Might work if that part in the hair isn't exposed by the cowl.
I also have his cousin with abnormally-high white printing that might work.
>>6065351
Can you please put the cowl all the way on so I can see how much of the hairband is visible? I can use that to eyeball how well this middle head will work.
>>6065390
Oh wait, I'm an idiot. The problem is the bottom of the white.
Any other suggestions for a workable yellow head are appreciated
>>6065390
>>6065360
Looks perfect
But red eyes actually do work quite nice
>>6065399
Wow, if that headband was in white I'd already have it ordered
>>6065404
sounds silly and its not legal, but well, have you tried using a piece of paper and just cover the eyes, so its not permanent, just a temporary solution?
>>6065412
I have enough classic heads with faded eye printing that I've been thinking about a more permanent solution.
>>6065359
Thanks senpai, I found it in extended mode.
Why is it only in extended? Any way to have it in regular? How can I convert builds from one to another?
Thank you.
>>6065417
honestly considering you will never see it without the cowl (since you can use any yellow head for Bruce), you might as well just paint some white on
>>6065420
Because LDD is annoying.
Your builds are just builds, you can switch between modes by clicking View > New Themes and selecting the one you want. The only difference is what parts are available in the menu on the left- standard mode includes a bunch of modern and semi-modern parts in a bunch of different colors, while Extended mode includes basically every part ever made bar a few especially old/unique/new ones. To make up for the list being so long in Extended, the parts are in red only and you just recolor them yourself once you place them.
Always use Extended. Standard mode is missing tons of useful shit and scrolling through fifty different colors of 2x4 bricks is retarded.
>>6065441
Speaking of building programs, how is Stud.io?
I've read that it has some nice gimmicks, as well as almost every part available, but it almost feels like too good to be true
>>6065442
Dunno, haven't used it yet and have only slightly paid attention to it.
>>6065441
Thank you again, I fiddled around with LDD in standard only and got annoyed as well.
Any way to change the all red in the left menu to different color?
>>6065448
Yes, just not by individual piece- click the second button from the lower left ('Filter bricks by color') and, counter-intuitive to what its description says, picking a color will make all the bricks in the menu in Extended mode show in that color instead.
New thread, new post about this giveaway. Four mildly altered CMFs, see >>6063703 for details
>add some things to the cart on one store on BL some time back but don't buy them because I didn't have money yet
>now I have the money, but the store is closed
I JUST WANT MY FUCKING LEGO
>>6065451
god's work, anon. Thanks.
Now that I am thinking about it; In standard mode, I build something from the available pool, looked up and ordered the bricks on bricklink, got it and finished my stuff.
But if I do it on extended, is there are chance that I'll create something with nonexistent/unbuyable color patterns? Hope you get what I mean.

>>6065462
>store has policy where you can claim all the parts you want and hold them for up to 7 days before you have to pay or release them
The best haircut
>>6065456
Unfortunately yes, and it's happened to me before (the upside down slope I was using didn't exist in that color so I had to do some trickery to flip half the build upside-down and use standard slopes that DO exist in that color). That's the tradeoff you make, though- easier building, but occasionally looking up parts to make sure they exist in a certain color.
Best way to do it I've found is just look up what colors exist for parts as you use them, so you don't have to rebuild everything later to use a different part- most common elements have tons of colors available so it's only specialized or depreciated parts you have to watch out for.

Didja get the brick daddy entry last thread?
>>6065404
Why do you want a yellow Batman anyway?
>classic space and similar themes were before my first entry into lego
>neat newer stuff came out in my dark ages
>finally get back into lego
>don't care for nexo knights or ninjago at all
>always wanted a Lego city as a kid, never had enough pieces
>now that I have disposable income I only get City and Creator stuff anyway (plus one or two Ideas sets) and only build at minifig-scale
>completely ignore all licensed sets
>just me, my trains and my buildings
Am I just boring?
>got Infernox captures the Queen for 16€

I did see the photo, too.
What is /lg/ building today? I am building a club out of all my old Paradisa parts.
>>6065482
you might want to look at Brickwarriors, they have some decent looking trench coats.
>>6065494
I fucking hate phone posting so much.
>>6065465
That, and using any parts from Extended makes it impossible to upload to Bricklink as a wanted list.
>>6065494

I did pack one BL order, so there's that.

