Unaging elven hands will never, ever develop calluses no matter how many times they get blisters. They have to protect their soft hands and arms while working or it just happens forever.

Elven laborers always start work by putting on bandage wraps from finger reaching up the arm. And the fact that their boys have the appearance of wearing prissy elbow gloves does not promote a reputation for elven manliness.

Anyway, you shouldn't tell your elven workers that "you get used to it" for this reason. They know every day will be painful forever.

Dwarves are excellent beekeepers actually. The poison from a wasp swarm (aka bees) is dc13 con, and the +2 racial poison save on dwarves as well as +2con makes even a 'baseline' 10's before racial adjustment dwarf able to match the dc13 check just by taking 10.

So in a mountainous region with a lot of flowers, dwarves wouldn't even need beekeeper suits because the stings are basically harmless to them.

Honey and mead would be pretty big staples in dwarven cuisine. They might get into some cultivars like apples too, or things like berries. Wheats and grains are also probably common because the extra points of constitution make the prospect of using scythes to reap fields not quite-so-daunting. They also like easy to tend animals like goats and sheep, which often leads to cheeses.


Elves on the other hand get into more forest-garden type things, where they have cultivars like avocado's which contain basically everything one needs to get by in a single plant. They're established in 'groves' where you find a whole lot of overlapping harvestables, that you wouldn't even know were there unless you stumbled upon them. The idea of elven farmlands is a long-pondered mystery to many other races. Usually apprenticing druids tend these forest-gardens. Often these places will have wild animals like rabbits or fish that are part of the deal. Most people are free to wander in and help themselves, so long as they don't do tragedy of the commons shit (which is why apprenticing druids basically serve as 'park rangers' there).

Elves don't typically have breads or related products like pastries; they do trade for them though. "Noble" families typically have their own private grounds. Elven society doesn't have a lot of chefs, cooks or bakers, you kind of just wander into your grove-gardens and grab what you like.

Gather ‘round /pfg/ it’s time for a tale from the Flower Court, and the six saps duped into endowing it with a soul. I bring a tale of heroism, philosophy, and a bunch of random jackasses navigating the upper crust of society, and trying to be heroes! Virtues have mercy.

Cast:
Ichabod, CN Rogue – A devious master of trickery and deception, the greatest thief in all Lote—is what the whispers in the corners of the court say. Just a goofy kid, looking for a good time, and some people to share it with. Maybe. Probably. He hopes.

Sibyl Lichter, NG Vitalist – A taciturn girl from a remote corner of the kingdom, she seeks to mend both body and soul. Deeply empathetic, she’s abhors violence in all its forms. Bit of an enigma at the moment, since she seems to be biding her time, in preparation for something…

Rae, N Alchemist – The (not so) good doctor, summoned to provide the party with a scholarly and gleefully amoral perspective. The group’s resident spaghettimancer, though she seems to be warming up a little. She’s also totally in love with, and may be lightly stalking, the Court's famous scholar-poet, who will also be the one recording their story.

Derrin Kline, LG Paladin/Skald - A stupid kid from the former Bazarian empire, drawn to Lote in search of a purpose. Brash, compassionate, and almost suicidally reckless in the face of danger, Derrin serves as a continual reminder of their purpose and duty. Also, a big gay dork who’s doing her best to remain focused while surrounded by cute girls.

Sir Mathéo Le Guen, LG Warlord – A Knight sworn to the service of the Nymph who rescued him, journeyed to Lote, which they both saw as the last sanctuary for the virtues they both embraced. Currently the only real adult in the party, and constantly being surprised by the more outlandish behaviors of his comrades.

Illaria, CN Bard – A hedonistic cult leader, bringing her flock to Lore in search of a better life. Joined up because she wants to better everyone else’s lives,

Session 0 – In Which our Heroes Meet and Greet
>Ichabod is the first one to arrive in the court, seeing as it’s but a short walk from the dungeons
>Proceeds to stuff his face at the buffet.
>Sibyl arrives next, choosing to sit at a lonely table on the edge of the court.
>Derrin arrives, wearing a poorly tailored outfit that chafes and scrapes something fierce.

>Introductions are terse, but aided by Ichabod firmly planting himself at the table and refusing to move.

It depends on your setting, the location, climate, soil, and society. If orcs aren't a monolith, they very likely farm different shit, possibly are hunter-gatherers, or some other thing. These groups aren't completely separate from each other, so it makes no sense to ask how orcs farm.

The agrarian tendencies of various fantastical cultures are a pet interest of mine, and >>54429482 did a heckin fantabulous job describing two societies, even using some fun in-game justerfications. It's the little details that help make characters interesting; especially when you learn how to tie them into the archetypical heroes journey and where they fit into the 'call to action' phase (aka why does the kid leave the farm).

Elves have it pretty easy, they just get to go grab snacks. Dwarves work hard, but they're okay with that because they love their lives.

