What is a good HQ option for a Cybernetica army that is not:

Sataraeeeeel. You know who that Inar Satarael is or does? He died once, said he was sick of that shit and decided to come back.
>>
>>50758789
Satarael is pretty nice, he allows you to take Cyber-Occularis at full capacity, gives what few vehicles you may have IWND, boosts reserves, has LD10 Cybertheurgy, is nice and tough and denys Slay the Warlord and any other points that the enemy might get for killing him on a 3+, including the D3 for Cortex Control removal.

He's basically everything you want in a HQ unit for Cybernetica in one man, only thing lacking is Eternal Warrior.
>>

Take Satarael or make an Archmagos Myrmidax/Ordinator to go with your Magos Dominus.

Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya, a (mostly) more upbeat magical girl spin off of the Fate franchise.

But really what you want for Black Library references is any anime series where a character is into dude on dude, politely referred to as Boy's Love or, topically, BL.
>>
>>50758957
It says "Any Victory Points" so it includes the D3 if he was the last Controller in your army. Seeing as he is hard as nails, that's fairly likely.
I just have a massive tech-boner for Cyber-Occularis, so I take pretty much any opportunity to nab some.
They do so much good it is unreal.

My rule is If enemy has Primarch, Scoria.
If enemy does not have Primarch, Inar Satarael

Stay Night, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel are three different versions of the same timeline based off which girl the MC is going to stick his dick into.

Zero is a prequel to those three.

Kaleid Liner has no relation other than using established characters. It's pretty much just AU Fanfiction.

Carnival Phantasm is a non-cannon slice of life comedy series. Pic related.

I'm reading the new Carcharadon short from the advent today

Theres a character called the Pale Nomad.

Theres a part where the sharks are standing in silence to the humans but they hear clicking of vox transmitters as the marines have a private convo in their helms. its super eerie and i love it,

>‘The concept of individual honour is a dead thing,’ Te Kahurangi replied, quoting from Beyond the Veil of Stars. ‘It is a lie invented by arrogant men to excuse their own foolhardiness.’

love it
>>
>>50760769
It's very important those Deathshroud use those Manreaperslike the Power Scythes they are instead of like unwieldy Power axes. So unless they have Move through cover from the Reaping their LR either has Frag Assault launchers or you avoid difficult terrain.
>>
>>50761013
So have any of their novels confirmed or denied that Carcharadons returning Raven Guard legionnaires who were exiled by Corax on those Predation Fleets?
>>
How are veterans with marksmen and heavy bolters while the rest get power weapons? Aiming them to be more anti robots and anti troops.

>>50761013

Honestly, plasma guns will probably get more work done for you than heavy bolters. I really don't understand why nobody seems to put them on veterans.
>>
>>50761205
Is plasma still worth using with marksmen?
>>
>>50761205
I play Imperial Fists, so BS 5, Sniper Heavy Bolters are pretty alright. Since they're Assault weapons thanks to suspensor webs both HBs can fire out of the Rhino's fire points while the squad stays safe and sound until they get to whereever they need to get out. A unit of Imperial Fists Veteran Tacticals with two HBs deal more wounds against MEQ than a unit of 20 Tacticals from another legion. They're pretty darn useful.
>>
>>50761244
Yes, but it works against the benefits of the rule.
You'll already wound almost all the time and already hit at AP2.
A question I'm wondering about is how Sniper works with template and blast weapons of the squad.
>>
>>50761244
Always thought that was a weird rule interaction, that some stuff gets less lethal with sniper. Anyway, yeah, I'd say so. AP2 is brilliant, especially in a marine-heavy environment like 30k.

But don't discount xenobane and combiplasmas if you're thinking of going after robots. It's one shot, but it's mighty effective.

>>50761314
Alright, but are they still worth it on the 17 legions that don't get bonuses to bolter weapons?
>>
>>50761171
No it doesn't, who told you that ?

>>50761354
With template and blast weapons, Sniper means any to wound roll of 6 is AP 2. Because headshots with FWOOSH and shrapnel are a thing I guess ...
>>
>>50761109
This short is rife with shoutouts to pale nomad fluff. Its dripping with references.

