Starfinder News: http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/v5748dyo5ljwd&page=3?Bringing-Out-the-Big-Guns-in-Starfinder#106

A summary for everyone else:

Weapons can end up dealing at least 7d8 base damage before any modifiers or enchantments

Baked in damage boost tied to character level.

Lack of iteratives (which is alright with me given the above two points) makes chasing accuracy bonuses far less important

Finesse weapons are now "operative weapons" and the feat tax on them is gone.

Weapon enchantments, now called fusions, can be swapped between weapons freely.

The holy fusion overcomes energy resistance of some evil things

Weapon focus now applies broadly

Weapon levels sound really cool

Crits double all damage, and they are very emphatic on the "all" part

Soldiers are the only ones with inherent access to the full-Level-to-Damage boost weapons

Crits don't need confirmations anymore, but if you only hit on a nat 20 you don't get a crit

Inappropriately sized weapons inflict a -4 penalty to attack but don't change damage

Melee weapon handedness doesn't change the Strength bonus

Many weapons have crit riding effect, most common of which are burn, corrode, knockdown, deafen, staggered, bleed, and wound. There are a few others

Armor bonuses scale with equipment level, as does how long you can survive in a vacuum with that armor

There's a 12d10 slashing damage sword with 6d6 bleed on a crit and a 14d10 bludgeoning and fire hammer with knockdown on a crit as level 20 melee weapons

General assumption is that you can buy anything with an equipment level equaling Character Level +2
>>
>>53854074
>Weapons can end up dealing at least 7d8 base damage before any modifiers or enchantments
According to Owen Stephens' comments in the thread, the highest base damage weapon in the game is a two-handed hammer dealing 14d10 base damage.
>>
>>53854074
>Finesse weapons are now "operative weapons" and the feat tax on them is gone.

So only Operatives can use them?
>>
>>53854074
>>53854084
Does this confirm pneumatic wrist spikes doing solid damage?
>>
>>53854084
7d8 or around their for the Longarms. I'll correct that.

>>53854106
I got the feeling that it was just bad word choice on their end rather than locked to the Operative class, since they go on to say this:

>the special property that ANYONE can use their Dexterity rather than Strength to determine their attack bonus
>>
>>53854172
>7d8 or around their for the Longarms. I'll correct that.

That's a hell of a step down going from melee weapons to ranged.
>>
>>53854139
They don't actually go into all that much detail about the melee weapons.

However, one thing that they do mention is weapon mods. You can add a Fire mod that you can say let's you ram a red hot nail through someone, or an Electric one that can stun people in place, letting you follow-up repeatedly.
>>
>>53854172
Why would I use a piddly 6d8 pew pew laser when I can use a big-dicked warhammer for 20d10?
>>
>>53854212
The gravity hammer is probably a high level weapon, not usually available for lower leveled characters, and its not ranged. There has to be some bonus to melee fighting to ranged, where ranged has so many areas and dibilitating effects.
>>
>>53854196
Yes.

However, before you leave your plasma rifle at home, remember that they seem to be operating on XCOM logic. Trying to rush in is most likely going to get you tasered, glued to the floor, and razzle-dazzled. You're going to have to use chest high walls and take a few shots instead of rushing in like a moron with a jetpack and a deathwish.
>>
>>53854258
>There has to be some bonus to melee fighting to ranged, where ranged has so many areas and dibilitating effects.

4x the damage seems a bit much though.
>>
>>53854274
Didn't X-com have a class that dealt more damage the more squares they moved before attacking though?
>>
>>53854291
7d8 is likely a mid-level weapon (exact level wasn't specified) while 14d10 is from a level 20 hammer.
>>
>>53854258
What debilitating effects? If you get two nat 20s in a row you can do 1d8 damage after five rounds of build-up?
>>
>>53854303
I don't recall.