>Am I just boring?
Well, anon, that depends. Are there any MOCs in that town? Then you're only ~15% boring.
If not, I got bad news
So, even though I found the movie to be abysmal, the design of the BvS Batwing has me intrigued.
I think the official Lego version looks kinda ass though. I have done some searching for decent mocs, but they all look like butt too.
Does anyone have any pics of good mocs. I want to make pic related, but could use a good jumping off point.

No, that's my Hausfu.
I also made some further adjustments to my Camaro, but they might be a bit hard to see. It had a really distracting gap behind the rear fenders, i gave it better wheels and rims and it now has different dual exhausts. The only thing i want to change is give the rear tires also the black speed champions wheel-wells and use a corner 1x1 panel piece behind the doors so even figures with very long hair can sit in the front-seat. Then i should be done with it for a while

Oh, shooty tank, not fill-with-liquid-or-gas tank.

>>6065724
They consist of part no. 55982 for the rims and the slightly narrower speedchampions tires.
In the front i use two gray half technicpins half technic axles. These don't roll too well, but i need the centre two studs between them for structure.
But In the rear I don't have that problem. So I use two 3 long technic axles i connect with eachother through a technic axle connector in the middle as an axle. This setup rolls very very smoothly, so it kinda evens out the less smooth ride of the front wheels overall.
Using the technic axle might seem a bit unnecessary, but the only technic axles that are gray are uneven lenghts. Since the rims show the tip of the colour of the axles through i needed them to be the same colour as the pins i use in the front. Those pins only come in tan blue and old gray, regular axles only come in white black red and bley. So technically the front rim tip cross is a slightly different gray than the ones in the back, but it is hardly noticable in such an obscure place.

me again, I figured out the uploading thing (really convinient, I was dumb before and manually picked each part)
but I have another question; how does the site know which file is in from standard or which from expanded?
Altrenatively, or more importantly, how do I know which one from the file is not in the catalog? Because, I tried to upload a set with a canon piece (only in extended) and site accepted it.
Is it a good idea to buy legos off of craigslist?
>>6065974
I've only done it once. Turned out the guy was selling them for his son who was 16 and wanted gas money. For somewhat below typical prices too. Happened to also be a professor at the school I was going to at the time.

What sets have you guys found on sale for christmas thatyouboughtforyourself /lg/?
Just had an anon in /co/ dislike the UCS Tumbler from the Nolan Batman trilogy because it has too many studs?
Do people actually dislike Lego sets because of too many studs?
It's made out of Lego. If you want a model that's stud free, then why not get a regular model?
>>6066023
'66 batcave
>>6066023
Walmart had the Olaf polybag that I couldn't find anywhere earlier this year. $4 was just as good as I was going to find online. Not exactly on sale, but for sale.
>>6066059
I think it might be a fair criticism of something that is supposed to be sleek (SNOT was invented for a reason) but honestly the Tumbler looks fine? The only bad thing I've heard about it is that it's fragile.
You don't want some studs, buy a model kit. That thing would have been so much harder to design with no studs (or it would be bulkier because they'd slap plates all over it).
>>6066059
Most vehicles don't have studs over them so having a lot of studs clutters the model's overall look especially for a design thats already pretty complex
I think studs are fine myself, but I can see why someone wouldn't like it for something thats supposed to be a smooth metal
is this a bug? The structure in the center is definitely legal, right? Why does stud.io report it as an impossible build? Should I report this?
>>6066059
As much as I hate the Neo-Classic Space guys, I do agree with them that studs are not aerodynamic.
>>6066098
It's absolutely a legal build, I distinctly remember making that exact combination of parts all the time as a kid.
>>6066098
>Should I report this?
A beta tester, it would be rude not to
>started the software only twice to get a look at it and update
>first order of business was to write a script for raping the price guide data
>>6066106
me too, that's why I thought it was so strange. "Have I been making illegal builds all my life?" i thought.
>>6066059
I'll have to admit that my builds now are more and more smoothed out. But the occasional studded surfaces are totally fine. Especially when you want to be able to put stuff or pose minifigures somewhere with out it falling or sliding off all the time.

