One Piece anon here again, after an excruciating amount of time learning how to build a custom natural lycanthrope from a 3rd party deer in pfsrd, to learning what all stacks and what doesn't when you gestalt a vivisectionist/beastmorph alchemist with a Savage/totem barbarian at level 9 (the answer is everything. Everything stacks.) I've finally completed his sheet, including items. I debated on whether or not to give him a major drawback saying that he automatically fails a Swim check in order to grant an extra feat but decided against it since I'd probably just take Toughness, and he already has plenty of HP.

The Inner Planes are mostly the same in terms of elemental, positive/negative energy, and shadow planes, except that they're in concentric rings rather than all orbiting the material plane.

But then there's the Outer Planes, and that's where things get screwy.

Some thoughts. So everyone is some flavor of good, except for Morgase, that's sure to cause party conflict. There are more people without listed heights/weights than I thought there would be. Including the Suli everyone looks like they could be human except for the odd elf out, no really strange races in the bunch. There is an even split of male and female to let shippers go at it, so that's good. The class balance seems weird with TWO wizards in the bunch.

I've never really 'got' how all these planes hook up together. It is supposed to be a sort of sliding scale between matter and collective will, where the material planes sit? What IS the astral and ethereal planes? It looks like a sort of buffer between the inner and outer planes, but I thought they overlapped the prime. If each one is infinite, how can they have layers?

I've sort of taken to assuming that everything overlaps but usually fails to interact on a higher-dimensional level, and going somewhere else is to tap into that. Like the whole analogy of the flatlanders moving through 3D space. For the flatlander, moving 'up' is sort of nonsensical, but if they manage somehow, it takes them to an entirely different place without having moved very far at all. Likewise, mortals move 'sideways' in ways they can't normally perceive and only magic allows. The astral and ethereal planes are 'close' so that even minor magics often interact with them, like with bags and such, while more 'distant' places take increasingly difficult magics.

I started this morning off with a prayer that DHB would be able to play.

I have a question for other GMs. If you are currently playing Giantslayer with an entire group of That Guys don't read because I know at least one of you is on 4chan.

Alright, my players just killed the Hill Giant bitch at the end of part 2 of Giantslayer. They still have some unfinished business, but I expanded the role of Pappy Gorb a good bit, as in he is instead a spiritualist and has been purposefully manipulating the various haunts save the priest in the chapel to fuck with Grenseldek. Anyway, since they skipped him and went right for the boss I decided to have Gutterunch go proactive a bit. Any suggestions? I've given the party pretty much free reign on third party stuff so that's not a factor. I was thinking of him getting a few more incorporeal undead as allies, and since I've already added stealthy ogre rogues adding a few more would not be unusual. Any suggestions on how to make a memorable encounter? Also, I use event based leveling and the party is all like "Let's just rush the boss, we don't need to kill stuff to level", I kind of feel that's kind of meta-gamey and would like to show that sometimes it IS a good idea to make sure you aren't going to get boxed in somewhere because you didn't secure the path there)
