KEK edition?
Anywho, finished my BvS Batwing.

Here I am talking to myself.

hey faggerinos, gimme a hand?
I'm staying at a hotel on International Drive in Orlando, FL at the moment
where would one go to buy some plastic crack here?
if possible, a place located on Int'l Drive

Anyone know if the U-Wing has any cabin space?

It's possible for anyone.
My friend had a Mr. Gold figure, but lost him in a house fire. He also lost his SpongeBob pineapple.
Life is unfair~
>>6073715
haven't played the game but i like this nevertheless.
>>6073676
Go down to the Disney Springs Lego store. Its like 15 mins away probably. If you want to see some neat builds the Orlando Eye is on International drive. They have several Lego sculptures in the lobby and a bus stop that takes you to Legoland. I'm not sure if they sell anything there. If you want like old blind bags, I usually have pretty decent luck at the Walgreens in that area. I found a few series 13 bags like a week ago.
>>6069732
I have an idea! Post lego cities.
Anyone have an update on the Phantom II Lego that was leaked a month or two back? Wondering when it's supposed to be released. Saw it here, but not anywhere else.
So is this the new Lego General thread, or are the autists going to insist on a "proper" new thread once >>6069736 hits the image limit?
>>6074708
I don't have enough architecture to do a city but i've built bases before. Recently picked up more pieces to put together a better base but I don't have the space to build let alone set up a base.
You should post clearer pics of your set up. I like seeing how people incorporate their buildings
>>6074916
looks nice anon
>>6074708
I've posted this recently, but eh.
Here's my city block.
>>6074929

>>6074929
That looks nice.
Daily bugle looks good in this version between the other buildings.
What's the light spot to the left?
>>6074939
Nah, bro. Only the Daily Bugle is mine.
The rest are the offical modulars, silly Anon.
>>6074941

Yes, he is racist.
>>6070594
my MOCs always sucked
then I did the two giant steps:
1. order stash of parts - by area, color, and part. This has the benefit of making you remember what you do have and where it's stored
2. start using LDD for projects larger than 200-300 bricks. Knowing your stash, you'll end up using mostly already available parts.
In a few weeks I put up a 4388 bricks detailed project, only having to buy less than one thousand.
LDD trick: use an insane colour for bricks "don't care color/scratches". This will help when figuring out parts to buy.
>>6074708
wtf a 7938 train accident there in the place where I expected to find a large train station
Look I just got this model and why is it so fucking small, it only looks big because of the folding wings, but U-Wing which costs almost as half less is almost the same size. Not even talking about The Ghost that is almost bigger than Kylo's shuttle and costs also way less.
Why are TFA sets so overpriced...
>>6080912
he is leftist cuck raising his wife's son
>>6080020
You are retarded if you think LEGO designers can't pull that off, when doing commercial sets they are limited by budget.
>>6081472
not only budget. Certain parts too. Then there's the fact that it has to be a reasonable build difficulty, have some neat play features and stand up to kids playing
When they made the Force Awakens black and orange X-Wing, they tested it by making a robot turn the knob that opens and closes the wing like 140 000 times.

Right, fellas. What series / cathegories / individual sets do you thing have the best play value?
For me it's definitely trains, followed by creator-vehicles.
I like when my builds are moving, functioning or at least have some one special function to it, not just collecting dust on shelves.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for any gift and I'm not trying to whine about how I didn't get some $100 set for Christmas or anything.
But I'd prefer the actual lego brand instead of lookalikes.
>>6090062

>>6090070
It doesn't look THAT bad as a standalone set, but it's not a good lookalike brand either.
The biggest problem i've found, is that your parents likely spent between $20 and $25 for that thing, and they could have been spent better
Anybody else checking Barnes and Noble first thing tomorrow to see if there's any Legos in their after Christmas clearance?

