That is cute, and a really cool thing for Mattel to do.
I'm raising my eyebrow over the fact that they have the 'daughter of Zeus' meeting Deuce though. I think he'd be the last person to want to talk to her.
"So, how's your sister Athena? She ruining the lives of other people your uncle Poseidon molested?"
Some of the old Dead Tired and Swimsuit dolls are getting re-released.
Chogokin thread?
It's time

Seems legit, honestly.
Is it weird that I kinda want to go just to see sad divorced dads looking at depleted shelves, seeing only a couple Black Series Finns and Marvel Legends Patsy Walkers?

I feel bad for the poor employees having to work that late on Christmas Eve. I did 12-8pm today and that was bad enough.
I drove past my TRU today and the parking lot was packed when usually there's like three cars there

Sup /toy/soilders? Jin Saotome here. It's been a while but I thought I'd drop back in and say hi for a few months. Honestly I've missed you guys and still tear up about the awesomeness that would ensue when I was mentioned.
Anywhoo, who the hell is Greg and why does he keep emailing me? This brickgnawer seems fairly unhinged and sends me emails from diff accounts claiming he's diff people, each one apologizing for Greg emailing me like they somehow knew Greg was mailing me. This unwashed greasefactory has unmistakable fingers and a pimple ridden visage full of rage and shame. The look in Greg's eyes denote sentience but not intelligence so I doubt he's capable of doing harm to anything but his own penis from over handling.
Do any of you /toy/soldiers have war stories about this guy? What am I in for? I honestly wasn't even thinking of /toy/ until he started emailing me. But hey, now that I'm here I might as well stick around and see what's changed since mootles bailed.
Pic related, its gonna be CW Warpath.

>third-party gregposting
>>5358245
Greg is some autistic shitposter who hates Hasbro for some reason related to "5POA GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!" which is ironic considering half of his collection is 5POA garbage from goodwill. He refuses to buy anything better quality than Hasbro because anything over $20 is "OVERPRICED FILTH!!!!". He also has some raging vendetta against 6" scale.
He also eats shit.
>>5358245
>But hey, now that I'm here I might as well stick around
pls don't.
go and stay go
I am looking for a toy that was a van, the size of a large shoe box. It folded open into a city for mini cars. I think it was a desert scape???
I'm thinking anywhere from 1990-1995 I can't recall when I received it, this was 20 years ago. If anyone can help me. Thanks!!!
Pic not related
Super Van City?
From Micromachines.
>>5358234
Yaaaaaasssssss thanx!!!!!
>Muh childhewdz
>>5358235
No probs. Had the same one when I was wee.
Was fucking awesome.
Hey /toy/ just wondering if someone could explain this to me.
I bought a friend this figure for her birthday:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-POP-Monkey-D-Luffy-Battle-Ver-Figure-Japan-Anime-One-Piece-Loose-Hot-Gift-/121760339597?hash=item1c597b568d:g:v8oAAOSwEetV97qs
And after purchasing I noticed that the description says "Unbranded" but other places say the brand is Figuarts. So did a buy a bootleg or something? The pics online look really good but I suspect they're off the Figuarts version, does anyone happen to have pictures of what I assume is a bootleg so I can make sure the quality is alright? Or am I over analyzing things and this is the figuarts version?
Thanks for your help. I don't buy figures too often so I didn't even realize bootlegging was potentially a thing
Most likely a bootleg for that price, sorry OP.
>>5358229
Thanks, how much worse in quality do bootlegs tend to be?
I feel like a fool, I thought the POP was that brand that makes those bobblehead shaped figures.
>>5358220
Coming to /toy/ with statue shit. There is your first mistake.
some new funko news
>>5358018
That six inch line sounds interesting not sure about the "classic toy line" line though, hopefully it won't be like reaction style garbage.
>>5358241
Maybe 'classic toy line' means something between the Reaction and the Legacy figures in articulation. Can't think of any 6" scale figures of yesteryear that fit that criteria off the top of my head right now, though.
>>5358018
How did Funko get so big? It feels like in the space of a couple of years at best they've gone from literally who to some powerhouse monopoly holding all the licences to everything and pumping out billions of products.
Anyone getting this? I'm on the fence but I think it looks really cool. Can anyone with the Mezvo Judge Dredd figure let me if its worth the money or not?
>>5358012
I don't have that Cursed Earth Dredd, not sure if it's even out, but I have the normal Mezco one. I just got it about a week ago and I'm liking it a lot. To me it was worth the money, but I buy a lot of imports and chogokins anyways so the $68 I paid wasn't a big factor in my decision making.
On the plus side, it's exactly what I would want from Dredd. It looks imposing, the (lower) face is literally perfect, it can get into good firing poses, and comes with cool features. Every feature that they went for turned out perfectly, from the small magazine pouch on the back of his belt to the magnetized shoulder pads.
On the negative side, it feels a lot stiffer than the Mezco Batman particularly in the torso and the movement of the hips (though I'm fairly certain they have identical underlying articulation), and for some reason they chose to ever so slightly weather the standard release's helmet which I would have preferred they didn't do because you don't really have that degree of weathering anywhere else. It just kind of sticks out and looks more like a QC error of factory paint smear than an intentional decision, but I went to various online review sites and confirmed that everyone has it on their's.
I will say that upon superficial observation, Dredd seems "lighter" in load out than the Batman I got (the PX version), but the more I think about it the more I realize that Dredd actually comes with quite a bit more content than Batman. You have to look beyond the accessories and realize that the magnetic parts and zippered outfit push it to a level of production difficulty that Batman never had. So if you felt like Batman was worth it, Dredd definitely is too.
>>5358053
Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna go for the cursed earth batman. Pretty sure it released around the end of December so ill pick it up and see what it's like
>>5358095
I mean Dredd, not Batman. Shit.
>not one Merghy Crabmas thread