However, XCOM2 does give you a melee unit that you are pretty stupid to use early on unless you build for stealth. Remember, you can miss and the other guy and his friends now have you out of position.
>>
>>53854340
Stop all movement the next round was one of them. Causing flying targets to fall. Penalties to things. Etc.
>>
>>53854340
In the same post they described forcing a character to stand still and not move, freezing, and tons of other things. Its suffice to say crowd control and certain ranged weapons will be a thing that is around. (also magic)
>>53854274
>>
>>53854359
Rangers are largely useful only for shotguns, because you can jack the crit ratings on them so high, and hit/miss/crit all use the same dice roll in XCOM2

Long War 2 significantly improves the viability of their melee though
>>
>>53854274
>>53854365
>>53854376
So, what you're saying is ranged weapons aren't meant to be your primary form of attack, and melee is still what you need to use for killing?
>>
>>53854464
See this:
>>53854327
>>
>>53854464
No. That is actually the opposite of what I am saying. Melee can be character specific, but ranged still has the bonuses of causing debilitating effects.
>>
>>53854464
Melee is supposed to be high risk, high reward, according to designers.
>>
>>53854574
Ah, so its unarguably better.
>>
>>53854376
Aren't those effects only on crits, making them crazy unreliable, though?

Okay, so the Hellknights are going to be in Starfinder, right?
Well, do we know what Orders of them are going to be in spess? Or will it just be a singular generic entity? Because I really want to go on Spess Crusades with the Godclaw
>>
>>53854601
There's also the thing that shit like flamethrowers are the easiest way to get reliable AoE damage for mook-clearing.
>>
>>53854607
That one specific one they said, yes. But for example, grenades cause effects on every throw, and they referenced the pathfinder tech weapons which often times had DCs on every shot for each effect.
>>
>>53854613
>Well, do we know what Orders of them are going to be in spess?
It was confirmed that there will be 7 independent orders, each of them using a citadel-ship as the headquarters.
Which orders exactly - dunno.
>>
>>53854212
Because they're options available at different stages of the game.
>>53854139

What do run ins with Hellknights usually involve? Are they guys you'd have to fight for one reason or another or are they just a group of devil worshipping badasses?

>>53854742
Well, considering that only some Hellknights worhsip Devils, and most of them are LN with a healthy smattering of both LG and LE, I'd imagine that when not engaging in an action mission, they just park themselves in an area, and do routine search and surveys on ships to make sure that they aren't carrying Contraband or doing anything else Ilegal. That and murdering Space Pirates and Hostile Invaders.

Basically, they'd be more like Freelance Space Cops when not actively hunting down a target to wreck his shit.

Basically, just imagine the Adeptus Astartes and the Adeptus Arbites rolled into one package. With their temperment and firmness depending heavily on their Order.

For example, if you get searched by someone of the Godclaw, as long as you aren't a member of a dangerous Demonic/Chaotic Cult you should be fine, Order of the Chain will arrest any known criminals on board and possibly the whole crew for abetting/other crimes, and Nail will probably fuck up any primitives/artefacts that you have on board, and Scourge may attempt to hire you as a pawn to route out a known corrupt politician.

Again, it really depends on the Order, but if you keep your head down and aren't a huge criminal scumbag, you should be fine.
>>
>>53854742

Basically, they're the guys you call when shit in the empire starts getting super fucked. They're hardcore "paragon of Law" types, and each order has their own ongoing mission, as well as their own special tactics and equipment devised to help them achieve it. So long as you mind the laws of their empire, you shouldn't have much issue with them.

Well this dragon ruled an underground city as king. There was some big war that ended up slaying him and his sons, leaving the half dragon kobold, Kasquick the heir to the throne. So he took up the mantle and ruled under law since his dad was a golden scaled dragon.
>>

So, lets take each currently known Order, and imagine what they would be doing in Spess Future

>Chain
Hunt down known spess criminals, bring them back to face trial, then possibly hold the most dangerous ones in their Supermax Spess Prison. Nothing changes much for them, they just add Spess to everything and have to dedicate themselves to learning Planetary/Intersellar Law

>Gate
Big Brother/Shodan/Borg type shit, possibly ruled over by some Infernal AI. Heavy use of advanced Technomancy, and only help other orders or people in exchange for favors. Possibly emplays a shit-ton on Not!Psykers to read peoples minds and punish them for thought-crime. Most likely to be antagonists.

