Debuff clerics are great, but I just want to add if they read this that you don't want things that are save or die, like phantasmal killer (I know it's not a cleric spell), because then if they do save then you've done nothing. Things like Boneshatter are great because it doesn't matter whether or not they save. Either they take 1d6 per CL and are exhausted, or they take half and are fatigued. Either way they're not going to be doing nearly as much.

As a beginning GM, how should I handle Perception checks in general? Currently, the players are traversing a dungeon full of Oozes, but a lot of these Oozes require perception checks to be seen. Your character could probably be raised in a community that was largely lawful, worshipping a particular god, so it's just what he knows and is comfortable with.

Maybe there's a particular aspect of a LN god that appeals to him and that he focuses on despite being further from his agenda than a cleric or typical worshipper might be.

So my party will soon be travelling into series of caves in a mountain we believe to be the home of a Duergar slaver who is intended to be the boss of the next arc, and is responsible for the butchering and enslavement of our paladin's hometown

We've encountered him before after he had finished hitting a surface town with his underlings trying to gather more slaves for his mines and more women to do unspeakable things to

I am looking for a way to strategize against him effectively to reduce risks to the party

Here's what I know about him
He has a crown capable of using dominate person and possibly charm person
His crown makes him more resistant to charm and enchantment effects
He has some kind of gauntlets that are capable of collapsing buildings, we cornered him in a tower the first time we found him and where he was holding the would be slaves - so he punched part of the building and brought it down on all of us and the hostages
We suspect he's a monk
He might have anywhere between 12 and 120 underlings

There are currently five of us, several members of the party aren't optimized, in fact I'd say none of us are -

We have a half orc inquisitor, no archetypes - uses a flaming falchion +1 with bane and judgements and infernal healing

A sacred servant paladin who is running sword and board

A witch

A magus who is trying out TWF

And a bard, who goes without saying does very little damage - and uses a bow

We're going into the underground against someone who can collapse buildings so this is already pretty not optimal, and the paladin wants to challenge him to a duel but I don't think that's going to happen

The Dwarves are currently locked in a civil war in their home region against the Duergar so these are likely some off branch of that society in their own raiding clan or some shit, they've been active for a bare minimum of 70 years since that's when the paladin's hometown was sacked

The dwarves are busy with their civil war but they might be interested in getting involved if it means stamping out duergar, if not hopefully they can provide me with some intel on the system these duergar are set up in

no i think you can literally do it because as part of a full attack routine you can use natural attacks, and with the natural spell combat you can deliver spells with it

Worst mistake ever. They need more INT than a standard magus because all their spells focus on enchantment and illusions. Which is stupid because they need a moderate DEX and some CHA as well in their build.

Its a pretty good single target disabler, but in PF, the wizard can crowd control with little effort while the magus should focus on rocket-tagging instead.

The choice came down to whether I went heavy on Iron Tortoise maneuvers for defensive interrupts and SoLs, or Scarlet Throne/Primal Fury for damage, compared to and in lieu of the offensive capacity of an UC monk.
If the UC monk is ded killy, I will focus on keeping him alive from the front lines so he can bear the lion's share of the wetwork, while the cleric buffs us both/debuffs the enemy.

The party is supposed to be just two PCs, each with their own free familiar (or, if they get it as a class feature, improved familiar). Psionic classes can get psicrystal or familiar but not both. Once player already decided to go with stalker (vigilante) and should be a competent damage dealer/skillmonkey with almost-permanent stealth. The second player (me) should probably be caster of some kind and I am not sure what would be better. I like psionics but occultist also looks like quite versatile and strong option. As a psion I would probably go for Dual Disciple with psionic knack to mitigate lost manifester level on my other disciplines (cheesy but our GM allows it). One of my disciplines should be metacreativity so I can use astral constructs as flank-buddies and general support for the stalker. I have no experience with Occultist so I am not sure if it would perform better, worse or comparably.

Because he's a typical 'knight in shining armor', and the goddess of demons is actually a sleeping little girl, the demons are just people in her dreams., he gets all the attention from his goddess, and thus, is the most powerful. At least combat wise.

Truthfully he has no idea how to run a country, how to reconcile his paladin ways with demonic culture, his subjects are terrified of him because he was, up until a year ago, a professional demon slayer, and all of his court plots against him.

When he does make a decree, things tend to work out because of the goddess, but he doesn't really see it happen so he's still a bit shy on actually making any proclamations.

It's pretty kitchenboxy by design; typically something I use for new players to get into, so there's not much that's interesting unless you like demon cowboys or animal-folk pirates who build their ships out of wood made from under-sea forests.

The demons themselves are the psychic creation of a little girl who died when her city was attacked by a neighboring city. She lost sight of her parents, so instead she followed an middle-aged soldier who believed himself beyond any redemption for his sins, and when his soul sank to the abyss, she followed. The abyss couldn't touch anyone who was pure, so although it could take the soul that believed itself to be damned, it couldn't touch the girl. But without a body or proper plane, a soul struggles to subsist on it's own. So the girl falls asleep, the abyss surrounds her and pulls her down, and her dreams change how the abyss works; creating from the middle-aged man the first demon; based off the stories she was told that were used to scare her into doing right things, and creates a world around him, known as the 'netherworld'

Bout a hundred years later, demons have their own culture, their own ideas, but know their souls are flawed because they're not products of the gods, but of the abyss; and when they die, their soul unravels, killing them for good. So they seek the gods to fix their souls, and when the gods don't answer, they get angry. Someone takes advantage of this, organizes them, and declares war against the gods.They succeed in capturing one, tentatively capture another, and eventually their leader is slain and the demons fall to the combined might of the 'overworlds' forces. The scars of the war has brought the 'dream state', known as the Mists, to the overworld, and thus sets the stage for the players to start the game in.
