The Past is dead.
With the Gungeon ransacked and the gun discharged, the Bulletkin are without purpose. For millennia, they and their allies had fended off any incursion. Armies lay shattered at their feet, their tools taken for use in the defense. Countless Gungeoneers had ventured into those, all seeking the gun that can erase their heinous mistakes. Countless Gungeoneers left dejected, only alive due to the mercy of that treasure which they sought. Yet more have been trapped within, taken prisoner for their transgressions. For millennia, the Gungeon lay indomitable, and Kaliber had been pleased.
However, it only takes one failure for it all to end.
Unlike the others, this Gungeoneer never gave up. A thousand times he fell to the floor riddled with bullet-holes, and a thousand times he returned to try again. Time proved his ally, and he eventually stood triumphant atop a mountain of shells, bullets and explosives, his prize in his grasp.
He fired the Gun that can kill the Past.
Brought low by their defeat, a single Bulletkin has taken it upon himself to right this wrong. Called traitor by his kin, he fought tooth and nail to pursue that Gungeoneer, following in his footsteps as he battled through the place he once called home. After years of fighting his brothers and sisters, he finally forged the only bullet that that holy Gun will accept, and set out upon the trail. He would recover what was stolen and use it to erase that Gungeoneer from existence and return the Gungeon to its former glory.
The Bulletkin shall kill his Past.

Got some further progress on my CYOA Its still a work in progress. Page one is done I think (except for all the spelling and grammar errors).

Did some changes on it since I posted it before nerfed the Angel, The Shadow, invulnerability, cleared up some things that was not very clear. Added some texts here and there.


I will start working on the Second page tomorrow which will be Powers and Artifacts. The last page will be Companions, Quests and Drawbacks.

Would love some feedback and yes I know the spelling and grammar is terrible ><

Probably around new years. I am looking into adding a new discipline if I am able to fit it all. Seperating elements from the Magical discipline and just making an Elemental tree. Just a thought experiment right now but I wanted to ask feedback on it tomorrow.

It will take some work to come up with new stuff but now that I've really starting thinking about skills I wanted to change or add made me come up with way too much stuff that I kind of want to add.

The Culling is automatic and teleports all hunters who didn't take exemption to a random location on a fuckhuge island where they need to survive the last 40 days of the prevernal season, recall is turned off for the duration. The survivors are teleported back at the end of the Culling.

Bless has stated in the past that the island is sufficiently large enough to contain all the major biomes found in the hunting license, its large enough that chances of interacting with another hunter is slim unless you are actively trying to find the others and the mortality rate is like 10% or so, more hunters die from hunting monsters than getting killed during the Culling.

#1 is a baby-crazy (in the exact words of the CYOA) yandere. She should be reasonably safe as long as you don't directly piss her off. Still might crush you but that just comes with the species.

#2 is perfectly safe, just weird and not very really relatable.

#3 is fine. Author was going for cute and dorky. Worst part about her is just being a cockroach.

#4 as I've stated is a PTSD time bomb. She's a danger to herself and others regardless of her intent and would easily qualify to be institutionalized on both merits.

#5 continues to engage in serious criminal acts without remorse and would have no problems killing you or anyone else, or at least having them killed, if you or they were to get in her way. I was wrong when I called her a sociopath, because she appears to have no conscience whatsoever, which renders her a psychopath.

Buying vacation during prevernal doesn't exempt you from the culling, because all it does is make it so you don't have to hunt. It doesn't affect what others can do to you like exempt does, so its basically useless during culling.

During the culling, anything is allowed. That means that your private dimension ain't so private anymore. I'm not the maker, but since I posted it, my understanding has been that since you are the hivemind, you naturally share a brain with all host bodies. It seems clear too that once your original body dies, you still remain alive within your other hosts. I see a lot of murderrapists, I see a lot of anti-culling pussies, and I see even more completely normal non retarded/crazy person builds, so I decided to make something new.

Basically, I hang out in the underground and the bounty hall and take out contracts to torture and alter the minds of people for money. I can forge contacts with various criminals/gangs and be sure they'll protect me during the culling because no one offers similar services. I can also make friends/allies with good and neutral people, because I'm sure that if I were to offer them protection from my services and from other people with nefarious deeds towards them I could be just as valuable as they are too me.

