That's my Primarch Edition

Funny autism Sub-edition

I'm not sure why I liked previous edition. We had Calthposting, Delegate posting, Rules lawyering and fascism...but it was fun! Oh right, new funny pics :^) . NL are brutally spooky cowards and I'm not sure if Prospero can dwarf the Calthposting seen on previous edition. >>51019360

Perturabo was the fattest, most autistic primarch.
>>
An Imperial, lapdog of the Anathema was teaching an initiate squad on Roboute Guilliman, a known autist."Before the class begins, you must reject all forms of superstition and accept the teachings of the Emperor! Yes goyim you must accept mortals, remembrancers, and custodes as comrades in the Imperium. You must pretentiously analyse battle doctrine to the point where people avoid us". At this moment, a brave, Gal Vorbak Word Bearer Chapter Master who had earned the watch of the Gods and read 'The Book of Lorgar' 1500 times and understood the necessity of the Primordial Truth walked up to the initiate tutor and whipped out his raging BWBC.
"How hard is this cock, faggot?" The arrogant tutor smirked intellectually and replied "That is obscene, undignified, we must conduct ourselves better in the eyes of the Emperor."
"Wrong. It represents my rock solid belief in the holy Word of Lorgar Aurelian that has swooned hundreds of Human maidens, and made them cry through the night. If you really believed in the future of Man and our species' survival, you would have fucked a daemonette by now."
The tutor was visibly shaken, dropping his copy of one of Guilliman's tactical tomes. He stormed out of the fortress courtyard crying and wrote a treatise about how to purge the Imperium's heretics. 1/2

>just want to be friends with everyone
Can someone post Word Bearer books as PDFs for me? I used to have them but for reasons I don't anymore. My phone can't into epub either.

That last thread was a mess though.
>>
There is no doubt that at this point our tutor, Eikos Lahmiad, wished he had become a Word Bearer and become more than a spergy ultracuck. He wished so much that he had a bolter to shoot himself out of embarrassment, but alas, he only had his puny romaboo gladius. The initiates applauded and all joined the XVII Legion that day and accepted the Urizen as their lord and savior. An eagle named "Erebus" flew into the room and perched atop the Colchisian Space Marine chapter standard and shed a tear on the chalk. Texts from the Primarch's works and the twines of fate were read several times, and Sorot Tchure himself showed up to enact the cleansing of all Ultramar scum across the sector. The barracks' lodge collectively chalked the pavement with prayers of hard core Chaos-worship rather than autistic 'Practical/Theoretical'. Seeing these events, the '''''loyalist''''' Tetrarch Macraggian umpah, with pure, undulated Sore Loserman butthurt streaming uncontrollably down his cheeks, backed toward the blast door, saying "No...this is heresy!" Without missing a beat, a Chaplain Dark Apostle, whose name was Eliphas, whipped out his athame and beheaded the evil philo-tyrant.
Praise Lorgar

Ok, here's the most recent iteration with 310 points left, what would you add?

Death Guard, Creeping Death, 2190/2500

HQ (245)

Delegatus - Artificer, Combi and Scythe - 105

Siege Breaker - Artificer, Combi and Thunder Hammer - 140

Elites (530)

Apothecary x2, Artificer x2, Augury Scanner x2- 120

Kheres Mortis - 180

Quad Launcher x3, Phosphex - 240

Troops (690)

20 man Tac Squad, Vexilla, Artificer and Melta on Sarge - 250

20 man Tac Squad, Vexilla, Artificer and Melta on Sarge – 250

10 man Flamer Support Squad, Artificer and Melta on Sarge - 190

Heavy Support (715)

2x Predator Executioner + Dozer - 270

2x Vindicator + Dozer (250)

Sicaran Venator + Dozer (195)

Mass infantry, with HQ's and Apothecaries attached, moving up supported by the flamer squad taking advantage of Creeping Death and squatting on objectives. Flanked by Vindicators and Executioners for killing dudes and TEQs, and hopefully the Venator in the mix will be able to discourage Spartans. Phosphex for killing dudes and also for area denial.

