Just wondering, but why do so many anons on this board collect action figures or toys with joints? I understand posing and being able to manipulate a scaled copy of a character people enjoy, but what draws the majority here to discuss it more?

Because there's really nothing to talk about statues except for paint and sculpt. And then they just sit there for you to ogle on. With articulation usually there's an art of compromise, and then there will be some botched articulation like for example this guy's wrist

Statues are not really toy anyway, because by definition you need to be able to "play" with your toy.

They would not be action figures without joints, senpai...

is this an action figure?

I bought my Mankanshoku 2 Star Nendroid a while back, but it fell off the shelve, snapping the hinge at the jacket. I was thinking about drilling a hole to insert a small metal rod, but I'm not sure that'll work. Any advice?

Random question, but has anyone ever experienced or reported GPS with Transmetals Sonar?

I bought one a few days ago in a fit of nostalgia, but I worry about her plastic. She was always a favorite as a kid, but I long ago lost several of her pieces and then the entire toy. Having her in had again and I still like it just as much. Maybe I'll do a repaint of TR Mindwipe as Sonar.

Chav Hip Hoptimus is best Optimus T B H

Prove me wrong
Pro tip: You can't

I was wondering if /toy/ could help me out finding a toy here.

basically it looked similar to the blue senturion (pic related) except the toy was all black and had a circular door on its chest

this one also had motorized walking and had heavy linkages in its legs, which were in turn quite thick

can anyone help me find it? some bullies smashed mine when i was a kid and i never found that toy anywhere else

Hey, im the anon who had a thread about dragons and such. Then took acid and went on a shopping spree. An anon asked for pics when I got my stuff, so here is the mega blocks dragon, the revoltech tigrex, and the mcfarlane game of thrones blinde bag dragon, I had ordered the deanarys figure that comes with a baby dragon but the guy on ebay never messaged me or shipped it at all. Had to get my money back I have another ordered.

So cool monster general

Also I should mention this is my first revoltech, and I love it, starting to look at other revoltech figures now. I also ordered 70 joints for customs

I have had these figures for over 20 years my uncle gave them to me when I was little. Can someone please tell me where they are from. I have been wondering that ever since I got them. All they say is hasbro 1990 to 1991

I always see iron man toys being produced and i want to understand what makes one better than another. To me they look almost exactly the same with some MINOR cosmetic differences. I understand articulation discrepancies but I hear people always talking about the "best suit" which I don't get. Please explain what the differences are in terms of sculpt/accessories/what-have-you that makes one iron man better than another (in your opinion)

>tldr;
What's the fucken big deal between different iron men.

Now that we're in May, I'm way too hyped for Titan Returns stuff to be in shelves, much more than Combiner Wars. They better come out soon. At least give me one thing now to hold me over.

I remember when he first came out, reading a lot of reports of his legs breaking off right out of the packaging.

Randy acknowledged there was a problem with the plastic/molding in the first batch and offered replacements to people who got duds.

If you're going to buy one I'd say buy it from somewhere that has a no-bullshit return/refund policy like TRU, just in case.
>>
Owned two of them, when the first broke the eBay seller gave me a replacement, broke that one too. Was too pissed to bother messaging the seller so I threw the figure in the trash after breaking the rest of it's limbs off in a fit; still want one and I have seen the Chinese ones, not sure if they're any good or not. I doubt it.

I am trying to find the Chinese manufacturer of a brand of diecast model aircraft I've come across in the Philippines. All I know is they are made in China -- that logo is the only slightly identifying item on the box. I want to see what other options this manufacturer has. I'll post images of the box below.

Out of curiosity, where do you guys get to see the latest figure previews and scans of magazines? Robots, figmas, statues, etc...? Tag Hobby seems to be really slacking these past couple of months.

I'll be honest and probably get cruicified, but reddit's anime figures sub is great for previews. They have shit taste but they regularly have posts with a whole list of info on new announcements and releases

No, it's just a scam to trick overzealous parents into paying money for a block of wood and some string.