The skills I took were taken not to be combat-effective, but in fact to be as useful in interrogation and torture as possible. To start, I would of course scout out the target and use a combination of telepathy and simple old-fashioned spying to find out their strengths and weaknesses. After that, the first step is to find out a time they will be alone or to orchestrate my allies/my contractor capturing them. From then on, I'm going to use time and gravity warp to weaken their senses of time and touch and disorient them so their mental barriers will be weakened, as well as using poisons to weaken them further (My high INT stat of 11 should help me learn to create different concoctions, and my access to the alchemy, library, market, and scavenging resources should yield me all the ingredients and extra knowledge I need.). After that, it's a combination of my powerful dark magic and my psionic abilities that allow me to torment their minds to whatever degree I wish and extract information, change their opinions, or even more drastic measures. After that, I get paid, the amount depending on the job.

I chose all of the monsters I did because I know that they would be the most useful in future jobs. The arachnid's horrifying appearance and binding webs, the basilisk's petrifying glare, and most importantly the strange's illusions would make my life a whole lot easier (And I do think they could make quite good pets, ohohoho!). I get the feeling this is an old version because I'd usually add the Club and the Hunter's semi-guild and friends, with about 10 or 15 tribute left over for some later trades as needed.

At the end of the day, I fly around on a summoned spirit, setting traps, kiting monsters, and have a means or weapon of every sort to handle whatever comes my way. I don't have or need any T4 skills as long as I'm patient and methodical about drawing out each quarry's death by poison overdoses one arrow at a time, or using magic to strike at vulnerabilities revealed by Killer Instinct and library study sessions.

If you don't want to be part of the culling all you have to do to get by is go for a higher threat zone. If you're not distracted by PvP risks then PvE should be just fine.

All the powers, no downsides. People can easily leave or split off or merge groups. With Puppet there is no max cap to hive size just how quickly you can add people, but you can split the hive to double the rate. The main problem is getting those first few people, especially with the slow maturity. The larger the hive the more attractive since there's more skills and knowledge.

For adding people the 2hr ritual needs to be done by the OHB, but it's not clear whether someone else can make the doll itself. If others can be taught to make them, perhaps the applicant themselves, then I'd switch to the 24hrs for the 4x faster maturity. The 1wk doll's +6 HBL doesn't matter when the limit is the 2hr ritual at max 84/wk.

The culling separates the weak from the herd, but so does the very nature of the prey we hunt. The monsters of this hunter's haven though, will only kill you. The other hunters might do the same, but there's a lot of despicable aspects of the Culling that I'dsimply rather not deal with.

I want to plan out my hunts, enjoy my adventures, and take my risks. There's no real drive on my part to hunt down and kill people that could very well be part of my support network, fellow hunting buddies and allies were it not for a murder-spree holiday.

Paranoia isn't fun outside of the RPG of the same name, and my abilities and style of hunting requires drawing out the engagement and taking it apart slowly. Even if I did buy up a bit more confrontational power with those 25 more points, it would mean fighting enemies that are likely to go for a quick kill via overwhelming strengths or mind-rending hax.

It's not that, it's the constant emphasis on strength. Which isn't what most hunting is about. Mostly it's patience, you sit three hours waiting in a bog to jump a buck. In pack animals it's teamwork that brings down prey and aiming for the weakest links in the prey. Specialization and Strength have their bit, but a god wholly focused on 'survival of the fittest' strikes me more in line as warrior or conquest over nature figure.

But that's just my thought on the lore and my issue with it.

I look at this one and wonder what we could know about the last person who used the control panel.

We know there had to have been such a person. We also know that person changed something. From the position of the slider, we know that the change altered everyone's memories but didn't rewrite history itself. The entity says it comes around every few thousand years, meaning that the last person to use the control panel lived somewhere in the general ballpark of 1000 B.C.

So what did the last user change?

The position of the slider suggests that we can look for physical evidence of the change even though nobody who lived through it would notice. Skeletons older than 1000 B.C. indicate that humans never had tails, claws, horns, wings, or (widespread) gigantism. It's relatively subtle, but skeletal evidence probably also rules out the possibility that either one of the puberty sliders was set at 1 or 4. Ancient art suggests that humans had hair and were sexually dimorphic with respect to hips and breasts. There's no "facial hair" switch, so the absence of bearded figures with hips and breasts suggests that women had them and men didn't. We can be pretty confident that the last user of the panel didn't hit the "gender flip" button, as well, because that would show up as a sudden inversion in succession; formerly patriarchal societies would become matriarchal and vice versa.

That leaves the puberty sliders, the intelligence dials, and the "hide", "pheromones", "libido", "aggression", and "cycle" switches. The last user may have

3) Chosen to give humanity a sex drive (unlikely; that probably predates 1000 B.C.)