How does this look as a gift / potential christmas ornament? The only thing I don't like is the gaps in the tiles so you can see the base, but there's no helping that.
>>6066369
If those angles are 45 each, why not just make it a single 90 and rotate the shelf. That would let you fill the gaps. Also, I'd run a beam down the back to sure up the shelf to the base. The one downside I see is that it probably will hang weird.
>>6066369
As a gift it's nice looking, but my Christmas ornaments often don't hang perfectly vertical, and they can sometimes spin, which may make it look weird. I'm not sure that such a piece will work as an ornament. More of a shelf decoration. Comfy scene though, a fireplace would make it perfect!
Are we going to see some new Dalek builds?
>>6066380
>>6066385
Hanging weird was one of my worries, it's why I tried to at least make the center of mass the middle, but yeah the crate-o-books on the right is definitely not going to offset the armchair.
My mom loves christmas ornaments. I've made a desk ornament for my dad, just didn't know if my mom would have a place to put it when it wasn't the holidays.
Also, the angles are 36.66 degrees, I used a bit of the build elements from the Sanctum Sanctorum to help get started on this faster. Not totally original, but I have to have it in time for Christmas.
Related, desk ornament for my disc golf fanatic dad. With... physics defying chains, couldn't figure out for the life of my how to force LDD to make them not static.

>>6066369
You could use some angled plates/wedges to atleast partly fill in those triangular gaps.

>>6066399
To trigger /pol/ for those delicious salty latent homosexual tears.
>>6066443
The base is made out of large angled plates, so I'm currently working with smaller ones to see how much I can minimize it.
It doesn't help that LDD isn't updated with the 1x2 ones that are new, but I don't even know if those are molded in reddish brown yet.
>>6066445
Alright, looks like this is the best I'm gonna get. Definitely cut back on a lot of gaps, and now it's nice and angled. Added a small back wall to hold the model together (hinges in the back will keep it from opening, since the only hinges beforehand were in the front)
>>6065974
I buy and sell things on Craigslist all the time. It's not really a big deal. You can meet them somewhere or just go to their house. The urban legend that people want to kill you is just as stupid as razor blades in candy apples.
I bought 2 huge shopping bags full of bricks for $40 last week. The trick is keeping up with the postings and catching the dumb parents/GFs who don't know how much Legos are actually worth. Though I would suggest using local resale apps instead of CL like 5Miles, LetGo, and OfferUp. CL is going directly into spam folders lately and making communication impossible. Check it once a day and snag some amazing deals my dude.
>>6066389
Whoa. Special appearance by Capaldi when?
>>6066526
I like that a lot. Do you plan on making a minifig to sit and read in the chair? I hope you share a few pics of it built up when you finish.
>>6066563
Last Christmas, I gifted each member of my family a minifig I modeled after them, so this is kind of intended for them to use if they wanted to. Or I could make them a dupe for it so they won't have to take theirs off the family shelf.
I'd do a fireplace, but this is based on a room in our house with white bookshelves, and the fireplace isn't there.
>>6066568
It would be really neat to build up the entire house with a base to connect them on. Over time you could build the rest of the house as gifts. Just like a series of small scenes that combine.
>>6066574
That's a great idea, next year it'll make it a bit easier because it can be for both my folks (a larger room) instead of me making a MOC for each of my parents.
>>6066587

welcome to another episode of This Piece Broke Just Sitting Around, God Damnit Lego
>>6067121
Jesus Christ, the memes are real.
Get it fucking together, Lego. Fuck the chinks and stop this shit.
Has anyone ever owned one of those books people get leaks from?
>>6067128
Retailer catalogues?
>>6067102
>why HASN'T there been any Nintendo lego sets?
Pretty sure it's Nintendo themselves. I remember supporting three different Zelda projects on LEGO Cuusoo/ Ideas which got 10.000 votes but were never made. And since Nintendo has a habit of making stupid business decisions and undervaluing their own products and Lego has partnered up with a lot of different properties (SEGA!), I believe Nintendo is to blame here.
>>6066402
If I was color blind I would just kill myself.
>>6067144
If you're a male, chances are you're at least partially colorblind.
We need this...
>>6067154
...and this.
NOW
>>6067134
Yeah those. I've never seen anyone on here post one, can you buy them?
Could somebody please post those billboards that lego quest guy made.
Anyone have any idea how to make this into a minifigure? someone posted a pic a while back on how they did theirs but I can't seem to find the pic, they used the golden astronaut face part for the head.
>>6067181
They're probably still in the archive. Just search back a few threads.
>>6065721
I think I need that red hood.
>>6065721
I could be wrong here, but I think he put Cat Man's belt on upside down and possibly backwards??
>>6067138
Would a sonic green hil zone lego set ever work, because itd be cool
>>6067102
Wasn't there Nintendo mega blocks?
Who's shit idea was that?
Also making characters into mini figures can distort them to the point where they just look bad (spongebob) so I can see why they strayed away from it, but they're also mostly human characters so who knows
If there ever was a line of Nintendo sets I'd kill for a Disney castle sized peach castle or bowsers castle
>>6067228
I saw k'nex mario minifigs at walmart the other day
>>6067223
Did you think people that "reviewed" lego sets are smart?
I honestly don't see how it's even a thing, most sets you can tell if they're good or not by just looking at them
>>6067231
But how will you know if the build is fun or unique or not
>>6065494
I'm building a "submarine" that will only be able to actually swim on the surface, however i lack around 2/3rds of black bricks i needed, so I'll have to use blues, or order them, also missing angled pieces to smooth out the front
Bonus points to whomever can date the clocks on the engine.
I am considering buying myself the 1996 trains for Christmas