I know it is a minor suggestion but I would throw the support squad in a rhino. Keeps those (more) expensive bodies safe and gives them added mobility.

Maybe something besides the kheres that can go anti air? Normally having 1 anti air (which a kheres mortis does.... ehh okay) and heavy supports is enough, however most of your heavy supports cant even try to hit a flyer.

>That's my Primarch Edition
Wow I got quoted, I feel so honored. Great thread picture too.
>>
So, to avail shitposting, it's time for another one of my shitty homebrews.
The Age of Darkness Battalion Force Organisation Array
It basically works like a Decurion, but with FOCs instead of formations.
Apocalypse Only
Command (0-1)
Battalion Command Force Organisation.
0-1 Lord of War
0-1 HQ
Restrictions: The HQ must be a Praetor, a Delegatus or a unique character with the Master of the Legion special rule. The Lord of War must be a Primarch. The Warlord must be a part of this detachment.
Benefits: A Primarch must take a Primarch Command Squad or normal one. The HQ must take a Command Squad, which lose the Chosen Warriors special rule and become full Characters. A single Space Marine Chosen gains the Consul special rule. The Consul must be from one of the following: Herald, Chaplain, Primus Medicae, Champion, Master of Signal, Siegebreaker.

Core Companies (1+)
Each Core Company is a Battles in the Age of Darkness Organization Chart. Other than your Captain, only Centurions and Consuls may be taken as HQs. All Core Companies must take the same Rite of War (out of a limited selection shown below), or all must take no Rite of War. The Rite of War chosen for your Core Companies gives it's restrictions to the entire Battalion other than restrictions reating to choices for compulsory slots (I.E. taking Armoured Breakthrough doesn't force all your auxiliary companies to have Predators for there compulsory choices, but it does force all infantry to buy a dedicated transport, if possible).

Useable Rites of War in a Core Company:
Angel's Wrath.
Armoured Spearhead.
Orbital Assault.
Armoured Breakthrough.
Sky Hunter Phalanx.
Drop Assault Vanguard.

(cont...)
>>
>>51028655
This bits less worked out, which is what I need help with.

Auxiliary Companies (0-1 fewer than the number of Core Companies in the Battalion)
Auxiliary companies allow you to take more unusual forces of marines and make use of the other FOCs with Rites of War.

Onslaught Force Organization Chart

Castellan Force Organization Chart
Not useable if your Core Rite of War prohibits Fortifications.

Leviathan Force Organization Chart
0-1

Basically the whole thing attempts to portray a battalion/great company/chapter/crusade/brotherhood/whatever, where the regular Force Org is for a company.
>>
>>51028483
Give the flamer dudes combat weapons and a rhino.
Give the tac squads combat weapons.
Add a plasma support squad, phosphex on quads is only AP3 IIRC. Give em a rhino too.
>>
>>51028543
Why contain it?
>>
You name a kid Mortarion and you're setting yourself up for trouble. You're implying death and killing with his name, don't keep an eye on him and he goes and starts killing people you wish he didn't. What did you expect?

On the topic of names, GW proving it's British naming someone Lionel Johnson. We're lucky it's not Reginal d'Goodwin of the Ultramarines.

I have a feeling that The Emperor didn't name any of them, and that's why he still thinks of them as the Ninth, Sixteenth, etc. (in some books, not all). The names we know are their adoptive names, more likely to have been influenced by the forces of Chaos that chose their destinations than by ol' Emps.
>>
>>51028768
Sadly, it only boosts the invulnerable save of models in range, not units. So you can still do that, but it has to walk at the front so the dudes taking the shots are in range of the pavisse.

