I just bought a bag o' Revoltech Neon Genesis Evangelion figures for buck from a thrift store.
Problem is they are coated in sticky ganja resin from the previous owner, which makes them hard to pose.
What's the best way to clean these guys?

It's not resin bro. Older Revoltechs with glossy paintjobs (like those Evas) get sticky over time. It's a problem with whatever paint or topcoat Kaiyodo used to use. You can wash them off and stuff with soap and water, but they'll never be completely unsticky. Sorry.

I have a lot of nostalgia for these War Planets toys. Post as much pics as you can of these toys and other similar toys such as Mighty Max.
Also I would like to know more about War Planets. I had a few of the planets and figures, including that deathstar like giant metal one but even back then they were mostly a mystery to me. For some reason I liked them though. I had these around the time I was beginning to stop playing with toys so I never got around to getting more of them. They remind me a lot of army men only with aliens and more colorful.

Here is one of the planets I had. I also had the ice one and maybe one other of the small ones. I know for sure I had two small ones and the deathstar one. If I remember correctly I think you could also buy the little figures separately to.

I mean I kind of do know why I have a stronger nostalgia for these toys then most other toys I had but I don't want to bother boring anyone. Especially not to start a thread. These things look so cool that they look perfect as decorative items to me.

I'm trying to organize a medieval style battle in my yard with some kids (14-21 sic!) Need help with the design of the swords that will be 99% cardboard.
At work i can make any shape i wish with a cutting laser but the damn things need to be study enough to last 1 battle(day) so i wont be called a cheapscake :)
Need some ideas in how to construct them and what the max lenght should be.

I would suggest buying $1 foam swords at the dollar store. They may also have $1 foam shields, or $1 foam paddleboards that just needs arm straps.
IMHO, cardboard weaponry strong enough to last several battles would probably be hard enough to hurt little kids.

After meeting my girlfriend who happened to like collecting toys, I decided to get back into the hobby I gave up when I was younger. I had always visited 4chan's other boards and had seen the /toy/ board before. So I decided coming here would be a good way to see what toe of toys were out there. Several figmas, revoltechs, figuarts, 3a's, mezcos, 3a's, and necas later, I'm stick here.
The reason I've stayed is the community mostly. Although this board can be toxic at times (which board isn't?) I still enjoy the fact that there is a place collectors from all around the globe can meet and speak anonymously to each other. And the /toy/ photography threads are a blast to look through.
