So I made orcs +4 Str/-2 Int/-2 Wis because orcs stats as ass and changed Kobolds to +2 Dex/-2 Con/+2 (mental stat based on scale color)

Red - Cha
Green/Blue - Int
White/Black - Wis

One of my players called me out on making them OP, but it doesn't feel like it.

I cannot assist you in that regard.

I, however, am also in need of something. Specifically, more DoTs.

I want to watch the "bosses" we fight slowly but surely succumb to agony, our martials holding back as the unholy ichor with which I have infected the enemy tears them apart from the inside out. And every round they beg us to end the pain and just rocket-tag them? We will lean in and take turns whispering "no."

Are halflings OP too or something? Hell, if anything your Kobolds are weak, they should be -2 Str instead of Con, but maybe that's just me.

I'd also say Orcs should be -2 Int/Cha instead of Int/Wis, but that's mostly because "wise witch doctor" makes sense to me.

Alright, /pfg/, tell me about your godless heathens! Do they just not bother with active worship? Are they too busy? Do they reject the gods outright? Did they have poor experiences with the church in the past, or have they perhaps never heard of the gods, or anything from another plane at all?

Or perhaps they simply worship something else - which, while unable to give them divine spells, serves the same role in their lives?

They were PMs. We roughly know the content of Sigmund's since he posted here, but everyone else is unknown except to the player.
>>
>>52387422
Nah, I did the same thing to kobolds except they all get a +2 DEX, +2 INT, -2 STR. My logic is that for them to be such skilled miners and trap smiths, INT seemed most appropriate. I give them a penalty to STR instead of CON because 1) a CON penalty really, really, really sucks and 2) a STR penalty is pretty much standard for small-sized races.

One of my players is running a kobold sorcerer with the Sage bloodline, haven't had any problems so far and that's with ~15 sessions of him being around.

I think more likely you just have a person bitching because they think kobolds are suppose to be the biggest joke of a race in Golarion.

>>
>>52387655
You get your full iteratives with the weapon, and the natural attack becomes Secondary if it wasn't already, so it attacks at -5
>>
>>52387655
Natural attacks don't get iteratives.
>>
>>52387043
I got someone to PM me the book, but one last thing, if you guys are still willing to help. So Mouth Manipulator allows for the mouth to be treated as an extra hand so long as you have a Bite attack, which is easily attainable with a trait that gives you a 1d2 if I'm not mistaken. Since the Bite is treated as a hand this means that he now qualifies for Multi Weapon Fighting instead of just Two Weapon Fighting, so if he really wanted to he could attack with all 3 swords with some minuses, which can be mitigated with the TWF feat tree. Since MWF says it is treated as TWF in any other respect other than the different number of limbs I know I can take those as well.

ALL OF THIS SAID, I'd also like to know if there's a feat I can take that states that a held weapon can be used to up AC, whether they be melee or ranged. I know for Ranged stuff Strike from the Air exists, but is there a way to repel melee attacks with my own swords ala Parrying without going into Swashbuckler? Because honestly Zoro is NOT a charismatic dude and I can't see taking that just for the ability to block incoming attacks.

I have an inquiry directly related to how I should be playtesting Spheres of Might's blacksmith class. You see, it receives proficiency with all hammers, and one of its key class features applies only to hammers. However, it does not actually apply to lucerne hammers.

http://archivesofnethys.com/FighterWeapons.aspx
"aklys, battle aspergillum, club, earth breaker, greatclub, heavy mace, light hammer, light mace, mere club, planson, taiaha, tetsubo, wahaika, warhammer"

The Hammer Training talent grants proficiency with, "aklys, battle aspergillum, club, dwarven longhammer, earthbreaker, flail, gnome hooked hammer, greatclub, heavy flail, heavy mace, knobkerrie, light hammer, light mace, lucerne hammer, mere club, morning star, planson, taiaha, tetsubo, wahaika, and warhammer."

Which definition of "hammer" should I use, at least for my playtest?
>>
>>52387701
That's a fairly common statblock for less crap kobolds.

It's the one me and my DM worked out for when I played one, and it's the one that Worlds of Power used for Zethian Kobolds. As well as giving them Prehensile Tail for free and ditching the light sensitivity.
>>
>>52387704

"Your art's not fuckable"

"Your character is too compatible with Gloriana"

"Random bitching about thematic overlap with Gloriana"

>>52387541
One of my favorite PCs was a godless heathen of the "don't have time for the gods" variety, up until he died for the first time. The experience shook him and forced him to reconsidering a few things in life, and he spoke with the cleric of the main town we adventured out of about the gods (getting a predictably biased answer since it was a cleric of Erastil). Eventually, after doing research of both the "study some books" and "soul searching" varieties, he settled on worshiping Shelyn.

I really like Sigmund's current art.

It's rugged and dirty, but in that kind of way that you can see there's a really handsome man beneath the grime.