FOCs and RoWs are on themselves a sort of formation where all your army is the formation, so they have smaller boosts and their limitations work assuming you're taking them as an army on their own.
So FOCs that limit the amount of scoring troops you get to bring aren't a real limit, considering you can still bring more than enough troops in your main Core Company (AoD FOC)

You'd need to use real formations.
Hear me out, as long as they are balanced and hand out relatively weak or passive bonuses they'll be fine.
On a historical note, how were formations from the days of Damocles recieved? Were they balanced for their time?
>>
>>51028797
So does this mean that the Primarch's "True Names" are canonically just numbers in either High Gothic or Ancient Sumerian/Whatever Emp's first language is?
>>
>>51028911
No, because BL isn't canon.

Imagine Mortarion getting a heartattack every time somebody said fourteen.

>When is the latest plague fleet going to arrive at the designation I send them to ?
>In fourteen days my lord
>AAAAAAAAAAAARGH ... CURSES, WHY DID HE GIVE US NAMES THAT ARE NUMBERS ?!?!!! WHAT KIND OF AUTISTIC FUCK DOES THAT !?!!!!!
>>
>>51028892
So, what if I took it upon myself to edit the RoWs?

A little janking with the restrictions should help.
>So FOCs that limit the amount of scoring troops you get to bring aren't a real limit
If a RoW represents a company being more than it's squads, surely the array could be said to represent the battalion being more than it's companies?

>>51028834
Mortarion's name is indeed "Fourteen". But here's the thing: his name is in modern english and nobody speaks modern english anymore, and nobody has spoken it for like 30,000 years.
Only the Emperor even remembers the language.
Example, the Emperor's true name is some pre-hitite pre-protoIndoeuropean COMMON-AS-FUCK name...but nobody even remembers what His language was, good luck guessing it.

Which may or may not be Urist.

It's like being japanese and trying to guess some dude's name is "Catorce", but way more difficult because you write in chinky letters and his name is referring to a translated version of an arabic number.

Here, have naming actual stuff in 30k
>>
>>51028958
Well I mean that would only happen if they were speaking high gothic, though someone would probably take notice if the primarchs started having seizures every time they counted to twenty
>>
>>51028958
The Combat Phase podcast had a really long episode celebrating 10 years since Horus Rising, and at least one author said that a big difference between writing for BL and writing, say, Star Wars or Star Trek novels was that BL was indeed canon. Not necessarily reliable canon, but canon nonetheless. It's no less factual than anything found in a codex or FW black book.

I know we're not fans of Laurie Goulding here but he at least tried to make the HH BL novels self-consistent.

Idea:
The Main Legion-specific RoW would work with the Core Company, but the secondary legion-specific would work as an Auxiliary company.

Example:
>Command
Perturabo + Primarch Command Squad with Forgelord (You should let him include Iron Circle models)
>Core 1
Hammer of Olympia line company
>Core 2
Armoured Spearhead
>Auxilary 1
Ironfire Assault Artillery company
>Auxiliary 2

Well in 40k there is this supposedly ancient language that gives those that know the words power over the material realm to such an extend that they might as well be powerfull psykers. Except even non-psykers can use it. I think it was first mentioned in the Eisenhorn series.

Maybe everybody has a true name in that language ? Though with even those that know about it only knowing a handfull of words at most, I doubt it's used much.
>>
>>51030237
True names affects warp-flesh (but not the named one's psychic powers themselves).
If I spoke your true name, your warp-flesh would explode. All 0.00 kg of it.

It's called Enuncia. Lexicanum has a small article about it.

>Enuncia is an ancient language, but instead of communication, the language was used as a tool or a weapon: when spoken aloud or written, Enuncia was capable of manipulating the very fabric of reality, a power beyond even the most potent psykers. It was incredibly dangerous, especially since it required no natural psyker ability, and could potentially be used by anyone

So, in a battle that engulfed several systems comprising many worlds filled with people where weapons of mass destruction and space battles happened, they only lost about as many mortals as the Battle of Somme (1'000,000 casualties in 5 months), one of many bloody battles fought on one of Earth's wars.