>>6067252
If I were you, I'd implement one of those old school weighted ballast pieces they used to include in boats (so it doesn't capsize)

I used those ballast pieces with the chunk of metal in them in lego battering rams.
>>6067051
It's not a sasage, it's a piece of tubing.

Right, they're extremely rare. If you use the old brown from before the colour change (no idea what it's called) it should be cheaper though. Or you just use tan

If you like building with red, I have the shoppe for you. I got a bunch of red parts from a pick a brick and was inspired to make a potion shop. Basically everything red in the build was from the PaB. The potions, papers, figs, windows, door, and a few parts of the sign were things I had. That leaves the walls, floors, and shelves. I decided to build each wall separately so I could remove them for posing and pictures. I discovered that I'm criminally low on health potions. Got lots of mana potions though. It might need a roof, but I'm out of red bricks.

I can picture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35M7xhA-oVo being played constantly.
>>6068316
daww, thanks anon
Since those pictures i indented the taillights by one plate so they don't stick out as much and also experimented by using a 1x2 grille piece over a 1x2 transred brick to simulate the taillights in two horizontal partitions (but then the sides of the trans plate are visible from the side sadly, so i added trans-orange 1x1 bricks to double as blinkers for the taillights AND double as added sidepanel blinkers in my wanted list. There is also room for 1x1 sidepanel blinkers in the front of the car, so it might look good)
These tail-light solutions also forced me to remove the 1x2 stickered tile with "Camaro" on it, but after googling around 1969 z/28 Camaros didn't even have a badge like that, so it's ok i guess. It does have two exposed studs on the back now, but covering it will just look overly bulky.
I also not only ordered those two speed-champions wheelwells, but parts for redoing the interior completely in white too.

I guess when it's the only color, my camera can figure it out. The red potions are a tad hard to make out at some angles. The music has to come from somewhere, so I might need to find a music potion to add in.
>>6068374
i posted it here
>>6065671
Only the tail-lights are now grille pieces flush with the back surface of the spoiler and with trans red behind them. The camaro badge is also gone to expose the top of the snotbricks that are also flush with the rest.
I'm sorry, but i can't take a pic now.
Can't set up proper lighting now and my camera is out of juice. I should also get my ass on finishing my paper that is never gonna get done before the deadline tomorrow and oh god it's 7:12 in the morning already fuck.

>>6069062

>>6069062
How are you attaching the front piece to the wings, with hinge plates? You may need to reinforce it there, but I'm a stickler for sturdiness.
Also, I think you should try to keep the lead wing as thin as possible. I'm not really sure how the Batwing is supposed to work (never saw BvS or anything), so I don't really know what the lead wing's Technic gear assembly is trying to emulate, but perhaps a smaller gear (to keep the wing profile thin) might work better.
Great work man, looks like a challenging build, to be sure!
This is probably one of the only times I'll post here, because I usually only buy megabloks sets, but I figured I'll post this here because it's Lego.

