Alalda, who's family had perished, was rescued by a Beautarian fighter as the city fell. She was just a small orphan girl and nobody knew who her family was, so she was named Firemourn after the loss of the city and so many in it. She was taught to ride, shoot and fight by Princess Kayla's bodyguards. Once it was discovered that Alalda had strong magical potential, she was set on the path of becoming a battlemage. When the fighting gets tough, she's also able to smite enemies up close and cut through the monsters with her blades.

Changes:
2 new realms
Marble altars no longer give a 10% bonus to all summon lengths (but you still get your thrall). I used the extra text space to describe thralls just a bit more. I felt like they were still a bit too vague.
Obsidian (no change in the Obsidian text - look at Animal Blood) now combos with Animal Blood, lowering the cost of resummons, making the quick/auto-summon ability of Obsidian more useful.
Slate altars now give (+4) binding bands. That's a lot. Hopefully enough to compete with having your waifu forever.
Some typo fixes.

I ran out of image space to add more quests unfortunately.

A ritualist makes a good thrall, she can serve waifu purposes and aid me in my magical betterment. She's also higher ranked than the one who currently owns my soul, and I'll have to come up with some shenanigan to lawfully take that back. At least she seems amenable to that kind of thing, so a fair deal should be fair enough.

Hellguard seems useful for if/when I need combat potential.

Fairies have infinite time, which makes them handy for little tasks minding the house and garden.

Well, I don't really have a need for the other ones.

A slime doesn't need anything other than water. They can alchemize their mass into most any liquid.
Alraunes can produce any sort of plant, quickly & plentifully. They can only do so much before needing to rest, though. While they could get you a bushel of apples in mere minutes, they'd need to take a short break before they're ready to make more. They can also exaggerate plants, perhaps making cherries the size of your head or something.

Make the narrator succubus my thrall. I expect that should sort of counter the fact that she owns my soul so now neither of us is really forced to be the other's slave except maybe during her "vacation". Also it leaves me free to check out the mages guild instead of having to take "stay with me".

Animal blood provides no benefit with a thrall, but I figured it might not be wise to have a direct telepathic link with my "master" even if we are forced to be on slightly more even terms. Since she's not violent tomato juice doesn't really have any effect either, plus it's kind of an abomination of a summoning method.

As for the others, animal blood lets me summon them multiple times per day, which is great. Anyway the Ember Bloom replaces sleep so that's a great thing to have around. The slime has plenty of useful potions. Arma is a versatile combat summon should that need ever arise, even just to impress the mages (fae relies on her sleep spells and probably isn't the best fighter outside of that, the others are either too good, too evil, or too big).

As for the textile, that's the "be the girl option". Of course my succubus "girlfriend" might have other ideas in bed, but the slime can take care of that. Afterward she'll be my twin physically, combined with the telepathy from using my own blood that could have some useful applications.

Probably depends at which point in their career you 'summon' them. With Prophet nerfed into a raw caster class, there's not really any good marks so... Forerunner I guess. It's the innawoods choice apparently.

Charisma, strength, and intellect for the other stuff.

Aegis armor is hands-down the best, since it's not only big heavy armor but also good against magic. The other options have their upsides, but the role of armor is to be armor.

For my weapon, I'll pick a greatsword+staff combo at 12 coins. That effectively combines both actions of a battlemage and while it doesn't leave a free hand for a shield, my armor should be effective against arrows and the like anyway.

Since I have extra points I'll take a bow and dagger for innawoods purposes.

On to the meat of the game, then. Or what should be the meat, since apparently I only get eight coins.

I'll unlock nature (quite useful on its own) and take Mend.

I'll also take the art of undeath, giving me soul energy, and take soul seeker and the soul warding etch, allowing me to power up my defense to unbeatable levels.

From shadow, I'll take shadow jump and illusion, allowing me control of the battlefield. This is the element I'll align my staff to, and the element that I'd like to delve deepest into in the future, since all the etches are good and the whole Nocturne line is very useful.

Also in the future, I'd like Life Drain from the undead tree, the battlefield control stuff from Nature, and maybe some Force stuff.

Caravan Guard is a good mission, it's important and the enemies aren't too hard to deal with. Horse mount, I guess.

Scouting is also a useful thing to do with reasonable benefits.

With seven more mana coins, I'll now take Shadow Weapon, Obscurity, Fear Drinker, Nocturne, Masochism, and Life Drain.

For the next mission, it's time to do something worth doing, so let's reclaim a stronghold.Reclaiming the fort will allow us to project force a lot better.

With my points I'll take Umbra, Nightmare, force unlock, density, momentum and finally Unstoppable Force for the fall damage thing.

Anyway, you are missing something important. This isn't a videogame. Even in CYOA land adventure is NOT all about combat. Combat summons are great but you should have some general support summons in there as well. The slime makes healing and other useful potions, carry a fire bloom with you and you won't need to stop and sleep. A fairy with telepathy (own blood) would make an excellent scout and you could keep her around at all times.

All summons are animal blood except the fairy.


The Ember bloom eliminates the need to sleep, and therefor the dangers of setting up camp and resting while on an adventure, it's also a handy light source.

The Fairy can easily scout ahead and report via telepathy, she's also great at getting into hard to reach places.

The Fae Huntress is specifically for nonlethal takedowns, though she's probably a great ranged support in a lethal fight as well.

Arma is my main combatant, great on the front lines and probably more than enough to deal with most threats.

The Fire Giant is for those threats the Arma can't deal with. He only lasts 30 minutes and can't fit indoors, but there's nothing stronger.

Storm Steed can fly, and should be able to take two riders. Not exactly long distance but definitely very practical

The Alarune takes care of basic supplies. Maybe not enough to rely on exclusively, but its better than rations.

Slime covers all our healing and curative needs and probably some buff potions as well, she's a pocket alchemist.

Ritualist is magical support, both in and out of combat.


The only thing I'm really missing is the Destiny Gate to teleport back home. I could replace the Alarune with that and simply bring food from home through the gate. Technically it could also replace the Ember Bloom and simply return home to rest, but just not having to sleep is better.

The thing about the Destiny Gate is it isn't permanent. After 23 hours you lose your "return" capability. A second set of gates would be necessary to use them after 1 day. Take the first set of gates home after 20+ hours, open one of the second set at home, then return and unsummon the first set. There will still be a lapse after a number of days.
