how much is this actually worth?

around 100 dollars. This is not a meme toy.

Shut up, mouthbreather
Who here still enjoys Lego even into their late adulthood or early adulthood?
Pic related as I primarily building medieval mocs though I do not have any to display at the moment.
There are plenty of people who enjoy LEGO anon. As for me, apart from a brief period of time (when I was 15 to 17 or 18) I never stopped enjoying LEGO. Now I am 20 and I mostly collect space & medieval themes, occasionally Star Wars etc. What really irritates me is that there are no proper space or medieval themes nowadays. I miss the good old days when we had classic space themes.. the last good space theme for me was Galaxy Squad but sadly I missed out on that one. I am hoping to see a new space theme but this year doesn't seem promising at all. Oh well

I do, my first sets date from the 80s and I re-started buying new ones in 2013, mid-30s anon here
I gave all my System sets to my brother for his children but kept all my Technic and Model Team sets
pic related is my Technic parts collection without several bigger sets that are still assembled and put on display
I usually do LEGO in the wintertime, prevents me from smoking too much and keeps me occupied on those long winter nights; hopefully I'll have children of my own in the near future to share my love for building mechanical devices with

OP, there are regular Lego generals on /toy/ literally all the time.
On a side note, what's with all the threads lately that are along the lines of "Hey guys, I like (Lego/Transformers/Street Sharks, to name a few recent examples), am I weird for liking it? Do other people collect it?".
This is /toy/, a board for people who have an iterest in toys, of course people like those.
I hate to be the "Reddit are invading" guy but sometimes all the OP post needs is an XD and mention of "being a nerd/geek!" and it'd be fucking reddit tier.
knoe now
i knoe
I knoe too.
>Not even merchandise

I'd pre-order Kikko's magical girl form in an instant.
Can't seem to find out exactly which titanus this is. It's Japanese, came with the dragon zord chest piece and is missing the actual titanus front pics.
A buddy of mine picked it up and sent me the pics. Sorry for the sideways-ness.
>>5672175
>It's Japanese
No, it's not. The stickers are clearly the american ones. If you think it's japanese because there's the sentai name sculpted underside, that's something all Titanus had.
>>5672179
Thank you. So my friend is just an idiot.
>Her/His best looking figure is a fucking garage kit/they don't even have many figures to begin with
Who is it, /toy/?
kenshiro
She's the only boatslut I love but she's never going to get a figma and all her nice ass swimsuit statues will never be mass produced ;__;
Trying to track down some information on this Kenshiro. I know it's from the 200X line but for the life of me I can't find anyone commenting on its quality on thw whole of the Internet. There's that one youtube page that just shows the packaging and blares metal music, but that does me no good.
It's cut joints are very limiting. Go with pic related instead. Same size, better posability but not on the same level of the revoltech HNK figures.
It was released after the first wave of 200x carded figures in OP, so it's still available a lot of places

That shit's like eight or nine inches tall
Just in anyone's opinion, is it a bad idea to buy a bootleg BECAUSE it's a bootleg?
Pic related.

I also found this weird Star Platinum keychain on eBay and put him into space.

