I backed this in the first five minutes back in November but now that my hype has died down and I've been able to view the game more critically, I don't think this is the type of board game I would enjoy. It looks too bloated for my tastes. I mean I like painting models and everything but only for games that I'm actually going to play.

But then again I have a BFGL pledge, so this is the cheapest I'll ever be able to get the game.

I use a cheap Master G23 as a workhorse: primer, basecoat, terrain, etc etc. For more precise work, I've heard great things about the Sotar 20/20. Unless you're quite experienced I wouldn't go too expensive and, honestly, I've doing well with cheap airbrushes from Master. Just take good care of it: making sure the paint is thinned down enough, cleaning, etc etc.

As for compressor, I highly recommend one with a tank, so your compressor isn't constantly pumping which makes a lot of noise and can overheat.

All three of the campaigns above KD:M have defaulted and will not be delivering. Both of the Pebble Time campaigns are issuing refunds to the backers, and the Coolest Cooler failed miserably producing one tiny production run and selling it on the market instead of delivering to backers hoping to pull enough funds to pay for the full run. It's a bad place to be in. Lawsuits are involved.

Honestly, transport shouldn't be too bad. I've given this some thought, and the way I see if you're going over to somewhere to play Kingdom Death then you've got a pretty good idea of what minis you need and you can just bring those. E.g, if I'm going to a friend's place and we're on say LY8 then I know I should bring the Hand, the King's Man, the Antelope, the White Lion and maybe the Phoenix if I think we're going to be ballsy. Then I grab a couple of survivors that fit the description of who we'll be playing and toss everything into a half-sized to-go KR Multicase Box ($60) and off I go.