I'm not entirely sure where those numbers are drawn from (the forgeworld book, maybe? I don't think Know no Fear went into numbers), but it's actually one instance of the older fluff being a better representation of a multi-planet war than the new.

Old fluff had the smurfs gunning down millions of disposable cultists and daemons on calth, and that's before the retcons to 200,000-strong legions happened.

Not that anon, I did think of that but we must remember that after he got out of jail he somehow acquired and plugged in all the relics.
He's wielding the Vhodian sceptre, that's the personal staff of the supreme leader of all Xana.
Scoria probably used the loyalist distraction to get the former Prime killed, possibly using his patented non-euclidian Cybernetica.
Emaciated prisoner he was, but now he's the top Ursid and we all know Xana ends up as a hell forge in the Eye, so he's still got quite some road to travel.

Way more than that. He has primarch level army buffs and kit. More so in the kit department.

He would be blatantly OP if he had more mobility. But having a MC bodyguard is pretty good.

That has nothing to do with cost however. It's kit and rules that contribute to it. Otherwise plasma pistols would be cheaper on humans etc. We just got lucky his transport options are limited. He needs to be primarch level in cost. Not having a separate model to cart him around isn't factored in.

Or just redone so he's not bonkers powerful.

In fact the more I think about it the more Draigo really just seems like a 40k Sigismund and we all know Siggy is at least capable of maybe taking out a wounded Primarch.

Siggy is WS7, Draigo is WS6 with preferred enemy daemons and master crafted.

Both are S7 on the charge, siggy gets ID from challenges, Draigo gets it from hammerhand or force.

Siggy is I6 on the charge, Draigo is just I5.

Siggy forces invulnerable saves to be rerolled, Draigo can have higher strength and has hatred+preferred enemy daemons.

Siggypoo has a 4+, Draigo has a 3+

Sigs is 230, Draigo is 245
A lot of parallels now that I look at it

Sigs: preferred enemy - Primarchs
Draigo: preferred enemy - Daemon Primarchs

Are the Solar Auxilia more like the imperial guard or the Militarium Tempust? I want to get into 30k but I've always played space marines in 40k so I wanted to try something different.

>>51033816
Mix of Tempestus with IG Tonks. Biased promo is biased, but it's fun.
>Why play Solar Auxilia
>Because you like Stormtroopers but find their list hideously lacking in the vehicle department, and you like the Imperial Guard but not their 5+ cardboard save. But most of all, it's because you like 80's sci-fi tin men and this is the Militarum Tempestus 30k equivalent. Seriously, you're able to make a force with decent survival ability as well as the large numbers and fire-power of classic Guard, not to mention Commanders that can go toe-to-toe with a Space Marine Captain (or Praetor in 30k). Also, all our vehicles are better than the average IG ones, and that's modesty: better AV, Melta immunity and we can field some Superheavies as normal heavy options.

I'd say that any day of revelation list worth its salt is going to be taking 15-20 assault marines in each blob, adding an apothecary, and probably another character as well. That's enough to give you the opportunity to take a couple of melta bombs, plus several combi-meltas and/or up to 6 inferno pistols, not to mention things like power fists or thunder hammers. That's a fair bit of opportunity to include some armour-cracking devices, probably at a lower cost than the 100 points you'd need to drop on melta bombs, and with some ability to be used on non-vehicle targets.

It seems to be a common problem with the warlord - they've managed to get rid of any loss of detail, but on the flip side there's big ass gaps everywhere. I'd much rather have gaps though, they're easier to deal with than replacing detail.

For example the weapons, especially the volcano cannon, all have massive gaps between the joins, nearly as large as the ones under the intakes. Lots of people have been unhappy about this.

Gods, you guys are annoying.