I don't know everything but take Weapon Trick. Nothing it does is amazing per-se, but everything else about a one-handed build is going to be a feat-parasite while Weapon Trick pays you back for having to take the garbage, like a good friend.

Then again I'm a stupid shit who likes counterattacker one-handed builds. These are objectively bad, please don't misunderstand me. But they're fun bad.

Magus is a passable class to do one-handing with, and they're the only ones with a pseudo-Swashbuckler feature that *actually* gives you fully functional Opportunistic Parry and Riposte (Flamboyant Arcana). They're considered one of the worse Tier 3s but they have actual versatility in party utility and have no trouble dealing damage. You'd be missing one or both of those if you pick say, Swashbuckler or Fighter for your one-hander build.

If PoW is on the table just fuck it, Scarlet Throne has you covered and counters take no build-work to get.

So I'm trying to brainstorm what the most cancerous possible /pfg/ game would be (hypothetically, not gonna run it).

So far I've got a lewd campaign featuring /pfg/ celebs as major NPCs, with a bland plot about rescuing six princesses (QANON, Wist, Wubu, RgPl, Sappy, and Vult in a dress) corresponding to the four elements and positive/negative energy in a shitty custom setting. Obviously it's not good enough to "just" be lewd, the lewdness has to be baked into the game like how rape is in PLD, so something like breeding or mindbreak would be a major mechanic with homebrewed rules. Also, to ensure maximum shilling in the month-long app process, the DM would not be choosing what apps get into the game but rather a popularity poll on /pfg/ or the Discord would decide the players.

Crane Style->Crane Wing->Crane Riposte.

It's kind of funny the way it works with Weapon Trick. If they miss you by 5 or more, Weapon Trick's feature provokes an AoO from you (one time only per opponent). If they miss you by 4 or less, Crane Wing triggers, you lose its benefit for the turn and Crane Riposte makes them provoke an AoO from you. Also, its trashy (yet AC-boosting) Dodge prerequisite actually unlocks a Weapon Trick feature to boost AC by 4 in a pinch. The other trash prerequisite (IUS) is actually available via the Wayfinder item.

If you do take this you might as well take the Cautious Warrior trait too to represent being a little scaredy bitch boy.

How does this work with the Magus? Well Spell Combat works like using two-weapon fighting, and you can normally Fight Defensively while using two-weapon fighting. Especially with how they rule it counts as a full-attack for Haste, I'd say you're safe having both work.

The Magus then does something cunty to the enemy: he chooses NOT to *cast* defensively while using Spell Combat and Fighting Defensively AND using Opportune Parry and Riposte. So the enemy takes an AoO against him for casting, MISSES due to either the parry or high AC, eats two attacks just for missing (1 immediate action and 1 AoO), then resolves like a normal Spell Combat. With Arcane Pool enhancement and/or a Black Blade, a Magus can have a really solid attack bonus at most levels so the parry isn't unreasonable to be winning at.

So this Magus intentionally leaves his casting open just to fuck with opponents more.

Keep in mind that this is a collection of *usually terrible* options that happen to work together. You might just get fucked for building so narrowly.

Basically, it used to be a tax for taking Arcane Deed, either for Precise Strike for extra damage or Opportune Parry and Riposte. You could even take Signature Deed for OP&R to be able to get a shitton of parry attempts as long as you were a Kensai or something.

Then a bunch of Swashbuckler deeds got nerfed to shit so they couldn't work with Signature Deed. Then Arcane Deed *also* got a huge nerf that meant it was basically useless, because it didn't count your levels as Swashbuckler levels.

Lamia Matriarchs (the snake ones) have Change Shape, into a medium humanoid of fixed appearance, as a supernatural ability. She'd likely have inherited it.

You could possibly re-fluff it to make staying in a humanoid form for extended periods of time is painful, which'd give her a reason to not always look human.

Also I would argue that the Magus actually uses Opportune Parry and Riposte much better than the Swashbuckler, and the ability gets its bad rep *from* the Swashbuckler. The Magus isn't devouring the same action the riposte needs just to be effective like a Swash must be, and with Spell Combat can cause its conditions to take place while taking offensive action, making a very aggressive "defensive" build.

It also isn't limited to a very low number of points to spend; Arcane Pool isn't renewable but hits a way higher cap than Panache. If you have one big fight at some point, you can in fact use it on every melee attack coming your way, AND when you run out you still function. Both of these are untrue for a Swashbuckler.

Some kind of Living Legend/Host of Heroes into Metaforge that is basically a cosplayer. She dresses up as old elven heroes and heroines, making highly accurate reconstructions of their gear so that she too can be an adventurer!

Originally she would just be an actress and costume maker for Elven Historical Theater. But she could never get roles because she happens to also be half horse. You can get MW items for anything, it just usually has certain restrictions.
