integrated as well.

Story shouldn't be anything too complex, there's already Ninjago for that. Something like Nexo Knights would be ok, as long as the core concept is fresh and used well.
Or rather than something completely new, revive an old theme, like Lego likes doing. Exo-Force for example.

But I would personally prefer something entirely new. A hard reboot for constraction. And even though I said that it doesn't need to be groundbreaking, I personally would love to feel that same sense of wonder I felt back when I saw the Slizers/Throwbots for the first time.