I'm getting out of toys, they just take up room and just aren't interesting to me anymore.
Is it possible to sell gunpla that are already built? I figure models you just repackage and put online, but gunpla already built seem to betray the purpose.
If you're willing to put together decent-sized lots and sell them for pretty cheap, people are absolutely willing to buy built kits on like, eBay.
I think I've sold fourteen kits broken up into two different lots by doing that. I regret not researching a bit and just tossing kits out when I wanted to downsize my collection.
It helps if you have all the extra bits like weapons and hands, also.
>>5671396
As a point of reference, I sold pic related for $50 plus whatever shipping was. I think there's a guy buying MGs and RGs in the BST right now, also.
>>5671396
Might have to track down some parts for one but alright, I can manage that.
Another question, I have a full armor unicorn MG that I bought but never built. I opened it once but didn't get to building it so all the packages should still be sealed. I would sell it more or less new but I can't get everything back in as tightly as it was boxed, so the box doesn't close all the way. Is there some secret moon technique for packing those items correctly?
>>5671402
I'll have to consider the BST, might be easier than the 'bay.
Anyone else having problems with boxes?
Personally I buy figures for the ... well, figures. The fact that the boxes are so nice to look at is a pain, since they just spend their time in my cupboard, but as I move around (especially moving to smaller places), they become a serious strain on my space.
Anyone else have this feel? Does anyone here take the plunge and a sell/dispose of their boxes?
You can look at box images online. Hell, save those images to your computer and make backups. You should only save physical packaging if it has a special meaning to you.
>>5671130
I collect dolls, with them the boxes are a big part in proving you have a legit one (we have a lot of issues with recasts/fakes nowadays).
It's very common to keep them because of that, but also because the boxes look nice and belong to the full package.
However, the boxes are huge as fuck.
My whole attic is full with them, most of them are 80-90cm long.
I started storing things in them, if the design allowed it, like books or currently unused clothes.
Some of them have been gently pulled apart and flattened for better storage.
I know that isn't really possible with figures, so in your case I'd say just ask yourself if storing them is worth it for you.
Do you plan to sell some of your pieces?
Would you mind if you get less money because of a missing box in case you decide to get rid of your stuff?
If you don't mind, throw them out.
If you mind, maybe only keep the ones from figures that are really sought after?
>>5671135
Eh, everything you say makes sense, but tt's always something with people who are sick.
>Everything has a special meaning to me

>Someday this trash will be worth something
How do people make miniature boxes and posters?
Any ideas on replicating this scene?
It's a life-sized kirby and nendo
>>5671105
>life-sized kirby
Kirby's 8 inches tall.
why is Kirby walking away from the counter holding money? Shouldn't he have bought something?
I am looking for the 7 digit number on the corner of lego instruction booklets (on the back with the win). please tell me any you have with the set name/number. thanks in advance.
>>5670740
Stop ordering replacement parts for sets you don't own you thief.
I assume the majority of people who end up not entering codes like this online would be due to laziness.
If they're to go through the hassle of typing up the code here, why wouldn't they just enter it on the website?
Good luck, anon.

I've had this bird toy for years now, and I was wondering what it is. Bear with me here.
press and it says
>"Remember, my children, be grateful for what you have"
And It makes an eagle screech. I think it may be from a relative.
r u trying to make new mame?
>>5670600
Are you? Because calling a meme a "mame" isn't the slightest bit dank or amusing. It's 2016 friend, you gotta step it up a few notches.
>>5670588
>"Remember, my children, be grateful for what you have"
That's the weirdest shit I've ever heard.
Trying to see what it is.

Cant see the tag properly.. Check the butt for a tag or a padded foot to give more info.
Unfortunately this is the only tag

This is a slow board - but i think i figure out something due to the 2oth century word on his suit. Seems that he is from a line called 20th century brass button bears. This bear looks like it.
Not sure if this is the right board to ask this, but here it goes.
How is traditional figure modelling doing now that 3d printing is avaivable? Do people still make and sell the hand made ones?
I work at a 3d printing company and most toy companies exclusively 3d print their prototypes and make molds from them. Skylanders does this, sideshow collectibles, hasbro, ect. Most are modeled in zbrush, rhino, 3dsmax, maya
>>5670144
If you want to make minis it's not worth it to buy your own 3D printer. FDM printers aren't that good for small parts and details. Most companies will order SLS prints for their rapid prototypes.
Shapeways offers SLS prints for a cheap cost, but the detailing isn't as good as actual prototyping services and they use older machines. If you're looking for detail you should look at shapeway's high detail acrylate, which are use DLP, curing resin with a laser. That would be ideal for miniatures that you can take a mold of and recast using stronger casting resin.
>>5670214
However, there are still companies who use traditional materials, and among doll (BJD) ones sculpting per hand is still more common.
I'd say when an artist wants to get into it it's best when they learn both.
Even now, the evil seed of what youve done germinates within you
Whatever this is, someone has definitely stuck one up their ass.