Primarchs get models when they're personally involved in combat in a black book. Dorn and Alpharius haven't yet. It should happen when the traitors reach the Solar System, but I don't see that happening until after we get the rumored DA/BA book, a book with WS and who knows what else (chaosified EC and daemon prince Fulgrim - maybe Angron too on the other side of the galaxy), the Martian Civil War, Tallarn, the chaosification of the DG, Molech and Anvillus... so Dorn and Alpharius should be out in 2020.

Actually I did make a mistake, Stormlords can't take targeters. Still BS 4 with preferred enemy infantry is savage.
>30 shots
>Hit on 4+
>Preferred Enemy
>Wound marines on a 2+
>AP 3

Combine with 4 lascannons, 4 twin-linked heavy bolters, and a pintle heavy bolter, and you can reasonably expect to wipe out an entire blob of 20 marines a turn. Alternatively take a stormsword with a commander. Str 10 AP 1 ten inch blast with preferred enemy. Wipe out a unit of firedrakes a turn pretty much.

Overall solar auxilia is pretty crazy.
>Can field up to 4 super heavies in a list
>Can field up to 6 leman russ squadrons
>Basic transports can be armed with a demolisher cannon
>Basic transports have 5 hull points
>One tank can get preferred enemy infantry
>Can reasonably field over a hundred models with strength 6 guns (blast chargers)
>Can easily spam multilasers for massed strength 6
>Can field up to 3 units of techpriests to keep their numerous vehicles alive

Actually thinking of building a list with a tank commander/targeter shadowsword. Not useful but the idea of a Solar Auxilia commander with a BS of 5 is glorious.

Also the idea of malcador spam combined with a stormhammer seems cool. Four super heavy tanks, each with an AP 2 blast and an AP 3 blast, malcadors have flare shields for pseudo AV 14 while still being fast. For bonus points take some LRBTs for more fast tanks with battle cannons.
>8 Battlecannons
>3 Demolisher cannons
>1 Str 9 AP 2, 7" blast with a 72" range and shred
>40 hull points
>All AV 14 or flare shield 13 on front
>Fuck it just use blast weapons for anti-tank
>>

I want to represent Skaven using Imperial Cults and Militias but I am unsure which pair of Provenances to use.
Cult Horde seems good for the mobs but snapshots take away from my spewing poison aesthetic
Tainted Flesh seems awesome with rending but the sheer number of levy squads seems incredibly hindering when I want to add some big rat-ogryn and vehicles to represent certain things.
Feral Warriors seems good albeit lacklustre compared to the others.
Alchemist jackers is as fluffy as well but also seems lacklustre.

>>
>>51041091
I definitely wouldn't use cult horde. Fearless isn't a special rule skaven should ever have.

Feral warriors seems very appropriate however.
>>
>>51041091
Feral Warriors' and Alchem-jackers' bonus abilities that you pay per unit synergize very well together for a combined +2 attackers per model in the units with both upgrades. Ogryn are running around with 7 attacks on the charge each (if you give them CCWs or power weapons), as many as a pimped out praetor and can wound marines on a 2+ with AP 2 weapons if you give them power axes. Grenadiers can be pseudo strength 4 with all those attacks and WS 4 from feral warriors thanks to augmented weapons. They can reasonably outfight marines in CC.
>>
>>51041119
Meant 3+.

Is a Stormsword, Hellhammer or Stormlord ever worth taking as Admech? I want one, but we can't really fill up the Stormlord and they're all expensive as hell in points. I kind of want to get one and mod it up, and there's a few buffs that should work on it, right? Enginseers for guaranteed repair, Ordo Reductor magi, do Archimandrites give it IWND?
>>
>>51041132
Valid, I'll strike that off the list.

>>51041153
Good point. Those are strong contenders. The rending is tempting as it sounds nice for hordes of rats mauling things with their claws and teeth but if I'm packing a bunch of Ogryn with poweraxes anyway then it's a bit excessive. Plus the volume of hits and the flexibility with the other Feral+Alchem seems more worth it.