>Godclaw
SPESS MAHRINES! They crusade against Demons and other Fiends pouring out of the Drift and other portals, as well as hunting down dangerous cults from world-to-world. Possibly engaged in long battles both actual and legal against Megacorps run by cultists and Demoniacs. They will probably be one of the last sources of knowledge on ancient theology and history concerning the Gods of the Godclaw, and may even be some of their last practitioners. Often easily called upon by oter Churches and Monastaries to provide aid Most likely to aid you in bringing down Lammashtan Pharmaceutical companies.

>Nail
These are the people the Megacorps will hire to subjugate and break the low-tech primitives on pre-uplift planets so the company can extort the resources before the Nail starts to force-uplift/civilize/enslave the natives. Easy yet specific antagonists, most likely to heavily trigger any Picard types.

>Pyre
Take Godclaw, remove any redeeming factors, then staff it with Militant Atheists. Rather than hunting Demons and such, they hunt almost exclusively different cults and sects that "endanger" law and order. Will probably become almost exclusively Fedora-tier atheists in the future, and will look for any excuse to punish and kill members of any religion.
>>
>>53855204
I now want a Hellknight-only campaign for Starfinder.

>>53855204
>Rack
Complete and utter luddites, who probably never made it into space t begin with. Probably still on Golarion trying to blow-up freeways and powerplants wherever the planet is. Will not talk more on

>Scourge
Special investigators, lawyers, spies, and vigilantes. The scourge specializes in hunting down those who hide their crimes away and bringing them to justice. This order will probably specialize in 3rd party Internal Affairs inspections of various governments and megacorps across the galaxy. If you're a megacorp that does illegal practice, a business man embezzling from the firm, a politician taking bribes from Space Pirates, or the boss of an Interplanatary Mafia, the Scourge will be your bane. They will hunt you, they will find you, they will do everything to have you dead-to-rights, and they will make you wish you had surrendered to the law long ago. Most likely to hire you to help spy on Megacorps, or arrest you if you grease too many important palms.

>Coil
Irrelevant, were only found in Sargava. Their numbers were probably absorbed into the Nail.

>Crux
Zombies, were only found in one small area. Probably destroyed by either Adventurers or the other Orders

>Glyph
Unless Cheliax survived, stayed Diabolist, and made it to space, these guys probably aren't around since they are really just Chellish Gestapo

>Pike
A prety cool Order, though will probably stay small. If you are colonizing/investigating a planet or moon of some kind, and your people are being constantly attacked and harrashed by monsterous creatures and other ayys, then you hire these guys. Proffesional Monster-Hunters, they are not afraid to go on a Bug Hunt, and most of them will probably survive it too.

>Scar
Proffesional Bodyguard. You will find these guys watching over and protecting the most paranoid and richest of CEOs and Planetary Governers. Experts at making safe-homes and stopping even the most professional assassins. Perfect higher-level bodyguards to fight

>Torrent
The Order of the Torrent specializes in rescue missions, negotiations, and securing hostages. Basically, think Roger from Big O fused with the A-Team. Notable for having strained relations with the other Orders, they will probably survive into Space not as an official order, but as a small band of specialist Mercs.

>Wall
The Order of the Wall specializes in protecting and enforcing national borders and barriers. Insert Trump/Dorn joke here. In Spess Future, they would probably specialize in Station Security, Blockades, and thwarting smugglers and illegal traffickers in order to enforce planetary borders and quarantines. Also technically not an actual Order, but rather a Sub-Order of the Order of the Chain.

And that's all the Hellknight Orders, and what they would do in Spess. Now, lets have some fun and do something different!

See if you can come up with your own Spess Hellnight Order! or just Hellknight Order in generl. Space offers so many unique and interesting problems, issues, and other things that it would make sense for new ORders to arise and address those problems. So share your own Orders and wat they wold be like!

