Ok, so on bricklist I have my "wanted" list of all parts that I actually own, now how do I somehow export that, they are not all orders, some are others, some are sets. It seems with legos, if you dont get sets, you are severely punished or something. I cant even import to brickset because some of them are not actual official lego sets, they are creations of people.

If it was just ninjago I wouldn't care, but it's much much worse than I had initially thought, I really did. I understand star wars, but even there, they sell out to every damn thing that exists. It just sseems like lego got involved in all these idiotic schemes or something lol.
>>
>>6070011

Fuuuuck that is some large coin but it is worth it. As a Technicfag I rely on that thing for testing functions and all such. Plus there is some mad voodoo with Lithium Polymer batteries that makes them better than regualr battery packs in every way. You don't have to worry about discharging / conditioning like NiCad / Li-ion (can even refill them while being used).

Just beware that if you wan;t to use one where a AA pack is needed (such as 42009 or 42042) you may need some Train weights to balance the model because the LiPos are featherlight.
>>

If you run into the counterweight situation, these are the weights I use:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=73090a#T=P

Two of those plus the LiPo make up the difference of a standard Technic AA Baterybox fully laden. Happy building anon, that shit'll give you years of use.

'Brick pattern' gives you all the bricks with printing. Just search '(part type) pattern' (tile, slope, wedge, etc.).

If you wanted to see all the minifig torsos with neckties, you would search 'minifig torso necktie pattern'.

why do some people buy expensive sets just to take out the minifigs and resell the rest on ebay?

They want the rare minifigs and don't care about the rest of the set. So instead of paying aftermarket prices, they try to get their money's worth by recouping cost on eBay.

God the last time I bought assloads of new LEGO was 4 years ago and the thought of getting back in is overwhelming there are so many new good parts to say nothing about Mixel balljoints.
>>
>>6072196
you can just buy the important new parts on bricklink. mixel joints are still under 10 cents per part, for example
>>
>>6071819
This is really cute, has potential
>>
>>6072179
Nice, these will be handy for snotting in small-scale mocs. Using the super Travis-bricks for edges that need snot on two corners was always very awkard because you had to have space for all the unused studs on all the different planes.
But now i'm not even sure what i'm gonna do with tons of black Super-Travis bricks i got from the pab-wall when there is a better alternative for them in some cases.

AT-ST and the Hovertank are both very good. The U-Wing has cool minifigs, but in all honesty the U-Wing itself kind of sucks. The actual design of it looks derpy, which you can't fault Lego for. But the troop bay inside is really small, which you can fault Lego for.

Like this, with a bit shorter, but wider bridge, and a cannon in front

I need to order more bricks, the 2x4 angled you can see on the side, and 2x2's 3 roof-tile that covers 2 sides.
the blue-red-black cylinder is a mock-up for a torpedo, behind it it's the engine, it's 2 bricks too short at the tallest point, in the back.
matching the pieces to cover the edges is a pain.
Also, it'll never be an actual submarine, but it will be able to float.

Thanks.

The hardest part was figuring out how to make the front somewhat curved, yet cover everything up. I feel that while the wheel arch in the front isn't perfect, it gets the job done. Also, the 2x6 Circle Plate that acts as the front splitter doesn't come in that classic bright blue to match the rest of the car and there isn't a way to make the front as curvy as the model it's based on without changing colors to Black or "Bley" IMO.
>>
>>6073192
The way the sides curve like that can't be kosher.
>>
Lego, serious talk. How do you guys deal with this hobby? I'm getting ready to move in Feb, pulling down sets and deconstructing them, and it just sunk in.

I have enough display space for 1/3rd my collect, and even then it is pushing it. I have one wall of my room that has 4 bookshelves, with two shelves being non-Lego stuff.

I feel like I've already trimmed down, I sold a lot of stuff over the holiday, but it seems like I just have too much. Mainly stuff I made from bricklink, meaning it will be impossibly hard to sell as anything other than "5lb lot of lego".

Using your poopoo and peepee to cost the store 10× what they stole from you is the proper solution, as noted above. Certainly not placing the poopoo and peepee on the floor—rather, into the merchandise. Perhaps the Build-A-Minifigure display.
>>
>>6073494
Also, I'm not really sure if such a color exists, but perhaps you can emulate hardwood bookshelves with a deep brown color, rather than the sort of modernist white they are now. Deep brown bookshelves might necessitate changes to the floor or furniture to look good, though.

He said he dropped $20 at the LEGO Store. Clearly he spent $20 at the LEGO Store. A little kid then stole his purchased product and ran behind a fat lady in the parking lot, thus preventing its re-acquisition for all time in perpetuity throughout the universe.

I notice that the LEGO Store has a loss prevention woman working near the door to stop the store's product from being stolen. Somehow it's OK if the product has just been paid for? After all, he dropped $20 at the LEGO Store. Perhaps next time he'll spend his money somewhere that will tender goods in exchange for currency, or where the loss prevention door person actually stops thieves.

No, he said he dropped $20 at the LEGO store. Employees are not responsible for stopping some shitfaced kid from running off with a $20 bill.

Either he phrased his complaint the wrong way or you completely misinterpreted it trying to take a shot at my reply.

I mean I get it, it's shitty to lose 20 bucks, but you can't expect someone who works at a store to run off and help you. If it's a purchased product that belongs to the store, that's a different situation entirely.
>>
>>6073557

I'd say use more than just small bricks, smaller pieces can be used to add detail.

I remember I used to scoop up all the tiniest pieces at the bottom of my Lego box and use them to make really detailed, small models.

I think Lego doesn't dare to revive their own space series when SW is their go to cashcow, and while I'd love to see the original IP space crusade, there's no chance when Disney comes with StarWars.

I always thought of Spyrius as an organization akin to the Shadowbrokers in Ass effect. They obtain information, scout the universe and develop or 'borrow' tech to sell to the highest bidder. Their main objective is to continue the existence of their organization while trying to maintain a low profile by trying to stay out of intergalactiv politics unless it directly endangers them.

I only really keep mocs i really like together. The only sets i have displayed are the Palace cinema, a timetwisters spoopy train, a heavily modified Monsterhunters hearse, classic space robot commandcentre and small recon ship and a modified volcano crawler ím probably gonna moc into something else.
That's already a bunch, but the majority is stuff i made myself over time. And mocs develop way more slowly than just buying new sets. Mostly since you have to get the right parts bit by bit over time and you keep on modifiying or improving on them without just adding a completely new structure. As you improve your building skills you slowly start to change or even take apart the stuff that isn't up to your standards anymore too, so the increase in space is a lot more gradual.

One step i did take was was cut down on minifigs. One day i just kinda realised my city was getting kinda full and that i was always displaying the same bunch of people i really liked anyways. I still get CMF's i really like mostly for parts or alt-outfits, but i know i care about the figures i made to have a certain character or attitude way more than whatever is in sets. Quality over quantity i guess.

I am also lucky i don't care about licensed IPs like starwars and superheroes i guess, so i don't HAVE to have certain sets on principle.
>>
>>6073404
Ah man that is looking GREAT.
While you've got a great deal of variety in surface texture and colours, i'd suggest making some parts of the facades stick out a bit more for some more depth and variety when looked from the sides (doesn't have to be much, less than a stud or just a plate is enough) this way it'll look less like a box with an elaborate texture on it.
A second thing might be raising the the building on the right up just a bit more from the ground, so the black window frames aren't on the floor level of te sidewalk.

I also feel you on the exams part. I still have a small week but fuck i should really, get my shit together now and stop procrastinating.