No anon, that conversion looks like shit.
>>

You don't need to fill up a stormlord completely. Also you could make it a fire base for conversion beamers.
>3x 2 Techpriest squads with conversion beamers: 405 points
Nearly doubles the cost of your unit but now you have some self repair ability as well as 6 conversion beamers.
Also could stuff some myrmidon destructors in there. More conversion beamers, more lethal conversion beamers. Also can let you take techpriests for the sole purpose of repairing.

anon you're forgetting the best thing about tank commanders
as some one whose first solar auxilia will arrive on Friday here is my plan for the ultimate party bus
>stormlord tank commander
>pick scout
>get masade
>get 4 sponsons with tl heavy flamers
>put a heavy flamer as a pintle mount
>cram a flamer section and veletarii in
>optionally take 3 enginseers with servitors for either haywire gl or servo arms repair fuckery
>turn 1
>masade allows the stormlord to be redeployed wherever the fuck you want in your deployment zone or in reserves
>scout lets it move 12 inches
>can move another 6 inches at combat speed or 12 inches at cruising speed so tank shock is a gogo if there is a sufficiently juicy target
>if anything tries to charge it they get overwatched by 4 tl heavy flamers, 1 heavy flamer , 9 flamers , 1 hand flamer and 20 st5 ap 5 deflagrate shots fired at bs2
bonus points for playing this while doing your first turn

I have a question.

Book II; Massacre states that "In order to represent this diversity when it comes to Super-heavy vehicles and Flyers,
it is perfectly acceptable to use specific Imperial Super-heavy vehicles and Flyer units from Forge World's
wider Imperial Armour range such as Imperial Armour; Apocalypse or Imperial Armour Aeronautica, which do not already
have an era-specific counterpart listed in a Horus Heresy supplement".

Does this mean I can take Macharius tanks from Imperial Armour: Apocalypse in 30k? With my Space marines/Solar Auxilia/Imperial Militia?

Could I give them flare shields?
>>
>>51041678
the redeploy allows the stormlord to move to where it is least likely to encounter such fuckery
and if its unavoidable, 8 bs3 haywire shots with 24 inch range can take care of it
>>
>>51041684
>Does this mean I can take Macharius tanks from Imperial Armour: Apocalypse in 30k? With my Space marines/Solar Auxilia/Imperial Militia?

>Could I give them flare shields?
No

>>51041684
Yes, since they're not in anyone's Army List.

No, since you may only give it wargear that it may take and is not 40k-specific, and iirc, they don't have them to purchase.
>>
>>51041711
8 shots, 4 hits, 2 are saved, remaining 2 are likely glances. It may still reach you since they often come in a pod.

>>
>>51041684
In a legion list you can take a Macharius, but I don't see how you'd be able to give them flare shields. They get most of their options in the IA book (minus any M41-specific ones) plus space marine crew.

Sadly that rule got "updated" - there's now a list, but it does include machariuses, the list is now:
Baneblade, Banehammer, Stormlord, Shadowsword, Stormsword, any Macharius variant, any Crassus variant, Marauder Bomber or it's variants, an Avenger Strike Fighter, a Thunderbolt Fighter or a Minotaur, all of which it can be given a Marine crew, but that's it.

Personally, I wanted a Hellhammer, but that competes with the Stormsword, and kinda shits on the Typhon, so it's one of the few that's not allowed

Eh, I'd rather him not have the bullshit turn one charge. Just make him a more powerful fighter. Leman Russ gets WS:9 for comparison.

Still, Sanguinius as shown here can't really compete with Horus.