Remember, each Order should have
>Name
>Symbol
>Notable armor cosmetics/themes
>Favored Weapon

So yeah, they're confirmed to be overly-proud militaristic Imperialists.

So the Alanti native to golarion went on on their own while the azlanti from the main empire developed on their own too.

Well, Scaled Fist can be used on UC Monk (Unless you mean the UC Monk is a Scaled fist, in which case you should've put in in parenthesis). Further, UC Monk already gets a Ki Power that lets them add Lightning to their attacks.

For the otherside of the Gestalt, I reccomed either an Oracle or Sorcerer, and choose an Elemental/Draconic bloodline/mystery, so you can get more lighting powers going. Or perhaps even Stormborn Bloodline instead.

Further, the Stormkindler PrC is also decent for being a living storm, if somewhat redundant for already being lightning focused.

I reccomend against Djinni Style, since due to being Scaled Fist you won't have the Wis needed to meet the prereqs. If you must take a Style feat chain, I would go for Dragon, or Ascetic if you want weapons.

That a good start? OR do you need more?

This first serious app sappy put out since SotJR was the first god-tier Ensoulment app, anon. She's got nothing to be jealous of.
>>
>>53856899
And they still all spread everywhere and claimed it was all theirs and shit.

And they're still generally thought up as "Lawful Good" when they remove 'monsters' which are just natives.

Ok.
>>
>>53856899
Nah, humans are native, just the azlanti are humans from elsewhere. Just like the humans that crashed in their spaceships are humans from elsewhere, and the russians you fight in reign of winter are humans from earth.

Humans are native to many parts of the cosmos, its just the azlanti came to golarion through their big stargates, and the osirions were ported through to egypt through portals too.
>>
>>53856711
Cool, then I reccomend going for both Djinni and Dragon, since the point of MoMs is to get multiple styles going. Further, since you're going to be standing still alot because of your class abilities, then Linnorm Style may also be useful.

For Warpriest, I recommend investing in spells that give DR and such. For Blessings go with both Weather and Healing (since Fast Healing will be very useful for you

Also, Combat Reflexes is mandatory for you

Also, there were humans who consider themselves part of the Azlanti Empire on Akiton during PF times, so the presence of an Azlanti Star Empire doesn't necessarily mean that Azlanti are aliens.

Anybody want Blingmaker updates? Well, how about TWO SESSIONS' worth of updates!? We're running a two-for-one special this week!

Cast:
Kyras Czary, LN Cavalier - The feared Abyss Knight! A rude dude hellbent on taking what he wants, and sowing terror into the heart of his enemies. At least, that's what he wants you to believe. Really, he just wants to find a place to belong, even if he's convinced himself no such place could exist for a wretch like him.

Viviana D'Apparan, NG Mystic - An ex-thief on the run from justice and her past. Soft-spoken and gifted with keen insight, she's doing her best to keep the peace and cool raging tempers, though not above getting in a few conversational barbs.

Abdrik Kaminski, LG Warder - A simple farm boy, turned wandering Knight of the Realm and wanderer. A rock for the rest of the party to lean on, or occasionally hurl insults at. Tries to be a moral compass for the rest of the party, but the grim realities of this line of work don't leave much room for that kind of naivety.

Branwen Gwas Ddraig Du, NE Witch - The servant of a powerful green dragon, now unleashed to sate her greed upon an unsuspecting world. She shares the title of resident snarker with Antoinette, constantly spouting caustic epithets. Oddly protective of her headgear- do witches die without their pointed hat?

Franze Voigt, LE Gunslinger - A straight-laced cop from Port Ice, banished to the Greenbelt after kicking the proverbial hornet's nest. Keeps the rest of the party in line with harsh words, and the occasional bribes of sweets or tea. Bodyguard for...

Antoinette Hearthsley, NE Wizard - A waifish wizard, exiled from her homeland for studying necromancy and now trying to make a name in the River Kingdoms. She's sassy and seductive, frequently trading barbs with anybody who will put up with them and a few people that can't. Also, a super lightweight... Two glasses of wine, really?
>>
So, I left for a few days when the shit started to hit, what's the current verdict on the whole Tuvarkz fiasco?

