Man, I am so glad I got that Prince of Persia set when it was new. Really kicking myself for not getting one with the ostriches, but at the time I didn't see the point in spending money on fleshfigs. It's crazy how the silver shoulderpads are a buck each.

TLBM has a lot of really good sets. I would argue there's not really a "best" one. The Joker Low Rider and Penguin car are both fantastic from a design standpoint, the smaller sets (Mr Freeze, Scarecrow pizza, Joker balloons) all connect together into one larger playset, and almost all the sets have a really good price/piece and price/piece/minifig ratios.

Speaking of TLBM sets, am I the only one who gets a very distinct Ed Roth vibe from the Tail-Gator set?

even though i'm not the most into dragons and not a fan of the exposed technic axles and pieces, the dragon is the most complete build in itself. The mech is the set i'd personally buy out of the three and the most versatile for modding, but you'll need extra parts for that.

I modded my Z28 camaro to seat three, but pretty much everything that isn't the hood, trunk and bumpers is completely different, and even those were changed slightly to fit the new proportions.

Heavily modded that chima crow-plane, enlarged it and gave it new wings. I never liked those "solid part-wings" that crow vehicles had.
Now it looks a bit better - wings are super posable and its so much fun!

Also crow-sky pirate got a henchman - robot that piloting the vehicle.

I'm trying to make my own, but I'm hitting some basic hurdles (for example, I'm not quite sure what colour to make the walls that would look good both inside and out, but I don't want to lose out on space by making the walls two studs deep to have different interior colours.)

This batman minifig series is so fucking brilliand has so many neat bodyprints but damn...why they have to be fleshies.

This makes them pretty much useless because the majority of lego characters have yellow faces. And my whole town is filled with yellow ones.

Usually they're just one brick deep and the interior and exterior share a color (usually a tan or a white will work well)
You could probably use SNOT bricks and have tiles hanging on the inside or outside to give a different color. I know a lot of people do this for sidings and such

I have 3 irl pictures of MOCs. One's a real skinny robot, another is a sword space sled, and the last is a nice looking chicken walker (I'd actually want to build it again).

I also remember making a DS holder out of technic parts to hold it open after the hinge broke, and a functioning windmill with baseplates as blades and it could pump water from a well (bucket under the table).

That was my single favorite theme as a kid. And as far as action features go, I think LEGO has still yet to top the Technic pins blasting out parts of the wall.

Does anyone here want to know the 2017 SW set prices in Canadian dollars? You could probably do a conversion and assume the US prices on these. Heres what I know:

The Phantom - 40 CAD

Battle packs - $17 instead of usual 16

Microfighters - 13 each

Y wing - 75

Duel on naboo - 30

Battle on scarif - 65

I thought battle on scarif would be 75 since it is a similar set to Takodana which was 75 dollars, so Im glad its a little cheaper. Y-wing seems like a decent value because it has more pieces than the Rebel U wing which is 100 dollars. Phantoms price is kind of shitty but everyone has a boner for admiral Thrawn I guess (i havent watched rebels). Naboo seems pretty standard, microfighters are normal, and it seems the new battle packs are getting a price increase (super lame as theyre my favourite).

So, for example with conversion the phantom would likely be 30 USD, Y-wing 60 USD, and scarif 50 USD

When are the new battle packs supposed to hit stores in the US? I've visited my local Toys R Us several times, and Walmart and they have nothing.