I haven't bought a Lego set in about three years now, but some of the new Star Wars sets are damn tempting, especially after watching rogue one...
Should I do it? Should I fall back into this addiction?...
>>6091960
Star Wars sets seem to be the biggest source of complaints when it comes to the price of LEGO sets. Buy a few Rogue One models and see if you feel that what you got was worth what you paid for it.
>>6091894
>I ain't squeezing toy bags in the middle of Target like some middle schooler trying to give a handy and getting too rough with the balls
Instead you're spending money on stuff you don't want and then complaining about it on a Viennese cheesemaking blog.
For those in the US who can't wait any longer, I have found the whole Batman range along with the CMFs for sale at the nearby LEGO Store (Westfield San Francisco Centre).
The new Nexo sets were there too, including the Battle Suits and shield packs. I didn't check which other 2017 sets had been put up.
>>6092191
Fun fact, you can get minifigures for free from Target. They aren't heavy enough to register, so you can just grab one with another item, scan the other item, and put both of them in the bag
>>6092277
Unfortunately some of us are grownups and have to worry about the ramifications of getting busted for shoplifting children's toys. Luckily we can also afford to buy them, and we're intelligent enough to feel for the ones we want.
Your advice of "kek just steal them bro" is pretty good, though.
>>6092323
It's not stealing, it's a feature of self checkout lanes. Like how all produce costs as much as russet potatoes, or how you can just take stuff if you leave it in the cart and nobody notices.
I threw out all my legos when I was 12, and now i wish I had them because you just can't touch video games the way you do blocks.

Lego kart racing sets that are either linked to or released alongside a proper successor to Lego Racers. Easily less than 15$ unless there's multiple cars in one set. Crossovers from new and old lego lines a must.
Would love to see that kind of celebration of all the company's IPs in a single product again. Failing that, have a proper Rocket Racer fig in a cmf line or something.

Instead of the 1x4 bricks you've got running sideways, use the 1x4 bricks with SNOT studs on the sides.

"Flat" means "the price doesn't change".
>>6097800
That guy wasn't contributing to the flaming. He was basically dropping te act like you and ceasing the trolling. And he likes dick I guess.
>>6098220
I kinda feel like it would work better with yellow cheese though
>>6098140
Are those sculptures by Tim Burton?
And awesome job shaping the bar like a bat.
>>6098140
I really want that Starfire minifig. Are those exclusive to the Batman mystery bags or are they in a set?
>>6098516
from jokerland, pic related
>>6093293
I'd love for them to get the Nick license back.
Start with some TMNT and Avatar blind bag series.
Start a general Nicktoons line for some general Nick sets, Spongebob, Danny Phantom, the Loud House, etc.
Aside from that REALLY hoping for a Scott Pilgrim LEGO Dimensions set or two.
>>6098539
thanks
That's actually a nice set but I don't collect Bat stuff. Though I might order Starfire from bricklink. Also that's a pretty good Beast Boy.
>>6093293
I wish they would do some military sets. Maybe GI Joe or something like that. But honestly I'd like to see them get a license from Boeing or Lockheed, or some other military contractor. Or hell just sell creative boxes with military colored bricks. My dream theme is military construction and transportation equipment. Things like pic related, maybe a military train set. It doesn't need to be guns and bombs but I would like to see those as well. There's clearly a market desire for this stuff but those PC Danes will probably never do this. Same reason they shy away from doing oil related sets now.
>>6098617
they will never, ever do this m8 and you know it, and it has nothing to do with LEGO being PC
>>6098617
At least, that truck doesn't look too difficult to build.
>Or hell just sell creative boxes with military colored bricks.
That would be nice. The basic Lego green kind of sucks for military, and I don't even have any olive drab.
>>6098678
>it has nothing to do with LEGO being PC
What are you talking about? I'm not even saying it's a bad thing, but it's totally about being PC. Lego was scolded not that long ago when Greenpeace photo shopped an image to show an official oil drilling set. This stuff pisses people off. It's stupid but it's true.