>>53857201
Just rename them, remove the "hell" part, and just have them be Knight Orders/Fraternities?

Session 6 - Time to Get Down to Work!
>With Kressle's questioning concluded and one more bandit put in the dirt, the party has a couple new names to hunt down
>Somewhere out there in the uncharted wilderness, a powerful man named Sairok commands the Greenbelt's bandits
>The so-called Swag Lord has four-now-three lieutenants, and one called Auchs runs a distillery somewhere northwest of the camp Kressle supervised
>With a not so subtle reminder from ever-responsible Franze that the group was hired primarily to chart the Greenbelt, the party decides to get two birds with one stone by charting out the area while seeking the distillery
>And so the party sets off to finally begin their cartographic work!
>but first the ever-responsible Franze accidentally touches one of the golden blobs that ate Andrik's arm and whoops now she's got a gold arm too
>Franze resolves to hide her arm, lest she look like a hypocrite and a fool to her companions
>humans aren't the only people to encounter in the Greenbelt, as the party learns when they cross paths with a group of black-scaled kobolds out near a ruined old house
>Branwen speaks in overly-polite Draconic at the kobolds while Viviana translates for the others
>A tense discussion reveals the kobolds belong to the local Sootscale Tribe, know nothing about where to find the Swag Lord or his bandits, and will surely be adorable minions for Branwen eventually
>to ensure they part on peaceful terms, the party leaves the kobolds with a jar of honey as they head off
>the party continues exploring the Greenbelt uneventfully, taking in the natural beauty of the landscape's rolling hills and verdant forest
>after a gust blows Branwen's hat into a tree and the PCs all race to retrieve it (not one of them managing to actually catch it), the group shares a moment as their Social Link goes up
>after making camp, half the PCs are left to their own devices as the others retire for the night (https://pastebin.com/tVdyLjdR)
>>
>>53856950
So what does this mean for the Azlanti Star Empire?

The Veiled Masters kidnapped a planet's worth of Azlanti thousands of years ago, and only now the Star Empire has shown up to investigate where their citizenry went?

Are... Are the Pact Worlds the bad guys?

Session 7 - ZombieGate NOW
>Kyras is taking the morning watch shift, accompanied by Antoinette and Viviana because sleeping is for nerds like Branwen
>conversation drifts towards the subject of the strange gold globs that the party recovered from Kressle's camp
>Antoinette & Kyras closely examine a pair of them, while Viviana warns them to be careful
>All it takes is a little brush against the bare skin of Kyras' tail to prove Viviana's warning prudent
>Kyras, who touched the blobs before without anything happening, finds himself doubling over in pain as it engulfs his tail lake a second skin and embeds a large ruby in the tip of his tail
>Antoinette, in surprise at Kyras' shouting, loses her concentration on the Mage Hand spell she held her own golden putty with and comically drops it on herself
>Viviana's smugness intensifies
>Branwen's jealousy intensifies
>Franze's exasperation intensifies
>Andrik congratulates them on joining the cool kid club as they talk about the strange visions they've seen during the Gilding process
>the party discusses whether it's a good idea to trust vague promises made by strange metals
>ultimately, they can only conclude that it doesn't matter at this point because it doesn't seem like the Gilding is reversible and it's undeniable that it makes them stronger
>>

>>53857281

>Antoinette theorizes that the Gilding gold seems to respond to a high net-worth
>Antoinette also goes and reanimates a dead wolverine as a skeleton and whoops turns out Andrik still isn't cool with that
>Without the impending threat of angry bandits, their previous argument is resumed
>The rest of the party stands ready to act if the argument turns to blows
>Andrik fervently brings his faith as a knight of the Brevic pantheon to bear against Antoinette's cold arguments of practicality and fact
>Unsurprisingly, the necromancer knows her way around the subjects of death, souls, and the afterlife
>Antoinette lays down the facts the Pharasmin church doesn't want you to know
>For every adage of the church Andrik raises, Antoinette shoots it down with a logical counterargument
>the tiniest of cracks in Andrik's faith begin to show as he finds himself unable to refute the necromancer's points with anything more that "But it's WRONG!"
>Eventually, an agreement is reached: animals only (but Andrik doesn't notice the slippery slope he's standing on now)
>With ZombieGate: Act I resolved, the party is finally ready to get the day moving and head back to Oleg's Trading Post
>Andrik can't help but wonder, though, what would his old mentor have done?
>>
>>53857308
But Andrik is right, it is wrong, its evil magic that blackens the soul and leaves behind abominations that hate all life

