How? You'd need not just new parts but some new bots as well. The thing is, CW is NOT G1. It's loosely based on G1 but the actual physical models are different. Haphazardly gluing on some extra crap to try and make it look G1 doesn't really work. It's half-assed at best.

there is only shells for dinoforce and their monstructor/dinoking is based on the IDW version. but fp has really been going downhill since their warbots.

Granted, we don't know if the Monstructor release will or won't have shells. There are small groups of people yapping Monstructor is cancelled or there's no shells, but FP never gives information like that until the first figure is dropped on us, meaning it's just complete speculation as per usual.

The last we heard they were looking into smaller shells, hence their teaser art showing them off.

Will it pan out? We really don't have any idea. They're still trying to finish up Dinoking. Two legs missing, two shells for preorder and still no teasers for the last two.

As for being based on IDW, Dinoking isn't. Their representatives at TFCon and the like have expressed interest in doing an IDW head for Monstructor, but the fall back seems to be shared heads between the two.

Guys, I think something is wrong with my Galvatronus. I can stick limbs into the leg connectors but they won't hold, meanwhile nothing fits in the arm connectors. Worst of all his combiner head is missing!

Some old PoS handmedown digital camera. AFAIK the lens on it is fine, but it seems to never agree with any amount of light I give things. Always too dark which makes photos come out grainy as shit, or I need to break out the flash which also makes things look like shit.

With premium collectables early adopters can get UW releases (and platinum editions-some you can't get here even) far cheaper than anyone else, and even if we used the likes of HLJ we STILL beat what local retail could ever promise, god people are stupid.

So you have to open the torso, you'll have to remove the pins on the chest, that could be worse if you don't know how to do it, just wedge the legs into the crotch removing the ratchet bits, it will still stand with friction, won't be perffect but will serve as a remider to not be so careless again.


if you get stress marks after wedging in the legs use a hairdraier or heat gun to remove them, 1-2 inches away and 5 min at a time until they disapear.

I assume you are unable to reassemble the crotch of your Prime? I had the exact issue happen with my copy of the mold a few months ago.

I took apart my Motormaster a while back to fuck with the front/back hip ratchets. What you're gonna have to do to free the crotch parts is knock a large pin out from prime's abdomen (the part the abs hinge on when turning into a truck). That should free up some stuff. On the rest of the newly exposed parts of the lower half, there's some weird ass clip. I dremeled some away myself and when reassembled, it didn't visually affect bot or combined mode.

You could also try using a blowdryer.

I think reassembling the crotch of my motormaster in the end, however, mostly involved me gently wedging the crotch open and putting everything back together. And I have stumpy thumbs, so unless you're worse off, you should be okay.

You might not even need to dremel that clip bit, but it may help for full disassembly.

TFA is my favorite transformers show. the style really did bug me at first. Then I gave the show a real shot and it grew on me. It fits the tone of the writing.

The transformers show CGI has always been rough. The beast era was full of those awkward moments all early and low budget CGI has with the silence and prolonged shots for no reason.

Prime was better, but felt stiff. The Magnus versus predaking fight was pretty awesome though.

Energon and cybertron were rough because it felt like they just took the toys and did incredibly smooth stop motion.

RID animation, imo, is the best CGI they've been able to do BUT its also pretty stylized. I like the mixture of the 2D backgrounds and such.

Detailed animation is easy to fuck up, and animation is cranked out in places where speed is valued most of all, and not everyone can draw that well. You know why Bruce Timm made the BTAS designs simpler in later seasons? Because he got upset that they kept getting back crappy animation from certain studios, so he made the designs easier to draw.

After attending one of the panels featuring the TF:Prime production team, I wonder if CGI animation is really cheaper/easier. Apparently TF: Prime was some sort of production hell since the start. Polygon was the only bidder. The main hurdle was generating the 3D assets and it's especially worse for transformers since each of them needed 3 detailed models (robot, mid-transform, alt mode). That's why you see them employ so many tricks in Beast Wars, Energon and TF:Prime to keep the asset count low

As someone that owns both KOs and legits it's more of a gamble at first.
many are at that 90%+ quality but you can hit some that are straight in the gutter and feel like a KO

regardless quality issues exist in the legit ones as well so it really boils down to how much onr cares about where it came from and how returns and exchanges work.