>>52387777

My gripe is that Sigmund stands no chance, despite being a great character, simply because the chances of him getting to ERP with Gloriana more than Vult is too high for his tastes.
>>
>>52387797

>>
>>52387661
Will it end up with its own general, you think? Does it need a general separate from /pfg/? I wouldn't mind Starfinder discussion happening here if it actually would breath some fresh life in the general.

More directly related to Starfinder, I guess I'm mostly excited for lore we'll get from it rather than the game itself. In particular, I want to know more about outer dragons.
>>
>>52387803
Maybe we could do some kind of reverse-shipping to determine what males won't get in because their ERP potential is too high.
>>
>>52387813
Ditto. Outer and Esoteric dragons actually seem like a neat idea. I might use them in place of Chromatics and Metallics in a homebrew game.
>>
>>52387807
>>52387808
Don't false flag or shitpost. You have no idea. You're just guessing based on some Anon who was pretending to be Captain Slow and spouted some stuff. But you can't possibly know unless you design Chevies for a living.
>>
>>52387785

The sad thing is that he DID get a trap applicant, but the trap applicant's schedule wasn't compatible with Puellareview's, and when he replied he couldn't make his schedule fit, Vult told him off and then bragged about the guy being a loser in the discord.

>>
>>52387833
To be fair, even though I've always thought the outer dragons are an interesting idea the only reason I really want more lore about them is because I have had a solar dragon PC. On the other hand, getting a lot of new lore about them might be useless for my character or even actively detrimental if it contradicts any of the headcanon I've been using, like how they just let their eggs float off into space to eventually crash land on a planet or star somewhere like a meteor. Solar dragons are the only kind of outer dragon not immune to cold, so they can't survive the vacuum of space after hatching without some kind of magical or technological aid.

Warder, for starters, or Combat Patrol. Whether or not you go for an initiator, you should probably at least get Martial Training to pick up some Iron Tortoise maneuvers to be able to protect your team with your shield.

Then you'll want some way to get either haste or a flurry of blows or some extra way to spam your sword/axe attacks.

Those take care of the main schticks of being a Dragon's Crown fighter.

Rory was a game app that hit critical levels of thread memes, got into the game, and then had their ERP logs leaked... before the game even started. The memes hit the point that they spilled into other games and people's characters.

Exhack is some /pfg/ player who got a modest amount of memes on their current applications, which I guess has since promoted them to /pfg/'s new waifu.

>>
>>52388658
True enough, but still, there's the matter of her being the only person capable of both being a full spellcaster, a healer, and a utility caster.

You go down the other apps and it's nearly all people who want either do damage, be the party face, or very occasionally do stealth or debuffing.

Gamze might not have a perfect backstory, but she's got a nice, tight one that gives her a definite goal, and she fills a role the party is going to need. There's a good chance she'll be the 6th member of any team the GM would otherwise pick.

Witch is a debuffing class, so by your standards she's also doing what the other apps are doing. Incidentally, murdering an enemy quickly is also an excellent way to debuff them.

The backstory is far from tight. In fact, it raises a lot of questions. The anime personality doesn't help, by all accounts the DM wants the game to be fairly serious-minded.

It'd be nice to see the app improved, though. We know the player is capable of it. But now that he's GMing a different game, we'll have to see.

Issians would win if there's no external influence, but the PCs should be backing Rostlanders because the Issians (or more specifically the Surtovas) are a shit.

You can look at the issue as Rostlanders VS Issians, and that's probably how most citizens of Brevoy actually tend to look at it, but there's also a separate issue of Surtovas VS Rogarvia... Except that the Rogarvian family is all gone, which is the whole reason for the power vacuum the Surtovas are exploiting.

I'd rather see the Surtovas ousted than see all of Rostland succeed from Brevoy, personally, but I don't think the Swordlords would be all that much more loyal to a proper Rogarvian heir because their beef is with the crown in general.

Consider adding some "stage hazards" the party could exploit if you're worried. Like columns that can be knocked over with a STR check or an attack, and knocking them over on the swarm would deal AoE damage.

And now onto the greentext (spoilered at GM's request)