One-on-one duel with an enemy general in the middle of a giant ring of flame. That had been lit by my character killing and knocking over a fire giant. Just the first honest throw down between equal combatants we'd had that whole game, and I managed to win fair and square.

Dragons are honestly kinda bullshit when played inteligently. They are not only complete beasts and monsters combat wise, but their magic, flight, ranging, and usualy high mental scores make them near impossible for most low-to-mid level parties to deal with

For example, if you are frenzied and fall below your death point, you don't actually die. For as long as you are enraged that is. When the rage falls, then all the damage done piles on instantly and you die (unless you are healed before then) But the thing was that this guy was super strong. Could tear someone in two just by looking at them. He was the liftking as well. Glorious barbarian man who's goal was to become strong enough to wield the Axe of Kord. Easily the highest damage dealer in the party too.

The thing with frenzied berserkers though is they can also inspire everyone else into a frenzy, so the party always keeps a constant calm emotions on themselves to avoid flying into a rage like he does since during frenzy if you run out of enemies you tear into your team

Tome smiter is a disaster that shows what an amatuer to pathfinder Vult still is.

Chloromancer is similarly disastrous, Vult is trying to make 'healing great again', without understanding why healing is bad in the first place, and like Tome Smiter, just piles mechanics on without thinking

Its rather obvious he's doing these things because OH MY GOD MY VIDYA GAME CHARACTER DOES THAT I WANT TO DO EXACTLY THAT. He's not thinking in terms of Pathfinder at all.

>>53857281
So, what government positions is everyone going to take? What do you want them to take?
>>
>>53858106
I've never read Chloromancer. I've only seen the Nightwalker posted in thread and it was trash that shows a lack of understanding of Pathfinder progression, 2hu did a much better job of explaining the problems than I ever could. Tome-Smiter is masturbatory shit with the same issues as Nightwalker but even worse because Nightwalker can be adjusted around but Tome-Smiter is just needlessly strong.

They're my least favorite types of homebrew. There're a lot of ways for homebrew to turn out poorly but Vult's in particular hits my personal pet peeves.

Okay, I figured out the ultimate Strength Build for the next batch of gestalt meme games.

You need: Fractional BaB and saves, Legendary Vigilantes (and LV:Villains), Divergent Paths: Fool's Errand, Prescient Dodger and most Paizo content allowed.

Your level spread will look like this, at level 8:

Vigilante (Night Terror) 7/Landsknecht 1//Fighter (High Guardian) 2/Brutal Slayer Bushi 6

Alternatively, you can skip the Fighter levels and go straight Bushi/Brutal Slayer 8 for an extra Stalker Aart and WIS to confirm Critical Hits

If your GM allows it, but not something I'd recommend, is VMC Barbarian, in order to become stronger and get more fun stuff out of being able to add STR to so much stuff.

Your traits are gonna be: Practiced Initiator (Stalker) and that one trait to be able to swap a discipline for another one (trade any Night Terror discipline for Mithral Current)

For your Night Terror Levels: Replace your 1st-level social talent with Wise Vigilante, make your 2nd and 6th-level Vigilante Talents Advanced Grip for an extra .5x Damage when using a weapon in one hand (2nd level) and any of the following for level 6: Heavy Arms Hero (Powerful Build + Stupendous Strength in one talent) or Shield of Blades (gain AC bonus equal to Power Attack penalties). If you can squeeze it in, you might be able to grab Vigilante Savant for Panache Pool and Panache Talent in order to get Precise Strike and add +7 damage. Your social talents are likely not gonna matter, take Companion to the Lonely or whatever other stuff suits your charater.