>>6098617
I wouldn't call it PC but PR
The ones who are PC are the consumers. They should just switch to MAC
Would this work irl? If not, how else would I achieve it
>>6098810
That's probably true. Parents are a very volatile demographic.
>>6098819
It sorta works but why not use pic related?
>>6098824
oh shit, didn't know that existed. whats the part number / name?
>>6098828
part number 4274
Can lego games be considered beat-em-up/brawler, collect-a-thon, metroidvania platformers? Most of the gameplay --apart from simply clearing levels and beating up enemies-- is just,
"Okay, I need a character/vehicle with this ability to get to this area, but another specific character with a different ability to solve the puzzle therein, so I can get an item that either unlocks another character with new powers or allows me to give a vehicle new abilities," and so on.
>>6099722
>Can lego games be considered beat-em-up/brawler, collect-a-thon, metroidvania platformers?
For a brawler the fighting is too simple
And metroidvania (at least to me) implies at least some sort of rpg-elements (character progression) and an open world which requires a lot of backtracking (contrary to the extreme linearity of lego games)
I'd call them 3D platformer collectathons akin to Banjo-Kazooie
Opinions on 7661-1?
I really liked the hyperdrive booster ring thing in the prequel trilogy and I'm wondering if it's worth to get the set used? Anyone got any experience with it?
>>6099880
>And metroidvania (at least to me) implies at least some sort of rpg-elements (character progression)
you mean unlike Metroid? No, grabbing a few new weapons doesn't really count, if it did then a typical FPS has RPG elements.
>>6099946
First off you get more than just weapons in metroid games
But i agree rpg elements is maybe too much (which is why i wrote "elements" instead of full on "rpg-game" and tried to describe it as character progression)
Got an unexpected shipment of Christmas presents today. Among them was this gem that I've been ogling for the last two years.
I also got a sweet as fuck 60" tripod so I won't have to take fifty pictures that look like this before I get one good one
And finished!
This was a lot of fun to build!
>>6100565
That was the first picture taken with the tripod
Here are the extra pieces in the set
Cute little fez lamp in the upstairs apartment
Funny enough, I just ordered a fez in this color from cracklink a couple weeks ago
I love the way this chair is put together
>>6100574
That guage isn't an extra piece, it goes on the stove
>>6100581
>it looks like the Captain's chair
says my roommate. (She means Captain Kirk, of course.)
I think this connection is genius. I knew that studs fit inside of these style fences, and I've even used it in a couple builds, but this is really well-implemented.
>>6100584
Stove's already got one. The 1x1 printed pieces usually come with an extra (I know my Metalbeard came with a spare 1x1 padlock tile).
Here's what the inside looks like
Very cozy
Something I really like about this is that you can take out the outdoor eating area and expand the building to make it fill up more street length.
It also folds up neatly into this little building.
Something that caught my attention was the 1x2 yellow car door on the second floor under the fezlamp. When the building is unfolded it seems to imply a second-floor apartment, but when the building is folded up like this, there's a pair of ladders that run up the wall through both floors from near the stove (hard to see in the pic) right to that car door. I like to think it's a little pantry that the worker has to climb up the ladder to get things out of.
Anyway, this set is everything I hoped it would be and it is definitely not a disappointment. Very glad I finally got one, and I would absolutely get a second one if I found one cheap so I could pad it out like I know other anons here have done.
>>6089610
>>6089856
The Doors LEGO set when? I know it's a stretch, but I'd pay whatever amount to have my favorite band in LEGO form. But the question remains: what will they come with? I know a stage is the obvious choice, but from what performance?
>>6100633
Is it also going to come with a bunch of police minifigs and an alternate Jim legs with light flesh hips?
>>6100633
>my favorite band
This Anon is my friend now.

