It's a bit sparse on skill points to do all the rogue things, since rogues need way too many skills to "do rogue things". That said, it's extremely solid anyways and is, like all initiators, great in combat.

I've always found 'alignment swap' things to be weird. How the fuck is that supposed to be played? What impact does a character's alignment have on their actions? Does it cause an immediate re-evaluation of everything they do to see if it fits with their new alignment, or would it take time to kick in? It's just weird.

And it's not a flat 'you have to stay this alignment' either, so there's a decent chance that they'll drift back to what they were.

The way my group's been playing it is that alignment is more of a blanket description/archetype that a character behaves rather than alignment being what dictates the character's actions. Something like a sudden alignment shift might be due to a traumatic event that caused some kind of epiphany, and the alignment shift would be that character taking their time to slowly find out where they stand.

When placed upon the head, this item’s curse immediately takes effect (Will DC 15 negates). So I've been in a campaign for a few levels now with restrictions to basic classes, but now the DM has opened up hybrid classes. I've taken four levels of rogue thus far with a ranged focus.

Focused Study is a recently released feat in the Monster Hunter's Handbook that's pretty much better weapon focus for Slayers.

Yes actually. Thats the whole idea with a couple barbarians I have seen. They are musclemen and worship them as divine gifts of the god Kord and other gods of swole.

Once you reach a certain pinnacle of barbarianism and you are HUGE enough, then you can wield the axe of kord, which requires you to be a true barbarian with like 40 str.

Also take invulnerable rager so your muscles are your shield. Not armor and not a shield. Block swords with your muscle, block spells with your muscle (also spellsunder)

I'm glad a PFG is up, I had a question and didn't want to make a new thread, so lucky.

I haven't played PF a whole lot and Googling has shown that "cursed" isn't the right thing for what I want to do.

I want to make magic items that function normally but also have some kind of drawback. For example, let's say I want to make some basic magic armor (to keep it simple) for a party member that magically becomes unequipped if I say a code phrase or something. Assuming the GM approves (and we've discussed this a little bit), would I just craft it like a normal armor? Just adding stuff like Command and Bestow Curse or something onto it to signify the extra bit (and increasing the cost accordingly)? Or is there something specific I have to do to add drawbacks to items?

Unrelated, I'm working on my character for it, basically changing one over that I was going to play for 5E. Trying to figure out how to make a hexblade (4E/5E style) and looking at Magus (hexcrafter) with the Occult Bargain drawback trait. Is there a better way to do it?

If you fail your spellcraft check by more than 5, an item is going to be created cursed. However, what you want is a successfully made item with a controlled curse. Talk to your GM about the method of creating a cursed item. Perhaps you can have to use a casting of bestow curse as an additional prereq for creating the item?

However, it's not REALLY cursed is it? Cursed items are worth less to make, but if the only draw back is the item will fail when you want, then you'd be able to make OP armor for cheap. I'd argue it's in fact a major boon to you.