It's not my fault! I was trying to do something more like Uni's Sigi (that I can't seem to find right now) pic but with Mortarion. So I went to HH1 but it kept talking about how Morty was a Big Man and fluid phosphex and stuff...
It was simply the logical outcome :^)

Heh, right.
By the way, I noticed DG Warlord traits were absent:

#1 Unbroken Blade: The Warlord is Fearless and has the FnP(4+) special rule
#2 Preternatural Resilience: The Warlord has the Eternal Warrior and It Will Not Die special rules.
#3 Dusk Raider: If wished, from turn 2 onwards Night Fighting rules are automatically used. The Warlord's army (both Primary and Allied detachments) has the Night Vision special rule.
#4 Manreaper: The Warlord causes Fear, is immune to it and enemies testing for Fear against him have a -1Ld modifier.
#5 Witchspite: The Warlord has Adamantium Will and Hatred against units where a model has the Psyker special rule.
#6 Echoes of Old Night: The Warlord gains a Phosphex bomb and a chosen Infantry unit gains Preferred Enemy (Infantry)

Hello /tg/

I'm starting a Solar Auxilia force but i'm at a loss for color schemes.

The theme of the Cohort is entirely Terran-Borns. What colors would a urban fighting-centric, Terran-born Solar Auxilia cohort look like?

This is my first Storm Section done.

I justvatsryed collecting 30k minis and wanted to have an idea for a fluffy yet some competitive. Normally play at 3k points. I've been able to proxy my 40k DAs in friendly games but I can't stand doing so. I know they're sub par but I was looking at the stone guantlet and like the idea of having a tough front line, which would include 3 groups of 15 breachers with an apothecary and upgrades to deal with light armor, and infantry, namely rhinos which are a huge meta amongst my group.

A squad of termites with vigil shields and thunder hammers/power fist to fight super heavy infantry and armor with my preator tagging along with a shield and Sol power fist, transported with a spartan.

A squad of vets with HB and a rhino

I was thinking to adding a heavy support squad with lascannons, possible middle launchers to crack heavy armor at long range.

I know I'm lacking in heavy armor and artillery but these units are what I want to build around, do you think this would be a solid core to build around? It's a lot different than I've played with before and want some feedback.
>>
>>51043099
>>51043114
Seems a bit bare-bones for a RoW.
>>
>>51043118
no that would be armour piercing rounds, i.e. ap3 or reroll pens
>>
>>51043130
Of course there'd be more, but I thought of that to balance out when fighting Fists, and need to think of what other legions IW would have tactica for fighting.
RG maybe and make it so you have to take Vox and the other locator thing when possible to simulate a garrisonned force as best as possible
>>
>>51043083
Well the main book has Immovable object giving both IWND and Fearless, so I tried to make WTs depicting "this nigga won't move aside" and "how come he is still standing"
>>
>>51043129
It's an expensive sink for breachers if you face artillery, otherwise would be pretty tough. It'd be ready cool to see heavy sorry squads for long range AT and even some fortifications could benefit all of those infantry I'd think
>>
>>51043141
as long as your army stand still they become bs5, seems like a good thing to have when you're sitting in a fortified position
>>
>>51043207
>they become bs5,
Like Fists? :^)
>>
>>51043083
>fearless ... are things you should pay for
Paladins of Glory exist.
>>
>>51043193
yeah but the main book is written with half of the armies having Atsknf in mind and as such giving fearless isn't much compared to what other warlords traits gives in 40k codex
>>
>>51043242
apart from they only get bs5 bolters, so plasma suppourts now hitting on 2+'s, you better have brought those stormshields ;^)
>>
>>51042939
the night fighting from turn 2 seems very strong , love the fluff behind the rule tho , maybe make it turn 4
>>51043083
eternal warrior is a warlord trait in 30k so there is a precedent
IWND is to much though
>>
>>51043255
i was thinking of fearless AND fpn4+, taken separately they are fine, but together they turn your praetor into one helluva tough son of a bitch
>>
>>51043309
>helluva tough son of a bitch
Like Mortarion?
>>
>>51043306
>>51043193
oh apparently there is a precedent for IWND and eternal warrior to, so i stand corrected sorry
>>
>>51043129
Check out the last Radio Free Isstvan podcast (ep. 36). They go over a Stone Gauntlet list and tear it apart for not giving the breachers any transport. You should find it helpful.
>>
>>51043341
where ?
>>
>>51043278
Death Guards are already immune to fear, but alright.
Make him Stubborn and FnP(4+) then ?
>>51043306
How about it begins on turn two but continues on a 3+ and then a 4+ and then a 5+ and such?
>>
>>51043357
doesn't make sense considering it's dusk
>>
>>51043357
the main bonus of Atsknf is not the immunity to fear, but the impossibility to get sweep-advanced, trust me I'm a sallie player and I FUCKING wish they were'nt so slow :'\
and stubborn and fpn4+ seems fitting for a son of mortarion
>>
>>51043356
oh i thought Immovable object was a warlord trait