I really think that the terran XIX are the 'ancestors'. Over time the Sharks have changed, blended gene seed, and 'as-is' arent terran XIX, but are definitely direct descendants. So to say the Sharks are a different Chapter of RG isnt accurate. The Terran XIX were never proper RG, they were terran XIX. The are descended from them, but they are a new entity now, which is where a lot of people get confused.

"They have X and Y, that makes them Z!"

Well not exactly. Ashen claws steal Night Lords stock to blend and keep operational. That doesnt make them Night Lords, Night lords is a culture. Ashen Claws arent even Raven Guard. They are Terran descended renegades called the Ashen Claws with XIX, and now VIII gene stock, probably XIII stock too. We know they raided ultras like the night lords, there just isn't a 'lore excerpt' that says it specifically in book 6 like there is for the NL stock.

>>50761168
>loyalist Night Lords
Nobody whos read enough, and isnt opinionated, actually believes that. It is either shitposting or people who dont have enough information/dont understand/refuse the obvious.

Here's another excerpt:
>‘You think the Void Father cares if we wait an hour or two?’ Strike Veteran Dorthor rumbled. ‘We must follow protocol. The Edicts of Exile were not issued by the Forgotten One in vain.’

Void Father is probably emps, another time they ask who rules this world in 'The Void Fathers Name'. Forgotten one is probably Fal, maybe even corax. Hell it could be Malcador. They did have ancient orders from terra, and Malcador is all but forgotten to time. Malcador did like his clandestine operations.
>>
>>50761167
Its the name of the chief librarian in the short. might be an honorary name too. The culture has some similarities to terran XIX xetric tribe roots, the use of axes, their demeanor, but it has evolved over time and is all about V O I D.
>>
>>50761427
>>50761466
its me again, i forgot they talk about the "Blindess" and it is exactly like the Sable Brand/Ash Blindness from HH3
>>
>>50761466
So Carcharodons are like Space Wolves now, instead of WOLFWOLFWOLF it's VOIDVOIDVOID
>>
>>50761399
>No it doesn't, who told you that ?
>"It's very important those Deathshroud use those Manreaperslike the Power Scythes they are instead of like unwieldy Power axes. So unless they have Move through cover from the Reaping their LR either has Frag Assault launchers or you avoid difficult terrain."

Sounds awfully lot like either get MTC or frag launchers, so that I won't be swinging at I1.
>>
>>50761617
Ha nothing will ever match the sheer amount of WOLF the SWs have. But the Void theme is deeply embedded alongside predator motifs, talismans, 'exile' tattoos(which sound like the terran XIX tats). They do sound similar in that renamed a lot of things, Void Father as Emps for example.

They also follow the Ashen Claws and Predation Fleet protocols, 'recruit' from worlds forcibly.

>>50761137
They were rebels. The Sharks didnt care. Presumably from the intro they got a notice saying 'hey investigate this' and used that as a guise to recruit/induct the planets population as a Red Tithe aka the title of the upcoming shark novel.

Right-o.
>>
>>50762051
Intuitively blast templates and scattering make this a lot more difficult to calculate. Basically if you're good with scatter dice then plasma are worth more by a long shot, and plasma allows you to threaten a wider range of targets (terminators, light armour, etc.) Gets Hot isn't too, too scary as each shot has a 5.55% chance of killing the firing model. High enough that it'll happen regularly (once a game at least) but low enough that you'll still earn the points back by dropping a blast template onto a fat squad of Tacticals where regardless of the scatter you're going to murder some traitors.
>>
>>50762051
Let's not forget that Heavy Bolters allowing you to assault means that they do have something to justify their 5 points extra cost over plasma guns. Though they do seem to be less effective in pure shooting than the sniper Heavy Bolters, being allowed to charge means you add a bunch more S4 attacks on top of all the damage youv'e done in the shooting round.
>>
>>50762313
People often seem to underestamate charging veterans, but that's 40 attacks on the charge for a full unit. Even without melee upgrades that is going to do at least some damage.

>once charged stranded firedrakes with 3 veteran squads
>drowned them in armoursaves
>free to shoot next turn
>>
>>50762197
>Gets Hot isn't too, too scary as each shot has a 5.55% chance of killing the firing model. High enough that it'll happen regularly (once a game at least) but low enough that you'll still earn the points back by dropping a blast template onto a fat squad of Tacticals

Thinking of plasma cannons, my bad. There was a thing that came up a while back with the Haemotrope Reactors (I think that's what they were called) where I could stick a Plasma Cannon Heavy Support squad on them and they turn into a rape festival with the Tank Hunters and stuff. Other than that I don't really use plasma.

