The size of the crest doesn't even matter as much, as the blitzer pose is distinct from the lineman poses, having an open hand rather than a second weapon. Personally, I just snipped the things off since they looked dumb.

All in all, the only thing that really matters on a BB paint scheme is the number on the model, and you can do just about anything for that, so long as it matches the numbers on your roster.
If you're painting a new team, don't sweat the small stuff.

I think it is retarded as fuck too. IMO the linos shouldn't have spikes. I can understand the block players having the spikes (I like my willy minis ones better with no one having spikes and the blitzers having wings on their helmets). But imo random linos shouldn't have weapons.

The one from Willy Miniatures is fairly consistent with the GW design and sports a rat tail.

You can still get the regular and stone trolls from GW though. The ones with a more open pose or with two handed weapons that are not molded across the body should be easy enough to convert too.

Why do you need guard, you are playing wood elves? The only argument for guard vs wood elves is to force them to throw worse dice against a skink in a cage, but I assume they have strip ball and you don't have sure hands.

Like if you were undead I'd say surehand on the ghoul plus 2 guard mummies means he has to throw a 2 die up hill and needs something better than a pow, but unless you have 4 guard players, best you can do is force a 1 die, and he still has block and strip ball,

Been trying Norse lately and while I know they are meant to be really good at lower TVs, I am generally finding them to be much better "fighters" than Chaos. Whats up there?

My Chaos team which I've put on hiatus, are stuck in journeymen status for ages due to constant maiming and death of my Chaos Warriors. I'm still on two journeymen with a -1 MV Chaos Warrior and two niggled beastmen. I also lost my Minotaur who had claw. Their treasury is also below 100k.

My Norse on the other hand have 14 players and I have had little trouble keeping the roster at the least 11 points.

Is this just really bad luck or are Chaos meant to be this hard to develop?

The chance of getting injured with an av 8-9 without block is slightly less than an av 7 with block, so long as you're generally throwing/receiving 2 dice blocks, and av 8 without is about as good as av 7 with when receiving 1d blocks.

So you're having bad luck, you take more risks when playing chaos, including but not limited to more/riskier blocks, and/or people are trying harder to kill some/all of your players.

I just got my new gobbos practically built. I love them to bits but one problem I noticed is their size. I used one of those modestly sized grey rectangular carrying case for my old goblins who fitted in fine flat. But these bases are a fair bit bigger than the standard 40k scale. Any suggestions for box brands?

I'd just give everyone on a Tzeentch team Pro. But, if I wanted to go down the custom rules route I'd allow them to take 0-4 Blue Horrors that split into pink horrors when they should go down. Add the traditional Warrior, Beastman and Minotaur to that and you're good.

Not sure what route I'd want to use for Slaanesh. Daemonettes instead of Linemen/Beastmen, keep the warriors, replace the Mino with a Fiend of Slaanesh. Not sure what to do otherwise. Make Daemonettes Agility 4 Armour 7 with Claws? Maybe everyone get's +1 Agility -1 Armour?

I was actually on discord last night wanting to talk about this, you were probably at work mate.

But yeah, welcome to the Age of Nuffle, with everything going on it seems like a good time to draw a line in the sand and wave goodbye to the legends of yesterday.

The two things I want to discuss before I opened signups are why it hasn't happened yet.

Firstly, which ruleset we are playing on. We can't open signups if we move off Christer's wild ride of BB2016 and onto a custom ruleset like old CRP, as people will have to make teams for that ruleset like you do on the Stunty Leeg.

Secondly, how we are addressing teams not snowballing TV and dominating the league, ala Quickslithers. The Exhausted Teams idea was a stopgap and unfortunately I didn't have any better ideas or get any better suggestions.

I was thinking a straight 3 season cap, Rookies or Vets, and that team is done? Keeps it simple but I'm open to ideas.

One thing I had for Rookies is possibly making it fresh teams only every season.

In hindsight a 1200TV Lizard team being in was an unfortunate extreme of the current rule, but whether or not that makes the whole thing worth changing is another question. For me, ideally the top 3-4 Rookies would go into the Vets each year if the coach feels like it, and with a season limit or straight cap like >>53510904 not be too outclassed instantly.

I like the idea of opening a third division periodically for teams above this cap. I also think that this should be a "bonus" division - meaning you can commit to bringing a team to Rookies or Veterans and also participate with a team that qualifies for that division, so that people aren't forced between choosing between three divisions. Otherwise I think this third division will happen far too infrequently due to lack of available teams.

As far as rulesets are concerned, I'm fine with NuBB so far but we should enable Wizards. It's a bit silly that it's taking so long for them to reimplement them and GW has yet to give a good reason for why they were removed.

For this season, we're at a position were Signups are now OPEN. As usual, applying your team to the group and PMing myself on FUMBBL is how you get in.

The only change relevant this season is that from now on, only fresh teams will be allowed to join the Rookies, and as such the league.

Don't remove your old teams from the group though, they might see the sunlight once again one day.

Going forward, there will be TV limits rather than season limits or anything at the start of Veterans seasons, details still to be fully worked out in due course.

We're now in the Age of Nuffle, so I call on everyone to use this chance to start afresh by trying new teams, new playing styles and new hot memes. I'll be giving some form of Elves a crack myself, why not.

Congratulations anon.

The first team I played and learned Blood Bowl with was Goblins. Took me some time to get my first win too, way too long!

In the end though I found just using the saw only increased my wins noticeably. Makes you have a deep bench and learn positioning (?) with troll management.

Its still hard as hell to get results but the extra bodies make the world of difference.

I find just the chainsaw is fine, im still using the wealons. Just one though, feels more like lrb4 gobbos.

Only issue I found with using varying drives is, if the opponent takes out a few goblins by injury or k.o and they dont come back, they force your weapons on final turn of a drive and then you have lost 2 players automatically.

That leaves you painfully undermanned. I preferred the assurance of extra bodies if things go south.