eternal warrior on it's own is a SA trait
>>
>>51043279
don't forget that they get to reroll get-hots as well
>>
>>51043357
>>51043424
It should start as 6+ on turn two, then get darker and darker (i.e. the cover gets better).
>>
>>51043443
SA ? you mean 40k salamanders ?
>>
>>51043451
Now that's just OP and what I expect in 4 not 30k
>>
>>51043424
Well that's why I said it began from turn two onwards, but considering >>51043452 then how about its night turn one on a 6+, if not then on a 5+ turn two and so on?
But frankly it would feel like a RoW by that point.
Better then
Dusk Raider: Three infantry units have Scout and 3+D3 units have Night Vision
>>
>>51043452
skipping over 1/3rd of your opponents AP weapons for 3 turns while having no negative effect of your own is ridiculously strong though
>>
>>51043452
I know they used to be called the dusk warriors, and dusk is the end of evening and beginning of night, but I thought they actually came at first light
>>
>>51043435
I'm aware of that. Thing is the warlord won't buckle until he's killed, rather than overrun.
I mean mechanically he could be Stubborn Ld10 immune to Fear and Pinning...
Come on, anon, let him be Fearless like a Paladin of Barbarus ;^)
>>
>>51043493

>>
>>51043200
Checked

The group that regularly play are real chill and very anti WAAC, I've seen a single alrtilery piece amongst most list so I've not to worries they'd be wiped before performing their intended use which is to cover objectives and form a wall for long range support from getting caught in melee. The map we normally play on has a lot of cover to use so there is a chance of melee which the breachers should perform well in with defensive charges

>>51043342
Thanks for pointing that out. This would be the first list of mine to have breachers, I tend to use heavy vet and termie list along with seekers to give drop pods non scatter and help pin point my medusa.
Thanks for the input bros.
>>
>>51043525
YEAH lexicanum says as such
>As the Unification Wars came to an end and the Great Crusade began, the Emperor gave them the title of the Dusk Raiders, a nod to their use of the ancient Albian tactic of conducting major ground attacks at twilight when the shift of light confused an enemy's watch and gathering shadow would advance across open ground.[16a]
That source is
>16: The Horus Heresy Book One - Betrayal 16a: pgs. 120-129
And twilight is the time between night and morning.
This is 'bare ceramite' levels of wrong
>>
>>51043551
I'll never be able to play against your proud and remorseless sons of barbarus, so feel free to play your praetor that way.
could we settle that with fearless and fnp5+ though ?
>>
>>51042681
Alright, let me figure this out. Sang has the mobility advantage by far so I'm going to give him the charge. I'm doing this without taking psychics into account. I'll try doing another one with them added later.

Turn 1: Sang swings with 8 attacks, 4 hit, 4 wounds, after saves and IWND, .9 goes through. Horus swings back with 6 attacks, 3 hit, 2.7 wounds, after invuls he takes .9 wounds, after IWND he takes .6 wounds

Turn 2: Sang swings for 6, 3 hit, 1.5 wounds, .3 wounds after saves and IWND. Then Horus repeats above.

Sang gets hosed unless the psychic powers can make a difference. The powers themselves aren't that reliable either.