It gives regular plasma weapons the Blast rule (which is why I messed up) and Plasma Cannons get the Large Blast rule. At the cost of Getting Hot on 1s and 2s. Imperial Fists Heavy Support Squads get Tank Hunters from their LA rule.
>>
>>50762823

>>50762881

You could save them for an independent character, perhaps?

Else I'd say all three of those are decent choices, though I'd say if you have two tac sergeants in need of weapons, and two weapons in need of wielders, it would be pottery to put them on the sergeants, as well as aesthetically impressive.

People often say not to bother putting anything but a power fist on sergeants, since they won't kill anything with more than one wound any other way, but the beauty of the power scythe is that you might kill low-rank characters outfitted according to that convention.

So therefore I'd say you would be well served putting them on the sergeant of a squad like the chem-flamer squad, ironically enough.
If it's a GEQ-squad that's survived five to ten flamer templates, then the +1 attack will benefit them greatly, and if it's marines that you're trying to drown in poisonous flames, then the AP2 at greater than initiative 1 will be exactly what you need to guarantee a victory against your enemy's sergeant (unless he has a power sword or decides to pistol-whip your guy to death at I4).

TLDR: Tacs for style, Flamers for substance.

Now you make me wanna put them on tacticals and the flamer squad. My reasoning for tactical sergeants is that if the enemy has an AP2 weapon, he's most likely hitting at I1, so the sergeants gets to swing first, and if they're swinging at initiative, they likely don't have AP2 and thus Artificer Armour would protect the sergeants (to some extent).

The flamer squad I'm trying to model as proper poison huffer destroyer equivalents, just spewing poison and rad grenades everywhere, so the scythe would suit them as well. Decision, decisions...

>~t. Imperial Fists guy jelly of the dakka ("fwoosh"?) the Death Guard put out, plus how damn 'ard they are.

Yeah. Chem-flamers, grave warden two shot poison grenade launchers, terminators in every field, and RoWs that give either 5+ cover in the open or rad grenades and Move Through Cover to go with the natural 4+ FNP vs. Poison (fuck you, Phosphex, you're not my real dad!)

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of chapters alleged to be successors to loyalist legions actually had their first members made up of left-overs from traitor legions. After a while there'd be no way to tell that they were ever genetically descended from traitor Primarchs.

That's where chapters with 'Unknown' or 'Chimeric' geneseed come from. Things like how the it's becoming increasingly clear that Dantioch's remaining loyalist Iron Warriors formed the basis for the Silver Skulls Chapter along with Ultramarine recruits.
>>
>>50764365
Personally I think that the Scythes of the Emperor might be a chapter with mixed ancestry which is Ultramarines and Iron Warriors. I know they're confirmed UM descendants with some fluff in the HH but they might have some IW thrown in with them. Their black and yellow color scheme reminds me of the Iron Warriors fetish with Hazard stripes. Then there's the fact their home world was Sotha which is where Dantioch fought and died. Maybe the new found chapter took in some loyalist Iron Warriors they fought along with. If not a genetic relationship them the color scheme might be homage to loyalist IW like Dantioch.
>>
>>50764521
Dantioch brought some IW with him from the Schadenhold, but they vanished from the plot immediately.

‘This is the leader of the rebellion?’ the one with the horrific, bared head demanded, looming over Caderik and Thornvyl. The boy nodded, suddenly lost for words. Without hesitation or ceremony, the giant snatched Thornvyl and snapped his neck.
‘No,’ Maudlin cried out. ‘You can’t! We need due process. We need to display them publicly to the rest of the colony.’
‘You can still display them,’ the giant said, stepping over Thornvyl’s twitching corpse.
‘I-I said they could live,’ Caderik stammered, cringing back from the Space Marine.
‘I came to this world to reap, not to judge,’ the Carcharodon said. ‘And that is what I will do.’
The gore-streaked monster hefted his chainaxe. The executions did not take long.

Other notable things from the space sharks short
they arent loyalist berserkers. They are VERY disciplined and level headed(outside the Blindness). But its interesting the way they talk to each other. They talk informally like old friends(helps their the command squad from the "Third", but of course on prvate internal vox comms. But they will stand in formation, motionless until ordered. They also know when to fade into the shadows and let enemies pass. They behave very similarly to RG vets, but much 'darker' in their banter. They also dont speak to other people or even move unless necessary. Giving them a quiet, inhuman dark menacing vibe around them. They def have a predator mindset and behave like one. Its great.

It is regular behavior for some.
People think it is a rarity for the RG, but that's simply because Lord Corax exiled the old legion. The ones who used up +90% of the mortal forces attached to them as bait, blew up the city, killed everyone and called it victory.
And victory it was, because within the week the Mechanicum had repaired the thing for the Imperium.
Meanwhile, Corax delayed a pretty much done compliance 7 more months because he wanted revenge on a defeated old dude.

Massive overkill and fear tactics != Berserking

Khorne Berserkers are known for abandoning positions and vehicles so they can get into melee.

Pale Nomads do the murder everything, but maintain a chain of command and use of tactics. They have a plan to murder everything, instead of dropping in and murdering. They do it in an organized and systematic faction.
>>

Not that anon but there is a difference between Sharks and WE in that one will charge headlong and murder everything, the other will sneak upon you and kill everyone and then plant a nuclear bomb and kill the rest.

One is methodical overkilling, the other is pure violence and that has always been the character of Space Sharks.

This is where its the perspective of the audience vs whats happening that a lot of people misunderstand.

WHen you watch everyone die in a bloody manner its a slaughter, a butchering, to you. Add in purposful phrasing by authors to drive that terminology home. But its not going berserk when sharks attack; its a predator tearing apart prey. Theres no hate in it, no malice, no rage. Just the instinct to kill. Just like a real shark.

>>50765609
The Blindess is described exactly like Ash Blind/Sable Brand in HH3. XIX marines that had the black eyes and pale skin would succumb to a dark desire to kill with no regard for themselves. It was driven by rage, it was like above. Driven by instinct to kill, nothing more nothing less. TO the audience it looks like they are going cray cray and in a frenzy. And from our perspective thats not an inaccurate description. Its just not the whole truth. This is where some think "Oh they are just night lords duh. Loyalist berserkers."

Those are berzerkers, hyperviolent brutes that would bite on shields and ignore wounds like the berzerkers from the viking stories.
The Ashen/Sable blind were more controlled. They still lost themselves in a murderous craze, but it would be more of a John Wick style.
Corax would beat Guilliman three times in a RoW until he decided to use a similar tactic (let's all ignore the Blindness is more a geneseed quirck than a tactic) and so the Consul known as Moritat ("Deadly deed") would be introduced to the wider legiones astartes.

How to we fix xenos deathlocks? They're shit.

AP2? Makes them worth considering over combiplasma, their direct competitor. Sure deathlocks aren't one use, but you have a higher chance of killing one of your own guys.

You need 4 deathlocks to kill one marine. The total shots fired is 8, the average ob 2d6 is 7. So if your guy doesn't have an invul you lose a guy too. Congrats, you spent 34 points to kill a marine and your own guy. That's terrible. You could have bought one combi plas for 10 points and done better. Three for 30 points would have done a shit ton better than 4 deathlocks for 34.

Take termis then, 4 deathlocks are 12 points and kill one marine and maybe you dont kill your guy because of the invul. One combi plas is still better for 10 points.

The more deathlocks you take the bigger the chance you have of killing one of your own dudes. The d6 bonus wounds against the enemy is not worth much if you only kill one and give a -1 to the leadership test.

I think AP2 and make them 20 straight and 15 to swap for a combi bolter. Then theyre expesnive, killy, and still dangerous to use.

I hate to give this answer, but I don't think FW cares that much about fixing them, seeing how they're one option for the very minor faction that is blackshields.

I know. It doesn't really bother me. I accept they are about New>fixing, and sometimes things do get fixed, but not to expect it soon. Its ok, it doesn't bother me as much anymore.

See ive been working on an errata for my group since jan. Watching batreps, playing, etc. I got LACAL covered, some BRB changes and im working on specific factions.

Yes. They're slightly better at killing militia. But you could take a combi volkite and the argument repeats itself. But its even more skewed in favor of the volkite because of deflag.

The previous version was -15 for termi squads in it, and -5ppm. But then I saw the targeter rule talk and figured that a buff would make more sense than a discount. My group liked it a lot too. Besides, read on, Tartaros with SS are the way to fist.

But I do invite you to make that change to a discount and run it by your group. If it works for you guys go for it. My version is by no means the 'unofficial official'.

I have two dread claws that I'm converting, but I'm not sure what to put in them for my Night Lords. The problem is that I'm still not sure what the comp of my army will be. I think I want at least one full Volkite Terror squad, a raptor squad, and some clawed termies.

What about making Command Squads characters?
>>
>>50769105
I do remember seeing a discussion about command squads. But I wasn't a part of it. Was it about making them characters?

That would make them qualify for some legion specific gear like scythes, phoenix spears, and power daggers. Though Deathshroud and, in this case discounted, Phoenix Termis exist. Though being able to take 'lite' versions of them with alternate kit and things like combiplas would be pretty cool. It does make sense thematically. I'll read through the legion gear and run numbers. Since theyre all one wound except for the bearer Look Out, Sir is pretty limited in usefulness.
>>
>>50769073
your buff to headhunters does nothing besides encourage using them as seekers, the problem isn't reliability, their problem is to much incidental gear that drives up their cost, make them 160 for the first five, and 22 for each additional one but move them to elite.

compared to veterans; veterans would have power swords OR combi weapons compared to the combi-bolter power dagger shroudbomb, infiltraite headhunters.
>>
command squads are ok currently and I don't think there's anything wrong with them? maybe change the option from combi-bolter to combi-weapon and give them chosen warriors (but I think they already have this?) DESU I'd prefer it if they got a champion as a secondary sergeant kinda deal.
>>
>>50769162
That unit is one of the more 'in the works' entry. I had a longer version that basically rewrote them like destroyers and it was a mess. I used Veterans as a starting reference too. Then Seekers and the cost kept getting wonky. So I decided to take baby steps with them and start small.

Headhunters are Seeker+ though. Thats their job. It even says they started off as Seeker Squads and evolved into HH in their unit entry lore.

Mor Deythan are like Seeker+ as well. But where MD is better at shooting than Seekers, HH are better in melee as well and aren't 'one-use' like MDs Fatal Strike and Seekers Marked For Death. Head Hunters can keep on hunting well after their initial target is dead.

You use MD to really kill a specific target in shooting. Seekers to kill a target and camp with Scorpius ammo. And Head Hunters to assassinate, and then keep on the move killing power armor.

I do agree they do have bloat from a lot of kit though. I try to add before I subtract in these cases. The next step from what the errata has them now may be to discount them and remove Precision Shot and remove some of their kit as stock, and make them options. IE remove daggers, venom spheres, banestrike, etc from the stock loadout and make them cheap options so you can customize. That way nothing is really taken away, but you aren't forced to take everything.
>>
>>50769218
yes but no matter how discounted you make them, until you start hacking away at their unique stuff the only thing you're going to end up with is... seekers. why not keep the gizmo kit, discounted it a bit and have them as something that does the same job as seekers but in a different way.

in the end all the legion unique units are one of 4 archetypes.
shooty marine, stabby marine, shooty terminator or stabby terminator. with some that are "do everything" marines like reavers and headhunters. to me its really boring to delegate headhunters to combi-plasma snore squad just like the normal seekers are.

banestrike combi-bolter
18" S4 Ap5 Assault 2, Rending, shred.

there, I fixed them into a close range tactical marine+ that shooty tooty's and then charges into melee to clean up.
>>
>>50769256
herp, forgot the Twin linked in my haste.
>>
>>50769256
>>50769256
>does the same job as seekers but in a different way
Thats what their venom spheres, power daggers, and game-long PE do. They con blow their combi loads, and then keep killing well in assault. Something seekers can't do. Seekers are 99% Shooting. HH are half shooting and half melee, and they do both well. Seekers only get the PE once but its against anything and you have a declare part of the rule. HH get it all game and you can use it when you want. Then charge in for melee. Combi melta may even be better, since it's assault you can then charge with venom spheres and go to town with power daggers.

Im working on the next iteration now. At this moment its:

Base cost is 125, and 15ppm. Removed Precision Shots. Then I added power daggers as an option and venom spheres as well. Right now I'm doing some numbers on what to price them as. 5ppm for daggers and 25 for squad wide VS(to match the generic pricing) will give a discount of 25 points if you take a full 10 with dagger and spheres. Then if you give them all combi plas they'll cost the same as 10 seekers with 9 combi plas. Less if you use this errata to give the sarge one, but Seekers to have AP2 ammo.

They trade the different ammo types for banestrike and better melee, Marked for Death with PE(Infantry), and Seekers Precision Shot for Infiltrate.
>>
thats 275 points vs 255 (seekers) for worse shooting(worse then scorpius in all the ways) that doesn't synergize into assault, if headhunters are supposed to be 50% shooting and 50% assault then they need rules that synergize into them shooting a salvo and then running into that melee. they have infiltraite as a way to get close enough to use their short ranged bolters, but the window where you should use the bolter over the pistol is minimal. it'd probably be somewhat midly interesting to remove the combi bolter and switch them into a kind of destroyer instead, with options for combi weapons (or combi bolter) but thats going against fluff a bit.

give them relentless or grav harnesses for their bolters? 9" assault scorpius rounds sounds hilarious with PE and allow them to keep precision shot (with banestrike being AP3)

>Destroyers

It's a fine line to alter these without making them excessively "disposable" or making them excessively Mary-Sue like Coldsteel the Hedgeheg. I think they're currently a bit too "disposable".

I think they could be more interesting if they were outfitted a bit like Tactical Support Squads, with one pistol type per squad, and then special attacks like "Fury of the Legion" available to them with those weapons, though obviously they would be allowed to move beforehand and charge afterwards, while being caught out if they haven't cleared the way by turn's end.

So, if you declared "the bolt pistol FOTL", you'd get to fire each pistol twice, and/or with rending.
Volkite serpentas would be able to fire in templates instead, with a rule somewhat like a boosted "gets hot" for them, or just give them shred for a turn with that boosted "gets hot" as well. Hand-Flamers could get a special, once-per-game attack with phosphex, where if they don't shoot blasts or templates, shoot Assault D3 soul blaze phosphex weapons with very high chances of a "gets hot" effect applying the hits randomly to their unit.

Then to make Moritats useful again, let them apply shred to its units pistols, or at least give them preferred enemy.

Another way you could go is give the moritat enough rules to make him a real edgelord super-stealthy lone-wolf Mary Sue like the fluff supposes him to be (people would hate this though):

>Acute Senses
>Crusader
>Hatred (Traitors/Loyalists/Everything)
>Hit and Run
>Precision Strikes and Shots
>Rampage
>Shrouded

This might make him OP, but he isn't the same beast as other centurions who operate in a support role rather than an aggro role. (Unless you make him the support HQ solely for Destroyer squads)
Apply any of those special rules you see fit to Destroyers to see what use they are.

PE(Infantry) would be nice. They had it in HH3, but was removed for Age of Darkness Legions for reasons I don't know, maybe they wanted to make Alpharius compulsory or something, glad to see you added it. Don't take away their Precision shots. >>50769256's Banestrike profile looks nice.

Also, can your errata fix the Venom Sphere Harness thing? Currently only the Lernean Harrowmaster has it. It should be available to Legion termies too, or at least Terminator-equipped ICs.

Also, Phalanx Wardens can already be the compulsory troops: the RoW says they become "troops", doesn't specify "non-compulsory only" like The Reaping's Veteran & Heavy support squads.

So I have Autek Mor and some IH legion units, and a couple of Raven Guard Tacticals. Do I need a Raven guard HQ for the tacticals?

I actually sent a Johnny for the Secret Santa and I know Johnny anon sent one as well, since he has taken upon himself to recast those. A bit disappointed the anon that got it didn't acknowledge it, rather only the Box of Dreamforge troopers but oh well.

A few weeks ago I was painting a Tartaris. I quickly posted the pauldrons to show the effect of masking tape to do clean hazard stripes easily, and some anon took them, cropped and shopped them on Perty's face, which indeed looks like sunglasses on >>50771017

The Johnny meme is one anon posting a RT beakie, Brother Craig, looking like he's talking to his magazine, which reminded another anon of the kid that talks to his plank from a cartoon, and baptised him Johnny, like in said cartoon. Pretty much everyone in the /wip/ threads like this harmless mini and it has since then become a symbol, being painted in several colours by other anons. Just a harmless community meme all in all.