Anyone got the Tie Striker yet?
>>6093293
More realistic(ish) medieval sets like pic related.
>>6100865
fucking nostalgia man, i remember that this was one of the first things i got when i came out of my "dark ages", thinking that this was such detailed shit at the time. it's a nice set with a great facade but looking at it in retrospect, it's really only slightly more detailed than a current creator building
>>6099880
>Extreme linearity
I can see the standard levels falling into this, but the Dimensions Adventure Worlds and relatively open-world hubs of other games avert this.
Out for a cruise on new years eve
>>6100887
I still love it because it doesn't cheap out with those large castle wall/window/corner elements.
Also this set I regret not getting when it was available.
>>6100345
Your photos are prettyy great, I'm surprised you didn't have one all along.
And that's a neat set. I bought myself one for Christmas, still waiting to put it together.
>>6100919
How could we convince LEGO to do this, though?
Can't really prove there's a demand.
All we have is MOCs that are related and they have sales records.
Who knows how fast those two sets sold out compared to other sets.
>>6100925
Aye, the issue is that the only two sets following that kind of thing have both been relatively pricey (I think the mill was £60+?). Fingers crossed regardless.
>>6100944
Well, both sets also followed the rough pricing scheme of about 10 cents a piece, too.
That seems to be LEGO's standard at the moment.
>>6096968
It's brown with a sticker.
>>6093293
The X Files
Does anyone know the best way to organize pieces? I've got metric shit ton of legos in one gigantic bin and looking through it for specific parts is a pain in the ass for MOCs, share your ideas with me.
>>6100998
organize by type and size, don't bother sorting by color or you'll kill yourself
if you want you can group catergories, put the 2x3 plates with the 2x2s, put studs with 1x1 tiles, etc
>>6100998
divide them into categories by type, not by color
(unless you've got a limited quantity of something, like all my sand blue is in a separate box)
keep dividing until you've got enough categories that you can find everything easily, and the categories are small enough that you can look through each one easily
for example I'm redoing my sorting system now, and divided my 33-degree slopes into 1x3, 1x3 inverted, 2x3 and 2x3 inverted
then look around hardware stores and shit for decent looking storage, pic related
>>6101072
That's kindof what I'm looking for...modular storage...where'd you get the black shelf thing with the stuff? What's it called? What brand?
>>6101078
I don't know the brand, I picked it up from a Menards store last week. They've got a decent selection of these multi-drawer organizers, just look around big hardware stores and you'll find something decent.
pic related, I also have A just for minifigs, parts, swords and whatever.
Yay, I finally got a Batman!
Going to the Lego store tomorrow. which current modular set is the best one?
they see me rollin, they hatin'
>>6101241
Really cute!
>>6100899
Will we ever see the GOAT goat again?
>>6101261
If LEGO didn't secretly hate us they'd drop a goatherd w/GOAT goat in the CMF line.
I've noticed that about LEGO in my short time in the hobby. They sure like to do a cool piece and then use it sparingly. Regular big shark, CMF seagull and GOAT goat all come to mind.
Has anyone gotten the Nexo Knights blindbag?
I kindly request a photo of the checklist/pamphlet.
>>6100829
First part of my TIE fleet. Pretty sweet I'm just bummed they haven't put out more shoretroopers (Striker and the bunker)
>tfw only 3
>>6101570
Here you go. I'm not sure if it's widely known, but you only get one of each color per pack. I'm not sure if that's a good thing yet, because I got 2 packs and already got a double.
>>6096602
Is every set from 1990 to 2000 in this thing?
I'm tempted to get this set and rebuild the top half with traditional castle elements.
It's like a metal album cover
>>6102182
Do it anon, that sounds awesome.
>get Superman
>comes with stud gun with Kryptonite stud
>interesting paint texture
>>6102244
Official or bootleg? What set?
That looks like shit.
How is buying minifig blindbags from the Lego website? Are duplicates common?
>>6102263
Yes. I got 3 bananas out of 8 or so minifigs from Series 16
>>6102265
fuck
>>6102278
Honestly I still think it's worth it. I just ordered 9 of the new Batman minifigs.
>>6102265
I thought Banana Guy was one of the most common in the wave
What's the best Lego Batman Movie set under 30 bucks?
>>6102182
Would love to see that
>>6102320
Probably the Mr. Freeze one.
>Lego on Clearance Prices at TRU
>Dr. Who TARDIS for 40% off
>Old Nexo Knights for 40% off
>In-store pick up but not available to ship to home
>Every store in a 50km radius is sold out EXCEPT one.
>It's the shady part of the city
C'mon, anon needs a super late/very early Christmas Miracle
>>6080912
Considering people can't decide between "he's racist against blacks" and "he's racist against whites", I'm going to say: no, he's not.
Although he is guilty of mixing skin-tone minifigs with yellow minifigs, so that's a sin in itself.
>>6102263
I've always just ordered a few at a time and always end up with duplicates of at least one of them.
I try to feel them up before I open them so I can then return or exchange any I don't want or need.
>>6102182
go for it
>>6100998
Here's what I do
>bricks
>rails
>plates
>rail plates
>flat plates
>round pieces
>x1 pieces
>all slopes are seperated
>vehicle pieces
>architecture
>misc special pieces
These are put in their own boxes. Then separate by color.
Storage is the real problem. Things like >>6101096 work well but not if you have a shit ton to sort and store. I use something like pic related. Then put all of one type in the same drawer, then put the differing colors in ziplock bags
>>6102677
>Those turrets
>>6095346
kys faggot
It is done!
But it still sucks ;_;
Do i just buy more in-bulk legos, or just hit specific/large sets for items?
Bought this, did I goof?
Any bad things about it?
>>6104501
>did I goof?
Maybe
>Any bad things about it?
It is expensive for a car. Lots of good stuff about it though.
I watched Rogue One last night and now I want a LEGO set. Which one is the best? I want a Jyn or Andor minifig.
>>6098121
first time I went to a Lego store and filled my cup the guy working the register dumped it out and repacked it for me so it only took up about 2/3 of the cup and told me to go fill it back up, now I'm the guy who stands there connecting every piece so they take up less room
>>6104811
Either u-wing or battle on scarif. Both aren't that great though. Also battle on scarif only has jyn in imperial armor
>>6105180
Yea, I do the same now. I did rough math on it once. I figured that taking a few extra minutes was really worth the extra bricks.
>>6097306
It's not like modelmaking, just follow the instructions and you'll be fine