>Scarlet and Laurentius are most interested in influencing people.
>Winston and Reina sit in the back, watching, waiting for the powder keg to erupt.
>After nearly two hours, Winston spots Barnaby in one of the upper windows, and helpfully highlights him with a silent image.
>The speech goes about as well as could be expected; the PCs familiar with Thrune are hardly shocked, but still incensed, while Angelman is just confused why Barabbas is misinterpreting what the people want.
>Guards appear to break up the crowd, and Reina responds by wading into melee; Laurentius and Scarlet join shortly after (with more than a little hesitation on the part of the blind man), while Winston struggles with his costume.
>The thugs go down with little resistance, and the party celebrates for a moment.
>Then Reina spots her plot device and takes off the Arcane Avenger in tow (figuring that if any guards were following him, the angry wolfgirl would distract them long enough to escape); and Brecken calls out the big guns, scattering the rest of the party
>The party converges on an alley where Rexus Victocora, Reina's contact and local resistance leader, is cornered by thugs.
>After a bit of growling and barking, the thugs disperse, and Reina greets her contact by threatening him.
>Despite that, he invites the party to a local bookshop, to discuss their next course of action.
>Rexus explains exactly how fucked Kintargo is, and asks the PC to help; also tells Reina her adopted dad is probably alive. He then offers the PCs a place in the revolution.
>Scarlet leaps at the chance to regain her spotlight.
>Reina just wants her dad back, and if she has to bring down Becky to do it, so be it.
>Laurentius is apprehensive, he wants to free Kintargo, but doesn't want to hurt anyone.
>Rexus's impassioned speech is interrupted by Winston loudly slurping coffee in the back, and looking very bored. He agrees to join the revolution as long as the coffee is flowing.

What would be the best possible strategy the PC kingdom in Kingmaker could have for maximum ouldinternational power in the immediate area? Could they take control of some river/resource and put pressure on the other river kingdoms/Brevoy? Could they flex their arcane might from the cheesy bank meta for kingdom building?

Metagaming.
>kingdom rules scale up the DC of kingdom stat checks as you expand.
>fast expansion actually can cripple you if you're not careful.
>you can spend in-game decades just on trying to maintain what you have
>far less work to manage and control one city
>certain buildings (like Banks) are uniquely efficient for their cost
>players will often go for the most optimal choices once they notice them

So the strategy essentially becomes "city-state with nothing but banks" to minimize costs and risks while maximizing bonuses.

I remember that a friend of mine would make nothing but greenhouses for that Magic

you can transform 50 GP into 100 GP worth of magic for crafting, and can use up to 50% an item's worth in Magic to craft it.

Just a feature of the way the kingdom building rules work and the bonuses different buildings give, I'm guessing. I remember at first filling your city with graveyards was the optimal strategy, but I think that changed when the Ultimate Campaign kingdom building rules came out. The general consensus is that they're an improvement on Kingmaker's kingdom building rules, but even with them you need a DM that's willing to draw a line with what the PCs can do with their cities if any of the players want to cheese things up and minmax their kingdom.

Depends on your Kingdom Rulers, what rule set you're running with, if you get lucky with exploration rolls and find resources, etc.

Generally a Stockyard to increase Farm effectiveness is a good bet. Good resource rolls with Mines/Sawmills skyrocket economy.

Legendary Games rules have a few new Edicts that let you break the system over a knee with ease (mainly the one that divides Economy check by two rather than three).

Possibly, but then, I've made some test runs and my biggest problem is that I always get buttfucked by a run of bad rolls.

Events can hamstring you. Rapid expansion will destroy you. If at any point your stats get too low, you might as well just abdicate and let the kingdom burn, because it's damn near impossible to bring them up to snuff without bankrupting yourself or bogging the PCs down until they're all reaching their maximum ages.

If you're using Kingmaker as the test case (like I did), you essentially have to assume the PCs do everything right and complete every side quest to just keep the kingdom at mediocre levels.

A GM could probably stand to abstract out most of the kingdom rules and maybe offer them a safety net.
>>
>>52389332
Yeah sure, if you only care about optimization. But your PCs are trying to start a nation, and one in the River Kingdoms no less, where you always gotta watch out for all sorts of nastiness that could wreck your tiny nation. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Besides, it's way cooler to have multiple towns anyway.

>>52389396
IIRC Kingmaker has an option for dropping the kingdom building rules, but it's just "assume some NPCs run the nation instead of the PCs, here's vaguely how big it should be at each book" and that's shit. The kingdom building rules might be rough, but I'd rather suffer through them to run the kingdom we worked so hard to earn than hand it off to some NPCs with silver spoons in their mouths.

I guess you might just have to hope you've got a DM that wants to see the PCs succeed and their kingdom flourish, but really that's the case with every game.

That's why you build a sprawling kingdom with highly fortified BANK-CITIES instead. Do the god of walls and ditches proud! Although really, I think I would expect the PC's kingdom in Kingmaker to have just 3-4 cities by the end of the game, considering even if you are a kingdom, you're a small one.

The kingdom-building rules have an absolutely pathetic band-aid against this sort of optimization:

>If you get overzealous in constructing a particular type of building in a settlement, the GM should feel free to add events to discourage this practice. For example, a settlement with too many Dumps is prone to otyugh and wererat attacks, and a settlement with too many Graveyards tends to have frequent undead attacks. This should not occur, however, if you build too many Houses, Parks, Tenements, or Waterways.

Which amounts to "We could not balance this, so it is up to the GM to balance it."

Also, I like the bizarre implication that a city full of nothing but tenements is actually acceptable.

>>52389482

You would be better off placing all of those banks in a single city instead, and then building a second settlement in the same hex once the first city is full.