Oh, wow.
Yeah, that glasses meme is fantastic. One of my favourite reaction images.
And your hazard painting would surely have done a good job of making the round and smooth Tartaros look like the desperate, harsh Iron Warriors' wargear. Though I can't say I've seen your originals on the model yet, so I'll withhold more conclusive judgement.

"Johnny" is a weird looking mini but I can't say I find it really funny, just cute.

Memes are the DNA of the soul.
You have a strong soul.
You're basically a psyker.

You're a pillar of /tg/'s glorious meme culture though.

Here, have a not so perfect picture of a part of my Bitter Boys.
>>
>>50758373
All right everyone, give me your wish list for Inferno. What do you want to get out of that book?
>>
>>50772152
Given that I don't play TS or SW (along with the majority of people) I hope that the Talons of the Emperor list isn't super restrictive as previewed in White Dwarf (i.e. squads have wargear options). Also maybe some cool ZM missions?
>>
>>50764345
we all have our head-canon, but most of us don't choose to force it on others.
>>
>>50772152

The TS and SW are both nearly dead-last in terms of my interest for Legions, so I'm mainly hoping for some unit reworks (ie. Destroyers) and good, readable fluff + colour plates.

Ah, I remember those.

Yes, the Tartaros looks suitably bitter.
Though this might be a trick of the light, the fact that the lower kneepads seem darker, combined with the muddy base, makes them reminiscent of wellington boots.
Good stuff.

>>50772152
Custodes who are actually stronger than Emperor's Children rank and file.

Thousand Sons who can tailor their psychic use to make them an all-purpose army, without being OP or not diverse enough.

And that there be some kind of surprise/bonus for players of at least some other legions.
Specifically, these guys, with some kind of Imperial Fists exclusive elite unit built around them, perhaps being able to give them all assault cannons. The Dakka is OUR birthright, Blood Angels! Stay out of this!

>Custodes who are actually stronger than Emperor's Children rank and file.
Phoenix Terminators are hardly Rank and File.
Plus, Custards are already better than them.
>>
>>50772152
Honestly, at this stage, I want Inferno to be average. No big surprises, no major fluff-shakeups, the wolves and the sons comfortably in the mid-tier of the legion power rankings. Nothing to cause a shitstorm, in other words. Just...an average book, with decent-enough fluff and rules.
>>
>>50772503
I want it to be over so we can see legions without horrifically botched story arcs.
>>
>>50772503
>comfortably in the mid-tier of the legion power rankings

I just realised - I've never heard what people think the legion rankings are. That's probably a good sign.
>>
>>50772503
I'm also hoping for not too much of a shake up, or suddenly being overrun by Leviathans or Cortus contemptors for example.
The experimental rules for that custodes tank didn't exactly fill me with much hope on that however.
>>
>>50772579
What was the matter with the custodes tank?
>>
>>50772746
It's really good. AP 2 with extra oomph.

but I did post in /wip/ that I got the johnny and the einzernkern's (and a chaos lord) you probably just missed it at that time. its me, awefully dirty luna wolves anon
>>
>>50772833
So does the Sicaran, but at least that tank used a powered up autocannon. This one uses pretty much a cooled plasma gun.
>>
>>50772746
It's 30 points more than a Sicaran, but for that it gets
> Three str 6 ap 3 shots and 3 str 7 ap 2 shots, both with +1 on vehicle damage chart and toughness test for wounded models. Failed is removed from play.
> BS5 and Power of the machine spirit
>side AV 13 and a flareshield
>is a fast skimmer with outflank too
> -2 on to hit rolls for enemy models trying to hit it in close combat
>>
>>50772865
Sicarans can't jink, silly.
>>
>>50772566
WE are generally considered at bottom tier.
>>
>>50772880
That's pretty good desu.

Honestly, it is pretty expensive. I think the sicarian should get cheaper in comparison.
>>
>>50772886
I ran my WE against IG/eldar on sunday, it was a brutal slaughter for them, so the only reason the WE aren't amazing is because they don't have AP2 at I4.
>>
>>50772886
I thought chainaxes being S+1 brought them to the same standard?

But yeah, quad mortar ironfire aside, the legions are pretty balanced.
>>
>>50772886
I used to think that until I ran into an Angron, Kharn, Ghalen, and 10 red butchers deathstar.

Hell.