Then you add in Landsknecht. Strength of Arms means the base damage you deal with a one-handed weapon wielded in one-hand is now 1.5x your Strength modifier. Advanced Grip makes that 2.0x your Strength modifier.

This is a perfectly acceptable build on its own, you're gonna deal decent damage and you'll have a free hand to do stuff with. Now, we add in the gestalt memes.

Now you have two options here. Either you go Fighter (High Guardian) 2//Stalker (Brutal Slayer, Bushi) 6 or go for 8 straight levels of Stalker (Brutal Slayer, Bushi)

If you go the first route, you delay your third stalker art until ECL 9 and WIS to confirm crits to 10, but you now have STR-based AoOs and immediate action 5-ft steps. If you go the second route, you don't get STR-based AoOs and can't abuse fun Reach stuff, but you do get your third stalker art and WIS to confirm crits at ECL 7 and 8, respectively. The choice is up to you.

You basically don't really get much choice with your fighter levels, so ignore those. Brutal Slayer/Bushi Stalker is where things get interesting.

For your first Stalker Art (at 3rd level)? Assuming you're in an SoP/PoW memegame, grab Prescient Dodger for WIS to AC and a scaling bonus to armor. If you go straight Stalker 8 then you can also pick up Critical Edge at 7th level in order to get fatter crits (14-20 critical rate on a keen version of any 18-20 crit-rate weapon).

Now for your stalker levels, you also get a scaling natural armor bonus and STR to AC and reflex saves. If you dip 2 levels of Fighter for STR-based AoOs? you delay full STR-to-AC until 8th, which can hurt somewhat, but you'll have Brutal Strikes to make up for it.

So there you have it. I wouldn't really call it the "ultimate" Strength build. It's not even the most OPTIMAL strength build, but it exists, and with it, you have some fun options:

>(Optional) STR to AoOs
>STR+WIS to AC and Reflex Saves
>2x STR to damage when wielding a weapon in one-hand
>Free-action maneuver recovery when you use quick draw and bushi stuff on your Stalker Side
>Tons upon tons of Maneuvers and stances

Sure, no casting. Sure, it requires a wide spread of materials. Sure, it might not fly at ALL tables, and it comes online at 8th/10th level, but it is fun. You could even try and finagle Scarlet Throne Style in there in order to get 2handed benefits from Primal Fury
>>
>>53854274
>t they seem to be operating on XCOM logic. Trying to rush in is most likely going to get you tasered, glued to the floor, and razzle-dazzled. You're going to have to use chest high walls and take a few shots instead of rushing in like a moron with a jetpack and a deathwish.

That's boring.
We want high heroics during space age, not horror simulation.
>>
>>53858549
You get HP and Stamina Points. HP is your actual meat points and can only be healed via health packs or magic, and Stamina Points are your classic "abstract" health where you simply dodge a bullet or get a close call. Stamina refills after a 10 minute rest.

But I do get the appeal.
>>
>>53858549
If you eliminate Stamina Points you can make it extremely lethal for characters.
>>
>>53858571
Almost forgot: if you want to switch to Scarlet Throne with that one trait that lets you swap one discipline for another, you can snag Scarlet Throne Style to be treated as if you're ACTUALLY using a two-handed weapon, for any effect dependent on it.

This synergizes really well with the 8th-level Primal Fury Stance, as you're now dealing 3.5x STR to Damage using a one-handed weapon.
>>
>>53858712
It's closer to the Star Wars d20 RCR, which actually worked really well. The biggest difference was that criticals in RCR bypassed Stamina and took from HP directly, which made that system VERY lethal.

Actually, you'd probably be surprised how low density breasts are. The girl in the picture we were talking about's breasts probably weigh just 7 pounds or so, which is about 28N. It's more the cumbersomeness of their volume and the objectification of society that push women into reducing them. Here's a chart of weight by bra volume:
