I like this a lot.

Initially thought of joining the war but it doesn't seem worth it. Instead I'll try to make a shitload of money delivering items of both a legitimate and illegitimate variety in a speed that makes me extremely reliable and capable of doing far more jobs.

I failed for one specific reason: Analisa. Sure, there were a couple classes I didn't excel at, but I probably still could have managed a passing grade if I hadn't been sure to get just enough of the answers on the tests wrong to fail. Quick Progress Update For Those Who Care:

I have this one completely outlined and balanced with 60 different powers to choose from, 10 perks, 10 drawbacks,10 possible charges, and 10 possible personalities for your guardian.
The bulk of the writing left is just option descriptions, so I can hammer those out pretty quickly.
I have not even begun on the actual image because I'm going to work from the text to create actually adequate use of space this time. Or at least try to.
The bad news is, it's currently taken a back seat to my other project:

I also think you made good choices for general categories and I particularly enjoyed a few of the more atmosphere oriented choices like the "Time of Day" and "Classroom" which would not have occurred to me and changed the way I saw the entire CYOA and treated the scenario.

Basically the idea is I make a well ordered, fed, aggressive and conquering civilization with creative people and flush with money from trade. I guess Biology since that's what I do. Health seems like it actually covers useful nutrition stuff, so why not. It's also pretty related to biology.
History's fun enough to me, and I know a ton of European history already.
Theater is something I've done before and had fun with.
P.E. seems easy enough so I'll round it out there. I considered psychology but that style of pedagogy could be very easy or it could be incredibly fucking difficult. If she expects students to actually know any more than precisely fuck all, that learning has to all be self-directed, and arguing views could be as much based on opinion as anything else. Not what I want my grade based on.
These days I'd go for the morning time but if this was back when I was about the right age, 10 to 2 would suit me better.
Small classes across the board.

Glasses are an amazing (though terrible) treasure.
The phone also seems handy. You can call someone after killing them and see how they felt about it.
The candle seems too terrifying, and there's only one use. The headphones, then. They're a minor comfort, but better than nothing.

I don't really like picking friends, but Sarah and Richard seem like decent company. Lillian seems like a bit more than that. Shannon seems like more of a target than a peer, but could still be worth spending some time with.

It's not the specific people. It's the perspective. The overwhelming unsoundness of mind that's just sort of pushed to the side in most places, the normality mixed with bits of fantasy. And the fact that the people are portrayed in ways that it's easy to see where to hurt them, where to control them. I don't think everyone had the same kind of mindset at that age, but for me at least, it's bringing that back. Makes me remember being a kind of person I don't want to be.