Fuck, especially the first bag where it's building a fuckhuge base with technic bricks and I fucking hate technic. Then it's all over the place, I thought it would focus in one area but it makes you place shit everywhere. Probably the most challenging set I've built, still easy enough to build though.
This made me a bit worried about the two modulars I bought, they will probably be harder.
>>6069082
In BvS the Batwing has wings that fold up when it is parked. I am not worried about having mine do that.
The front of mine is actually really sturdy. I was surprised when I finally got everything connected.
Looking at the photo I posted though, I think I made the wings too big. The cockpit looks small now. I might elongate the cockpit section slightly to allow more detail, but I will not make it wider because the width is perfect.
As a side note, the technic gears for the engines and wings on the official model, although beautifully complex, is ridiculously oversized and looks nothing like the engines in the movie.
>>6069105
>I have been told that it does require you to disassemble the old builds to make the next

So like, instead of posting without any kind of info, lets take your impatience and do something with it. Find the Target DCPI for the sets and check brickseek for any stores with them. You can also find walmart SKUs and do the same. I'll even help you with the info I've got. J2G and several other people have found Batman CMFs at targets. J2G is in Florida if i'm not wrong.
So TLDR:
>2017 sets when
Now, but not everywhere
>>6068895
cmf crazy catlady hair
or the lavender Lego Elfs minidoll hair
Disney cmf maleficent head
Ninjago scarf bandana (but i'm not sure if they fit with these hairpieces since i don't have any, but the old western scarfs i'm 100% don't)
>>6069303
Don't think i ever bought one. I was just so bummed out about the flesh ears on the hairpieces. I'm not such a fan of the style of prints either (wich is a shame, because the dragons look ok otherwise) and the amount of tan bricks. I did get a lot of those purple and lavender foliage pieces though, those are absolutely dope.
But otherwise the sets are pretty good, provide actual diverse structures and probably fun to play with.
>>6069404
Because I was bored and also slightly wrong, I'm going to quickly update my post. First, 204-00-1379 is the CMF DPCI. It's the same as all CMFs in Target's computers. That's fun. Also, J2G says he got his off E-bay. So, maybe just do the E-bay thing if you need 2017 sets ASAP.
>>6069096
looks like an advent calendar set, i think you're supposed to build a new thing every day in december. you're running late!
>>6069303
i like some and have bought a few Friends and Elves sets. i don't like the pastel colors, but those aren't hard to replace or ignore.
the mini dolls or whatever theyre called are fine by me. i'm surprised some people are so hateful of them. some of the hair pieces are pretty good.
Just tallying up entries so far. Got all of (you)s including the incomparable weed fuehrer.

If it helps you feel better, make an offhand comment to the cashier like "Oh, I'm glad you guys had this! My niece/nephew's gonna flip!"

Fucking sweet carmobile, anon!
I want to build this now. Put some fins on it and BAM another Batmobile.

Great, added. I love your cars and town scenery by the way.

It's the Options field now and aside from saging, it's pretty much useless anywhere outside of the boards with built-in dicerolling features.
Update to my Mages room!!

Nice place. I see that limo part on the bookshelf.

I go for the casual "What's your return policy?" or a "I can get a refund if it's the wrong one, right?" But only if the cashier is being weirds about it. Maybe one in a dozen times do I even say more than a casual greeting and something about how upsetting chip readers are.

not really anon, I gotta be honest and say that sounds pretty cringingly fake

just because your hobbies might be unusual doesnt mean you cant get laid anon
Ok, so on bricklist I have my "wanted" list of all parts that I actually own, now how do I somehow export that, they are not all orders, some are others, some are sets. It seems with legos, if you dont get sets, you are severely punished or something. I cant even import to brickset because some of them are not actual official lego sets, they are creations of people.
>>6069659
Bricklink NEEDS to add an inventory. Also I picked up 3x Lego Knights figs and few blocks that comes with them for $5.00 each, not bad. They were @ ross.
>>6069665
the yellow part is shopped
I can tell because of some pixels
>>6069665
The bottom three yellow blocks are all the same block that's been shopped three times.
If you look closely, they all have the same scratch on the right side.
New bread when?

I never knew I needed that until now. Neat!

I would start a new thread, but I'd probably mess it up and make a cuck edition or something.

Yeah, I guess. I only say it when it's true (I have nephew's).
I'm no help because I d-don't give a fuck what people think, mostly because I know they have their own shit to deal with in life and aren't focused on what I'm buying.

Its a Great Advent Calendar from this year. You could get it free from Lego.

Hey!
Can someone fill me in in which Lego Star Wars sets are coming out in the next wave? I think at least the names are already leaked. Can I get some link or a vid?
